As I stated before, I'm not concerned with the Drunk Mafia™ thing -- I'm completely willing to accept that there were reasons outside the game for the difference in behavior. The only reason I haven't already moved my vote off Ishy is that he still hasn't addressed the unvote on Dice when there was a halfway decent reason to vote him in the first place. I think it's a legitimate question.

I'm also noting that Kae still hasn't addressed Wombat's question about why she joke voted after making a serious post FOS'ing 3 people.

Actually I did. I said that I was going to joke vote Ishy like I usually do, but he already had votes, so I voted for my Ajah sister, Key.

A few thoughts for this Monday morning:

Basel, so was it Mynd,

Well, Mynd, I probably wouldn't have bought your argument as much as I did if it weren't for the stuff I noticed on my own. And even then, I thought it was the first half of your argument that was more of a stretch, not the Drunk Mafia part. Ishy's unvote from Dice still pings me, but his initial vote would have been okay if he had left it on Dice, or had something better behind the unvote.

Or Ishy,

I'm also pondering how my own vote on Dice after Ishy voted him fits into this. I'm wondering, did Ishy vote Dice for distancing from him? Does he actually want it to look like he is distancing from Dice, thereby planting suspicion on Dice? Either way, Ishy would be scum under these scenarios. And was Ishy hoping to make it look like anyone after him that voted Dice was bandwagoning? I followed his vote, and then he jumped ship, thus leaving me hanging. I am still keeping an eye on Dice, but I am going to unvote, Vote Ishy.

That influenced your vote?

Underlined: what does his unvoting have to do with your vote at all? That’s an interesting reaction.

Key, to your first question: Ishy didn't really influence my vote on Dice beyond the fact that he happened to have gotten there first while I wasn't around. I would have voted Dice no matter what. As to my vote on Ishy that you are wondering about, Mynd did have a little influence in pointing out how the absence of any seriously drunken behavior was odd, but this was something that had been making me wonder already even before Mynd posted. In any event, when anyone makes a point that I think makes sense, I go back and look at what they are talking about for myself rather than taking it on faith, and I did a read-through of Ishy's posts. What I do find odd is Mynd's case of Ishy's vote on Dice, which I found by itself to be quite legitimate.

You asked what Ishy's unvote had to do with my vote. I found his unvote to be seriously scummy. Ishy voted Dice for good reasons, the same reasons I used for voting Dice. But then he unvoted Dice for silly, jokey reasons. He didn't give much of a case for unvoting Dice after presenting a good case for voting him in the first place; his whole unvoting case sums up as if Dice is a Bones fan, then he must be town. I don't know if he was trying to plant suspicion on anyone coming after him on the Dice train and then unvoted once that happened, or if he was trying to defend Dice, or just make it look like he was distancing from Dice. But I think if you make a serious case on someone and then unvote for jokey reasons, then that's a hard ping. What his unvote has to do with my vote, I don't know. It could be that my Dice vote was irrelevant, but it could be that he felt I made myself look scummy by following him onto Dice, and that I stood out more by being alone on the Dice wagon.

Dice and Ishy are both pinging. Basel actually summarized my thoughts very well. ^^

Sorry Ishy luv, but you are acting very oddly this game.

Something bothers me about this post. Quite a large chunk of Basel's post above hers had to do with his reasons for voting Dice, how much influence Mynd had on his decision to vote Ishy, and attributing all manner of WIFOM to Ishy's intent relative to who else was on the Dice train.

That summarizes her thoughts well?

I'm feeling this as a bandwagon vote more than anything else.... and that coupled with her evasion of Wombat's question concerns me.

Unvote, Vote Kae

I think that Songstress makes a valid point here about Kae's thoughts being summarized well by Basel's post. Surely she can't mean that the entire thing summarized her thoughts well, because there's quite a bit in there to be agreeing with. Kae, could you clarify which parts of Basel's post you agreed with? Or else state that you did in fact agree with the entire summarization?

unvote

Since no one is biting on Kate, I will move my vote to Sakaea for the same reason.

I would have been willing to take a look at Kate. As I said earlier. Not feeling the Kae thing though.

Sakaea was bandwagoning with a weak reason, but Kate seemed to be the first to push for, yet has backed off without changing her vote. We have until Friday so there should be plenty of time.

Is there any particular reason you aren't feeling the Kae train, Ishy? Or just a general gut read you have on her at this point? As Mynd says, we have plenty of time between now and Friday and plenty could change between now and then.

To be honest, I'm not feeling the Kae train either, but there are valid points that have been raised about her that I would like to see her respond to that I outlined above.

Bolding mine; those being the parts that summarized my thoughts.

I would like to point out that I'm being voted for having "bandwagon voted" Ishy, but at least half the votes on my train are coming off as pure bandwagon also. Contradiction much?

Yay, EP's here! Vote EP! And darnit, those blasted "K" girls are here too.

*waves* Yes we are. Hi

Yay, EP's here! Vote EP! And darnit, those blasted "K" girls are here too.
Hey!! You leave my harem alone!!

Speaking of which... Oh hey, it's Friday night. Lemme guess. *holds out hand for the Tahoe keys*
Nope, tonight, I'm abstaining. It's a miracle, right?
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH ISHY?
Wondering the same thing here. Vote Ishy(?) or whomever is impersonating him.

Ok, game time. Ironeyes becomes the first person to put a second vote on someone. Minor FOS.

My cordial greetings, to you all I do extend  hi!

Hinting Yoda much?

Here, and keeping my promise: Passive-aggressively joke voting Ishy.
Songstress, were you a Minnesotan in a past life? Because we have the passive-aggressivity turned into an art form.
So true!
Let us spread the Minnesota love! Vote: Nyanna.

Razen promptly votes for Nyanna right after she hints at Yoda. This may not mean much, as it is pretty early to be truly character hinting. Just striking me as odd.

Here in wisconsin the weather is schitzophrenic. We go from 30 degrees one day to 80 the next. No joke.

Here too. I live in North Idaho.

*twirls hair wiv a finger and pretends she has so seen this movie* >.> :P

This is unacceptable.

vote Nyanna for not having seen the films. Poor show *shakes head*

A second vote on Nyanna.

Vote Nya Roos reason seems a good one!

And a third, which is blatant bandwagoning. FOS dice.

Dice, Roo, is this your first game?

And of course, Vote Key. Hi sis

This post is scummy. First Sakaea points out what she calls a Yoda hint. Why would a townie point out a Yoda hint? Yoda is probably pretty important so I don't like the Yoda-fishing. Then she does some facile FoSing on people who bandwagoned Nya but joke votes Key. Why would you FoS and joke vote? Why not just dispense with the joking and vote one of your FoSes?

Vote: Sakaea

Okay, this may be suicidal on my part, and completely not in my own self interest, but I have to address a few things:

@Razen: When you ask why I'm not feeling the Kae lynch, I'll refer you to the statements she laid out above. Specifically, the points she bolded. While I stated earlier that plenty of you that were on my train were using meta to case me, Kae instead actually had facts to back up her vote. They were legitimate points, and although I have addressed the points that were brought up against me, Kae didn't have the benefit of my explanation at the time of her vote. She saw something she saw as scummy (and I already fessed up that I would have thought it scummy too were it not me), found facts that backed up her belief, and voted accordingly. I don't see any of that as scummy at all, even considering the fact that it's me she's voting for. Just because someone votes for me doesn't necessarily make them scum in my book.

@Tress: Love, we were all joke voting up till then. And to further back her up, yes, she ALWAYS joke votes me Day One (grumbles about that). Since I already had more than one vote, she couldn't. Most of the seriousness we now find ourselves in didn't come until after this.

I'm just being honest here, I think the case on Kae stinks. You're all looking for a Day One sacrifice and it looks like you've found yourselves a target. It reeks.

Hmmm, okay. I have been watching the Kae case with interest. I'd been waiting to see how she would answer the questions posed to her. Womby's question seems to have provoked an evasive reaction. I'm waiting to see how she responds to Tress's post here before I commit to changing my vote:

Except that you didn't. Wombat's question wasn't why you joke voted Key instead of Ishy. It was why you joke voted at all instead of placing a serious vote on one of your FOS's.

I asked 2 people a question (Roo, Dice) because that would influence a serious vote. I have yet to get an answer from those 2 people.

OK, so here's the question...

Dice, Roo, is this your first game?

And here...

Sakaea, yes it is :)

maw i have played once before well twice but i got NKd on the first day so i dont think that counts!!

AS for a nya Bandwagon....Nyas totally right it was either her or lenlo!!! and not having seen the movies is almost sacrilegious and worthy of a vote!! plus! i dont wanna see any force wielding unicorns or llamas!! plus its Nya!! lol

... are the answers. This looks like skimming to me.

Sure, you didn't have the answers at the time you decided to joke vote, but I think Wombat's point was that you came out in that post and stated "game time" as if you intended to start playing seriously, FOS'd several people, and then joke voted anyway. And it took 8 votes on you to get an answer why... and Ishy's answer is more of an answer than yours.

I'd be willing to accept that you really felt like joke voting until you got an answer to the questions, but you never answered that. And what you did state was that you never got an answer to the questions.

Going to adress each vote on me after Key (joke vote) and Wombat (first serious vote).

I'n the interest of a competeing train and because Sakaea's vote seems more or less a bandwagon vote I'll go ahead and VOTE SAKAEA and apply a little pressure to see what shakes out

EP's appears to be a pressure vote. You've shaken out some interesting reactions and posts. Thoughts?

Looking throught the mess of 15 pages of drunken randomness and entertaining banter... I come to one conclusion. Anyone who tries to vote Ishy based on his ramblings one way or another who's played with him before is up to something.

As such FoS those people. Now maybe folks are just trying to shake some stuff loose, maybe not. But Basel's reasoning seems least appropriate added to by Kae's follow up vote. Especially since Ishy ALWAYS acts very oddly.

Vote Kae

3rd vote on me, using my vote on Ishy as a reason. Ishy does Drunk MafiaTM, I wouldn't call that posting oddly. Just drunkenly.

Unvote: Songstress

Vote: Sakaea

It appears my efforts are wasted elsewhere.

Bandwagon, no reasoning.

I'ma go ahead and unvote because my vote on len was joking, but now dice and sask are pinging me a fair bit. Sask acted oddly with her quick bandwagon and Pale pretty much hit the nail on the head. Ishy is a bit WIFOM atm.

Vote, Saskaea

Bandwagon vote with vague reasoning. Also pointing out that his vote on Lenlo was a joke vote, which is a tell on my personal list.

unvote

Since no one is biting on Kate, I will move my vote to Sakaea for the same reason.

Bandwagon.

Yes, I did miss the answers. I haven't been on as much as I'd like, and I thought I'd been keeping up well. I stand corrected. And I was at like 2 votes this morning, came back to 8. I've been busy with RL, sorry.

I'm at L-3, I will say I am a Jedi, and that I have powers. It's in the Jedi's best interests to not kill me.

Hmmm Would a scum really claim a power role on D1? Under this amount of votes maybe. Im just not sure.

Your claiming powers and saying that it would be in the Jedi/towns best interest to not vote you but that could easily be a scum trying to save them self.

Gonna try and reread abit later when I have time.

Unvote for now as I see D1 is heating up and I don't see a real reason to keep my vote on Nolder.

I agree with Kate and Basel so far but I am reserving voting for right now. These train developments are interesting.

Gettin serious now huh? Well guess I should unvote Mynd since we were jokin back then.

To both Rhea and Lenlo, I personally find it kind of suspicious (or jumpy) when people unvote because it’s “getting serious” and then don’t provide any other information or serious votes.

I figured I'd have time to place a serious vote when I had more information. Right now I am gathering info and will place my vote when I feel that it is warranted.

*you're, darling Len.

I'm toying with the idea of unvoting, but I don't like that you asked two people questions and then just happened to not see their answers. No matter how often or not I get on, I always check for answers to my questions and/or anything written about me while i was gone. After all, why would you ask a question if you don't want to know the answers?
