I've seen people who play the first time and are instantly good players, they have a knack for it. some take longer.

 

When I read that sentence, immediately Luthine popped into my mind.  She was crazy good in her first few games, and beyond.  Whatever happened to her anyways?  :-\

I have a reason to believe Boopsy. I ask you to redirect your idea of who to lynch. I can't say why, but I know he is innocent. If you think this is a scum tactic to through you off fine you are entitled to your opinion, but he is innocent.

Boopsy has been in 5 games I believe and has died early on in most of them if I remember. I just think that maybe you all are judging him without all the facts. Some people take longer to understand the intricacies of mafia.

Nah, I no longer claim noobiness in this game. There's still alot to learn and I am no where near my brother in terms of Mafia games, but yeah, I have been involved in some pretty cool moves and DID NOT DIE as a result.

 

I'm not scum. I'm defending myself vehemently because I have a role. And trust me, it's not a good role to lose at this point in time. *nods*

 

I'm not keen in lynching Talm either, but he does ping my radar some. So, until someone else pings it even more I'm sticking to this.

I really don't think either Boopsy or Min are scum, at this point. If what they said is a scum tactic, it's not a very smart one, because it draws attention to them.

Why are you hinting at a powerful day acting role just to say Boopsy is innocent and on day one to boot?  That's really anti-town.

*Laughs* I'm just trying to pressure people and see what happens. I'm not good at doing what you and Pete do to hound people. As for Boopsy I've seen him in action in another game and know he can be very subtle and good. I wouldn't for an instant consider him a noob. Either way I think he can and should defend himself.

 

Edit: I hate half reveals so much. Boopsy you just painted a target on your back for all sorts of possible night actions that Lily probably has created for tonight. It does make me look closer at you though, for now I'll leave my vote until someone else can be pressured.

 

 

EDIT EDIT: They are claiming to be masons. I'm assuming they can't reveal that. Like I said I hate half reveals. That is enough to lose my vote for now.

Lily said reveals were allowed, so there's no reason for Min and Boopsy to only half-reveal, except that many people (including myself) have said reveals on Day 1 are bad. In my opinion, half-reveals are just as bad. Whether they are actually scum or not, I have to agree with Wombat. These actions don't help the town. There weren't that many votes on Boopsy anyway.

 

Several pages back Wombat stated very clearly that Min and Boopsy were scum, before either of them came out and said anything about each other. I wonder if he know something or just saw the connection between them.

 

I'm tempted to vote for Min, because I've seen her use the half-reveal as a scum tactic before, but I don't want to vote based purely on metagaming. So I'm voting [glow=limegreen,2,300]Al Jenn[/glow]. Some of your posts just seem a little off to me.

Sorry for the confusion. I need to clarify. You MAY reveal who your character is, although if you are a villain, that may not be wise *giggle* There are roles who would lose their ability if they are found out. I'm NOT saying whether or not Minuet was given such a role, but they do exist. So, revealing character - yes, revealing role - not everyone. Again, sorry if that was confusing.

Oh don't bother. It's really not necessary. I hate it when people play these games or come up with theories just because it's either been done before and thus ALWAYS WILL BE THAT WAY, or because they feel it SHOULD be done a certain way. I don't really bring a long a history of what people do from previous games. Only the funky stories that happened. Most of the time, people saying things like, "Day one reveals are scummy." are just because it previously happened that way and that's how they see it will always be.

 

You want to talk about experience? Trust me, even when experienced players like Lily and Pete played Rey's game, there were new things to be discovered and new tools to be used. Sure, there's always a basis of generic human behavious to it. But don't close off your options or think things in a certain way just because it seemed to ALWAYS be that way.

 

That's what I mean by being a noob in games. There's always so much to learn. And just because I'm playing Lily's game a second time, doesn't mean I need to meta game much. All I need to do is to trust in my instincts and go with it. Eventually when the game ends, and roles are revealed, it's then good to go back and realise why people did things a certain way. NOT because they've ALWAYS done it that way, but because it's what the situation called for. *grins*

Boopsy, I don't think Day 1 reveals are scummy. Excuse my bluntness, but I think they're dumb. I think they only make things worse, for both town and mafia. So I don't dislike Day 1 reveals because it's ALWAYS been done that way, I just think it isn't helpful to reveal early. For me, it also takes a lot of the fun out of the game. I just think that, espcially recently, people reveal at the drop of the hat and it makes things too easy. For instance, instead of Min's half-revealing, I think she should have tried to deter the votes on you with some other argument. Just my opinion, but I think things are more fun and devious that way ;D

 

Besides, I came out and said I wasn't going to vote for Min based on previous experience with her. I don't know if that comment was directed at me, but let me just say again, I won't vote for someone based only on metagaming.
