If I was the mod, I wouldn't count night actions as activity, but that's just me. I'll join the bandwagon, if needed, to avoid a random kill, but I'm also not ready to vote just yet. I'm still looking at Pale and Meesh the most, but don't have more than my gut as evidence ..... yet.  ;)

Oh, and I'm Wolfie's mom, as most of you know. She's been pretty sick, and not feeling up to much computer time. I'll poke her to check in here. The little booger gave her cold/flu/whatever-this-is to me, now, too. Since we're both asthmatic, we try to take it easy with anything respiratory. I'll also say that her activity in games is sporadic, normally. None of which takes her off my suspect list, mind you, but it does lower her a bit on it.

Edit since Pale posted ahead of me.... I use the Notify button for mafia games, and it doesn't always notify me, so I kind of buy that much of Chrono's excuse.

I have to admit that I didn't realise he hadn't posted, I thought he had voted. It was only earlier when it was mentioned did I check and realise I had missed him. I PM'd him given him a chance to play, if he hadn't have responded I would have modkilled him too. But I was reluctant to because I had already done that to Jelly.

Just so you don't start seeing anymore into it than that, and waste too much time talking about why I didn't modkill him. :)

Vote count: DAY 2

Chrono (2) Al Jenn, Meesh

Day 2 ends Friday evening at 8pm GMT

Seems like a logical conclusion. I trust Lily and that is about it. Meesh is quite suspicious, but I don't know enough to really attack her.

I like the idea of voting for people who haven't said much and trying to drag more information out about them.

The two I'm thinking of are Wolfie and Chrono so...

Thats quite a bold statement there, is there any reason why you trust Lily?

The statement about trusting Lily piqued my interest too. Not because trusting Lily is out of the question :D It just seemed a little weird to say. Are you saying you're choosing to believe she really is the finder? Because that makes sense.

Well, Chronos really did get lynched in that SG game for being defensive. The new replies things sounds... reasonable, I suppose. I don't know, I agree we should keep an eye on him, but I'm just not convinced yet. Most of these reasons seem a bit thin to me.

Lily, I hope you and Wolfie feel better. I was wondering if she had some RL stuff going on; it didn't seem like her not to post at all.

Woofda.  Just got done reading through the previous 7 pages. ::)

Kind of interesting that the whole suspicion of Chrono seemed to start from a reason that ended up being invalid but led to other valid reasons.  I could see him either way at this point, and I think I will vote for him unless something else comes up.

Well there goes my mini theory  :D  With that gone, I definitely suspect Chrono less.  He was completely inactive in this thread and his explanation isn't that great but then again I keep thinking maybe he is town because idk how many scum would actually let themselves act that scummy.

the fact that he's avoided discussing anything game-related makes me highly highly highly suspicious of him.

Who says I'm avoiding anything? It would incriminate me if I started making accusations without knowledge of previous posts. I have not yet read the entire thread and therefore cannot judge people yet. Plus I have an exam on friday so it's pretty hard to read 30 pages while trying to study.

My friend, "thoughts" and "accusations" don't have to be the same thing.  As I've said many times, anything is better than nothing.  Notice that very few real accusations have been thrown out there, and yet quite a few of us have contributed a lot to game-related discussion.

I believed you were avoiding discussing the game because you said you hadn't read the whole thread, implied you were going to do so, stayed logged in for another hour, but didn't post.  That hour of being online, you must've been doing SOMEthing.  Why not read the thread?  But now you say you still haven't read it.

If you have an exam on Friday, and you're going to be studying until then, you're going to miss the deadline and be utterly useless to us.

I just don't get why you didn't bother to manually navigate to the thread when you were online.  You must have known that people would be posting in it, and that you'd be missing something.

Assuming you're being completely truthful and that you are also being honest and you're not scum and all that, in the future be sure to keep up with the game thread.  Even if you can't do rereads, or don't have time to post, at least keep up.  You're basically deadweight if you're not following along.

I agree, Meesh, but then I also don't ;D I don't know, I've been on both sides before. There have been times when I was really into the game and I was mad at the people who wouldn't participate, because like you said, they can be kind of crippling. At the same time, I've been really busy in RL before and gotten mad at people that accused me of being mafia just because I wasn't that into it. When you have a lot of stuff going on in RL, mafia can seem really insignificant.

I also try not to keep too much track of people's online status, because you don't know what they're doing. I accused someone of something similar recently, and they'd just left their broswer on without realizing it. And this is actually why I started hiding my online status when I started playing mafia, because I got tired of people saying 'You were online and you didn't post, you must be mafia.'

Just my two cents.

Makes sense. :)

I usually don't bring up people's online status either, but I know for a fact that after 15 minutes of inactivity (which means not navigating through different pages on DM), even if your browser's left open to a posting window, your status will show as "offline" and you will have last been active as of that 15 minutes ago.

So he had to have been doing SOMETHING on DM for at least an hour, that's all I was saying.  And I thought at the time that he must have been reading the thread, since I didn't know he has an exam to study for and since he'd implied he was going to read the thread (at least I took it as implied from what he said).

That's all I meant by referring to his online status earlier in the day.  I still think that not having read at least most of the pages of the thread is still slightly ridiculous; why sign up for a mafia game if you're not going to have time to follow along at all, right from the beginning?

Posted

Well, that last point does make sense. When I've gotten busy in a game before, it was later on, when I didn't realize I would be busy. Although, wasn't there quite a bit of time between the signups and the start of the game? Or not? All I remember is, when I got the PM from Talya giving me my role, I was totally lost for a moment, because I didn't remember signing up for this game at all. Which made me think the signups had bit some time ago.

All of this is probably beside the point, though :D

So how many mafia are there?

Oh, and Chrono, your avatar makes me suspicious of you. :D

Just kidding. ;)

But it kinda does though, just not really.

Well she has declared herself the finder. There hasn't been a counter claim. Even if there was some other finder who wanted to stay below the radar they should have rallied us either against lily or have given us some notification about their night activity. As it is from last night we gained little to no new information. Also I don't believe the finder can be mafia so all in all I believe lily is the finder townie. That being said it is my first game, she has played more than I have and so with knowing she is good it seems pretty reasonable to trust her.

It seems that the way to figure things out now without the finders ability is just to accuse people so they defend themselves and so they post things and hopefully either make an illogical argument or are good to go. Seems like the mafia is the ones who win by thread related inactivity. So relevant posts seem the way to go.

Right now I'm suspicious of

1. Chrono - Just trying to get information and flush him out some more.

2. Meesh - Seems to clever to me. Also she seemed to over play the 'so you would have found me innocent' card.

3. Pale - Hasn't really done much one way or another, so again more info needed.

Other people I would like to know about and will go on rants next will be alanna, wolfie, and Locke.

I'm going with [glow=red,2,300]Locke[/glow] for now but I won't hesitate to hammer someone if need be.  If you're curious about why Locke, it's because it seems suspicious to me that a spammer like him would lurk right up until the discussion with Chrono.

Don't edit your posts, unless you want Tal coming down on you like a ton of bricks. :P

I don't really have any suspicions at the moment. I agree though, Chrono and Pale are being deadweights. If they knew they didn't have time for mafia, why sign up? Or better yet ask to be replaced if they haven't got time?

The day seemed to be going on slowly a few accusations were going round. Meercat was sitting pretty quietly making the survival equiptment for the Ken doll, when suddenly and end of some rope swung towards him. He glanced up just in time to duck as a hook on the end of the rope just whizzed over his head. It was caught by someone else, as Meercat sat there stunned, knowing how lucky he was to be alive!

Meercatman - Nearly Killed by the MOD for the editing of posts!!!

Chrono (2) Al Jenn, Meesh

Locke (1) Wombat

Meesh (2) Meercat, Reyoru

With 12 left it takes 7 to lynch.

Day 2 ends 8pm GMT Friday 18th
