  3. Let's play another game! This one doesn't require a LOT of thought, but some creativity, or maybe a little google-fu. We're going to name fantasy characters - any published fantasy novel will do, just don't ya know, randomly make up names. If it's from a less popular book or series, feel free to make a note of the book and author so we have something to add to our to be read lists. Here are the rules. 1) The first letter of the name you post MUST BE the last letter of the name from the previous post. So say the post before yours is "Jahar Narishma", your fantasy character name must begin with the letter "A". 2) You can do first names only, or full names, or add in titles that are used in the story - again, just don't make stuff up. Legit references only. So say the post before yours is "Daenerys Targaryen, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Mother of Dragons and Breaker of Chains", your fantasy character name would start with the letter "S", because hello, titles! 3) No repeating names. I know it's rough with some letters, but that's where google comes in handy Get your favorite obscure series ready (or find a wiki) because we're starting with the next post!
  4. Welcome Agreddon! Tell us about you! Have you read the entire Wheel of Time series, and how many times?
  5. Oh hey Vanion! *waves* We lighties appear to be surviving well enough, so.... I guess the Shadow is lazy as always.
  6. Oooh, a new victim for Sooh and her minions! I mean Hello Ark! So what is your favorite Sanderson character? *waits with bated breath*
  7. *crashes* There is no life in which i am okay with being this sleepy at 8:22 PM.
  8. I occasionally build assemble-yourself furniture When i was little i used to love hanging out in the garage with my dad and using tools, so he built me a little clubhouse in the backyard and gave me a little tool set and some scrap lumber and screws and nails to mess around with (I was maybe 8 or 9 years old)... I ended up making a miniature playground, as I recall.
  9. Greetings, Garalath! I'm Tress, the current Light faction leader hereabouts. Cindy here is our resident chef, and it's likely you will gain 10 pounds looking at the things she posts because dang, i'm craving a brownie sundae now. So what did the voices in your head tell you to do most recently?
  10. Thanks. What they have me doing is insurance verification for our specialty pharmacy... I have a great deal of loathing for Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
  11. Another Monday. Somewhat less fun than a barrel of monkeys.
  12. Generally exhausted, lol.... after 7 years of working a later shift (10:30 AM - 7PM) at a job I was very good at (but a little bored with) we had a bit of a shakeup. My company made a major acquisition last year that basically made my entire division redundant, and in an effort to integrate the new acquisition into our company structure, they started reassigning groups of us last month to the company they bought. I was in the "guinea pig" first group, suddenly given a new role in a new company and working a much earlier shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM) doing much more complex work. After 2 weeks of classroom training and 3 weeks of OJT, I have just finished my second week post-training and on any given day I only feel utterly baffled 5-6 times a day. And I'm a QUICK learner. Some of my team is still struggling with more basic stuff. >.>
  13. Eh, yeah, I guess WoT Spoilers are more often about an hour, although they have 1-1/2 to 2 hours every now and then. NotACast is usually closer to 1-1/2 hours and can get to 2 hours or more occasionally. But the analysis and theory discussions are pretty deep and interesting (at least from a hardcore fan perspective).
  14. WoT Spoilers ends up doing just as much per chapter of Wheel of Time, so there's that.
  15. I was surprised at how well we did! Thanks for coming up with this, Niniel!
