For consolidation. Can't say that I'm too happy with how our day 1 has gone so far, but I still think we've been able to collect some info. I'll add more thoughts tomorrow if I can, but a couple of quick things:

 

Damp worried me with his post saying he'd help get Darthe lynched day 4 or 5, that's really kind if too long to let the miller wifom last, its trying to set up future lynches, and his theory about Dart he's character is a bit sketchy considering Darthe is unable to confirm it deny it. Seems like Damp might be trying to use canon to manipulate the game possibly. Additionally his suspicion of me never really made that much sense, could be him trying to discredit me.

 

As for Talya, while some think I'm tunneling in her, I honestly just find her actions to be the scum must so far, and two other things make i noted: She never actually responded to the part of my case focused on her "mafia amongst all those involved" statement, which was the biggest part of my case, and although a few seemed to agree that she looked off this game, their seemed to be a reluctance to join her train. This tells me she'd be an even better info lynch tomorrow, because if she flips scum then we can look at those who seemed to be timid about voting her.

 

Lastly, I'm seeing something which is kind of irritating me so far: there's a lot of players who only seem to be showing up when they see their name in the thread, and don't really offer any other thoughts besides "not me you guys!". Nya has a why me fry me alert on her, as well as a couple if others to a smaller extent.

 

And Dice needs to weigh in more often, he seems to be hanging back too much for someone that us apparently on a lit if people's scumdar.

Despo, I don't believe his miller claim. I don't think he is one. Originally I did but I could never place it in the cannon to where it sat comfortably. But him as a jester type role as that character with that hint? That could fit

The only reason I don't want to lynch him is I think he may be useful. I don't know how but he could be

I think he is the creepy glowing green dude, the leader of the army of the undead. They basically save minis tirith at the end of the 3rd film, plus all they want to do is die.
Therefore I think Darthe needs to die, but I think he may have a role or something that is needed

And I don't think he wins with town, I think he has a solo win. So I'm saying like in the movie we force him to help us (well Aragon does the forcing in the film but in this case I think town can be a stand in )

If we get really close to the deadline and there's no chance of anyone crossing over, fine I MIGHT switch my vote (though honestly I think going random might be the better option here--1/4 chance hitting scum and probably another 1/2 chance we'd hit some kind of vanilla-type player). I don't think the game hinges on keeping Darthe alive. I do think it would of been beneficial to do so though

Well, what time do you think we have? We've got under 12 hours now which is a pretty short space of time to expect enough people to log on and change their minds with cloudfare and infinite offline loops (this site really needs to get it's shit together). I'm not entirely sure what you're afraid of here though since all you've said is that it's a bad idea. Be more specific with what you're trying to say. "It's a trap" isn't going to cut it.

 

As for the character claim of the King of the Undead, it doesn't really fit that role imho. They fight because they're recruited in the end, not because of any hidden allegiance that they have. If there was an undead king then he would much more likely be a third party role and could be converted town over a miller. The most obvious miller I can think of is Gollum but even then he'd also fit the SK role perfectly. Anyway, too much role and theme speculation is annoying and is often much more hurtful than helpful. 

 

Basel is the only other lynch candidate I'd bother pursuing since he does strike me as scummy. The rest are pretty meh.

He could also be Boromir...he comes across as wanting the ring and on the wrong side at times, but he has a good heart, just misplaced. Gollem I would see as a third party role, he is out for himself full stop. The Kind of the undead is a valid miller role, however They had to take part in something before they were allowed to die in peace. 

 

@Despo - As far as I'm concerned I did comment on that bit, if you have direct questions then ask them. Other wise I can't answer fully :p

Ok, speculation of role doesn't really matter. I'm not entirely sure why but he really is far too eager to be lynched in my opinion, and I doubt his towniness because he hasn't been helpful and thus anything he wants is anti-town thus his lynch is bad. Maybe I am just being overly jumpy here but I really don't like this....

@Despo, here is your info. The first 4 to vote me did so for a long time before the scramble to a lynch. Since it would be counterproductive, it is likely that there are no mafia or only one among them (3 and myself) thus you now can have 3 pseudo confirmed town to work with. Past this there should be at least 2 mafia on me in the rest of the train and likely more. However we can also safely assume that at least 1 mafia will stay off the lynch completely.

AH you gave me a headache so I'll try to make this short.

 

@AH you think I'm not posting a lot? This is going to sound bias but I think I'm doing really well seeing as I'm trying to be more active here in general and I don't post a lot anywhere currently. I think I'm doing really well with all my posts being game related instead of just saying I'm rereading (I'm also writing everything down that happens so I don't have to)

 

My thoughts so far.

 

On  my previous posts about Cloud and Basel, I find them both scummy and possibly mafia. I find Cloud more scummy than Basel though.

 

When it comes to Talya, I see how being buddy-buddy with pretty much everyone can be scummy. Last time I saw it done, it was one of the mafia.

 

One thing that stood out to me is Tiinker saying that Talya's case doesn't make much sense. I get that each person sees things differently but I think there's something there. Maybe mafia or builder team? (Is that the right one? It's been a while)

 

As for what's going on with Darthe, we have less than 24 hours for a lynch. Personally I think we should give him what he wants. Some of you don't like how he's playing so why not lynch him now? To those who are saying to wait till D2 or D4, why wait on someone who's claimed and can be a risk to town? For clairification I think that it's Dice, Cloud, Piano and Despo.

 

I feel bad doing this because I think this is going to be a great game and that we're just cutting you out of it. I came back for this game and I haven't been around in a while.
