30 hours-ish. I'm trying to be strong and avoid the YouTube videos that are tagged as episode 6 spoilers.

One of my coworkers approached me on Thursday and told me she'd watched it. All she said was that she cried.

One of my coworkers caved on Thursday night and all she said was it was great and one of her theories was right. I was afraid to ask what theory

Ok I'll tell you...

Bran actually IS a Jedi. This is a crossover story decades in the making. He makes his lightsaber next episode.

ACTUAL THOUGHTS THAT WENT THROUGH MY HEAD WHILE WATCHING S7 E6:

I'm nervous.  Hold me.

Previously on.... Sansa's "support the Lannisters" letter, Dany needs help not being like her father, and Jon has Jorah's sword.  OK.  Here we go.

That was a very odd view of the map table.

*humming* Trudging through the snow...

Tormund is one to talk about Gendry being not so smart, he's the only one of the Magnificent Seven wearing a hood in the sub-zero north

Hmmm, Tormund giving Jon food for thought about bending the knee.

Sandor with a bit of a shot of reality for Gendry, heh...

Jon and Jorah having the chitchat about Lord Commander Mormont.  Jorah's all "I hate that he died that way, he would have died for those men and they butchered him."  Yeah, sounds familiar, they did the same crap to Jon.

Oh, there we go.  The sword talk.

Of course he's not taking it back.

Arya and Sansa reminiscing...  and of course the letter.

Hey Arya.  Chill out and listen to her explanation, will you?

*sigh* Well this isn't getting anywhere good.

Speaking of not getting anywhere good... more snow trekkin'...

Sandor's got something against gingers?  *ponders*

LOL, Sandor and Tormund talking about Brienne.  This is hilarious.

Jon not looking much like Ned is completely off-book.  Yeah, Kit Harington doesn't look like Sean Bean, but in the book Catelyn hates the fact that Jon looks more like Ned than any of her kids.  Except maybe Arya.

... This conversation is far too deep. Something violent is about to happen.

Ooh, to Tyrion and Dany!

"Heroes do stupid things and they die." - Dany

Tyrion tossing that "Jon likes you" thing out there like NBD...

Of course Cersei's gonna set a trap.  OF COURSE.

Oh Tyrion.  You're ABOUT to see Dany lose her temper if you keep it up.

Whee.  Blizzard.

This is probably not a good sign.

Undead bear attack?  Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh

Wildling Redshirt #1 down...

Oh this ain't good

OK I can't even tell who the bear got that's screaming like a little girl.  Tell me this isn't Gendry.

TWO FLAMING SWORDS!

UNDEAD BEAR ON FIRE... SANDOR IS NOT HAPPY

Hero move by Jorah with a ... little bitty knife?

Ok, ok, Gendry's still standing, this is good.

Umm. Thoros?  He's... um... gonna get him drunk and... cauterize the bear mauling wounds with his flaming sword?

Who's dead?  Wildling redshirt #2?

Littlefinger lying out his... well ya know.

DON'T TRUST HIM SANSA.

Oh man, he's sounding SO reasonable.  WHY MUST YOU BE SO SLIMY BAELISH?

More snow trekkin...

Thoros looks good for someone who's been mauled by a flaming undead bear.

The dead go marching single file?

One white walker and a little team of zombies...

And Jon kills the leader to destroy ALL BUT ONE?  This makes no sense.

I smell a trap. This has to be a trap.

The rest of them are coming.........

Oh, Gendry gets sent back to Eastwatch to send word to Dany... and leaves his hammer with the group.  Haha, trailer misdirection, seeing Sandor wielding Gendry's hammer created a big "OH NO GENDRY DIES" speculation.

This lake does not look like a good place to be.

RUN FORREST RUN!

Who fell behind?  Sandor with his limp?

Ohboyicecracking eeeep

Oh, Sandor's on the rock.  And now there's a moat full of iced zombies!

Improbably, they're all still alive.

RUN GENDRY RUN!

That is a long freakin' run.

This is not going to be a fun place to spend the night.

Gendry, dear.  You cannot nap here.

Oh thank goodness.  He's at Eastwatch.

How did they manage to live through the night without dying of exposure with no fire?

Oh.  Thoros.

Um.  Y'all might want to set him on fire now.

Oh, Jon's on point.

Oooh, the Night King is watching.

Beric wants to take him out?  Or send Jon to take him out?

Sansa gets invited to King's Landing for a "gathering"?  Now THAT is a trap.

She's gonna send Brienne as her representative?  Interesting.  Jaimienne ship is ALIIIIIIVE.

She's sending Brienne away right after Littlefinger was trying to suggest Brienne might be able to intervene if Arya was going to harm her

What's on Sansa's mind?  I NEED TO KNOW!

OH LOOK, there are the other dragons!

Dany's wearing a warm dress in what looks like Stark colors.  Guess she's really gotten used to the King in the North, eh?

GO SAVE HIM DANY.  GO FLY!

YAY OTHER DRAGONS TOO

Sandor's still standing... this is good?

Tossing a snowball at the wights?  *snerk*

Uh oh.  Lake is frozen.  This looks bad.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

Holy geez this is tense.  Someone's gonna die aren't they?  Wight's gonna get free and attack them from the back?  THIS IS MAKING ME NERVOUS.

They're trying to rescue their captive brother wight?

Oh CRAP TORMUND IS GETTING HIS BUTT KICKED HEEEEELP

Clegane to the rescue!

GET OFF JON OMG

Aaaaaaand Redshirt Wildling #3 falls into the zombie mob.

Oh that is bad.

Jon's thinking of doing something stupid isn't he?

OMG DRAGON

OMG

OMG

OMG

I'm shaking

Fried zombies!!!

Uh oh.

Night king is gonna do something tricksy

Apparently as hot and magical as it is, dragonfire does not faze him in the slightest

Jon.

Oh crap speared dragon

DRAGON DOWN.  I REPEAT.  DRAGON DOWN.

Dany's all OHSHI

Jon's all I'MMA MAKE YOU PAY, SUCKER

Uh oh.  he's sinking

HA!  DROGON CAN ZIGZAG

Um, JORAH HOLD ON FOR PITY'S SAKE

Um where's Jon?

Where's Jon?

Whew.  He's alive

Um.  Don't nap there dude.

Now you're wet and cold.  This is bad.

Oh, and running horder of zombies

OH CRAP IT'S BENJEN!!!!!!!

Jon's got a horse.... ride like the wind baby!

Benjen Stark's last stand.  *respect*

Drogon out looking for Jon?

One blast means rangers returning!  JON'S COMING BACK

They're on a boat!

Wow, his clothes are frozen stiff!

And Dany's about to see him shirtless.  "Hmmm.... stab wound over the heart.... HMMMMMMM."

Sansa.  Are you sneaking around in Arya's room?

Oooh.  She keeps faces in her satchel.

What that means, Sansa, is that your baby sister is a trained assassin.

Yes.  Play the game of faces.  Tell her the truth.

Oh crap put that knife down Arya.

Or hand it to Sansa.  You could do that.

Sansa is so utterly unnerved by this.

Dang it.  They should just talk to each other.

Jon's awake!

Dany's RIGHT THERE STARING AT HIM.

The Night King killed one of my babies.  Now it's personal.  Rawr.

Awww, he called her Dany.  HE CALLED HER DANY.

She apparently doesn't like that nickname.

Awww, he'd bend the knee but he's stuck in bed.

She's wondering whether he's naked under those furs, isn't she?

Wight chain gang!

Oh crap.  They're pulling up the dragon.

Oh crap.

OH CRAP BLUE EYED DRAGON

GAHHHHHHHHHH

Next week: Grey Worm!  Approaching King's Landing!  Sansa!  Cersei!  Jon!  Tyrion!  War!

ZOMBIE DRAGON. YIKES.

Seriously, zombies or dragons on their own are extremely scary things. An undead dragon (something I've never even imagined before, not just in GoT but ever) should send half the population of Westeros into a horrified panic.

It seems my leaked episode ended early and I didn't realize it. I've now watched the full ending.

Apparently a certain someone lived even though by all rights he shouldn't have. First of all there were zombies pulling him down into the water. Secondly he was screaming so he had only seconds of oxygen left. Third that water was literally freezing, again he should be dead in seconds. Fourth his clothes AND armor should have been so heavy and he should have been so numb he shouldn't have even been able to swim up to the surface let alone get out of the water and that's not even counting the zombies. FIFTH Benjen should not have been there. I mean, why? Deus Ex Machina I guess. If they were going to have Jon survive all this I'm not sure why they even did it in the first place because the odds of him surviving all that in the way he did was so improbable it completely takes me out of the story. Oh well I guess it looked cool.

Yay! I can finally talk about this episode. This episode was a little up and down for me. There were some annoying things but the rest were sooooooo good. I was so worried when I started to watch because I was sure several of my favourites were going to die. (Luckily I was wrong.)

Winterfell: Can´t they just sit down and have a talk? Could Arya please just listen to Sansa and trie to understand her? Meh. I will forgive this if they kill Littlefinger next week. Kill him!

I don´t really get why Sansa is sending away Brienne but it´s good 1) if Sansa kill Littlefinger herself and 2) because then she will meet Jaime again.

I wish there were more Bran.

Dragonstone: It´s not easy to be Hand of the Queen. Tyrion makes a lot of sense. Like, who is actually going to inherit the  thrones when Dany dies? Her kids? I don´t think Westeros is ready for a real dragon on the Iron Throne and I doubt that Drogon or Rhaegal would be interested. Tyrion mentioned some versions of democracy and I hope that real democracy will follow. He would be a good ruler himself, but maybe he just want to chill when everything is done? (I just assume that he will live.)

Beyond the Wall: I love all those small conversations! Of course Jorah refused to take the sword but Jon had to ask. I was almost waiting for Jorah to take Jaime´s line from last season: "It´s yours. It will always be yours." I wonder about the mention of Jon´s future kids. Can he have kids in the show? GRRM has said that he is like a fire wight and wights can´t have children.

Tormund and Sandor was so funny! Will we see any big great monster babies? I doubt it but Tormund is so cute when he talks about Brienne.

Jon needed to talk to Beric to understand why he was brought back. He is the shield that guards the realm.

That undead bear was really cool. I wonder how many undead animals that are running around. Thoros got hurt but the rest survived. Thanks the old gods and the new.

Jon is now a pro when it comes to killing White Walkers. They discovered that a lot of weights were bound to him and died when he died. I imidiately got to think about Myrdraals and Trollocs. This is a big clue to how to defeat the enemy, as Jorah points out later. Kill the WW and the weights will die as well. Interesting.

Then they were on that island and waited and waited. Thoros died. It´s okay, we don´t need more people getting resurected. I didn´t like the thought of Dany coming to their rescue but when she came I was so relieved. Burn them, burn them all! When I saw that all dragons were coming with Dany I understood that this was the time when one would die. I´m not happy that I was right. Everyone else survived, yay!

I knew from spoilers that Benjen would appear so I was just wondering when he would show up. It was at the right time of course. :) There is so much that I wish we had learned about him and his life. Where did he live? What has he done? I´m happy that he got to save two of his nephews before he died.

And then we got that lovely scene with Jon and Dany. And now I´m a shipper too.  Or? She is your aunt! But... they just are so good together.

Final scene: OMG! Dragon wight. OMG!

Question: How many White Walkers and wights are there? Were this all of them? There must be more, right?

Positive: The dragons are so well made. They are amazing. The acting over all this season. Tyrion is great, Dany is great, Jon is great, Sansa is great...

Negative: Some things just get in the way of the "perfect episode". I guess I´m spoiled by this great series and have much higher expectaitions for it than other series. Problems I had with this episode were: Jon sending Gendry to Eastwatch because he is the fastest? How did he know that? Was it a way to get him away from there and protect him? I don´t know. Tormund was slowly dragged down through the ice (and was of course rescued) but the redshirt wilding was just swarmed with wights. I´m happy Tormund is alive but that bugs me. And where did they found those gigantic chains?

There are some small things that I wish they had just done a little bit different but mostly I´m happy about this episode. I was very emotional when it ended. And now there is only one more episode left. *cries*

About the trailer for next week:

Who is going to be there? I see Theon, Varys, Tyrion, Jon, Pod, Jorah, Davos, Brienne (and Misandei?). We know that Sandor will be there. Cersei is there as well as Jaime. Bronn is with Jaime in an earlier clip. I assume Qyburn and UnGregor will be there. What about Euron? (And what will he say about the baby?) Yara? It looks like there are a lot of Ironborn ships. I had hoped that Theon would have more screan time this season. I fear that they will end his and Yara´s storyline quickly by showing her dead body.

What is Cersei´s trap?

The unsullied and dothraki are there but where is Dany and her dragons? It´s of course wise if she stays away but everyone else seems to be there.

I saw a great comment chain on reddit and thought I would share.

"Not Dany. How about my Queen?"

Guess that's how smooth you have to be to seduce your Aunt.

I thought he was proposing at first.

Doesn't matter, he'll be getting that dragonass soon

Dany: I thought you said you were here for dragonglass

Jon: S-Sorry, that's what I meant to say...

Ice Dragon? I wanted to cry!

Next week is the season finale? I thought there were 10 episodes. *cry*

I am not a Jon/Dany shipper.

Run Gendry!

Still no Sam. :(

Wow...Ben showed up at the right moment, again! Makes me wonder if he has the *seer* in him too?

Still...Ice Dragon....OMG.

A bit too many plot holes this week IMO.

The chains?? Where did they come from? I may be wrong but ships of the type shown would not have chains like that. Also, any idea how heavy iron chains that size would actually weigh?

The 3 "redshirts" happen to all get killed but the magnificent 7 nearly all live in a 10 on 2000? Battle.

Gendry runs in that weather how far?

That's enough of that I guess.

I don't like Sansa right now. The whole thing feels like she is looking to take over. Might be seen as perfect if Jon becomes either king himself or first prince (or however that would work), or dead in the great battle.

The dead dragon must have been Richon's. LOL. That throw to kill it was a bit OP tho.

Is anyone else worried they are taking a boat? Dany's forces haven't fared too well on the sea this year.

Tormund and Sandor have great chemistry together, and Tormund mooning over Brienne is awesome, hilarious, and touching, all at once. Haha Sandor's like, "Wait, you mean Brienne of ****ing Tarth?"

I howled. I love those two.

Yeah, I thought the same thing, that they're linked to the walkers like trollocs, except these are probably the walkers that turned them. I suppose there's a competition and status among the walkers concerning such things, but the show doesn't tell their story; it just paints them broadly as bad guys and leaves no room for motivations or subtle, mitigating nuances. It's anti-dead bigotry, is what it is, I say.

Haha Welcome to the dark side!

The dragon wight is so not cool. That's horrible! I wonder if it will have ice as a breath weapon now? Can it fly over the wall? Now Dany will have to kill it and see it die again.

Yeah, there's gotta be more than just that handful of them, or at least, you would think so.

Yeah, the dragons are wonderful actors. I loved how Drogon emoted grief with his cry when Viserion died. Not sure how many takes that required, but he nailed it in the end. Haha Seriously though, yeah, the dragons are really cool, and the acting is top-notch. It has been a very well-done show from the beginning, and they have held to that standard throughout. I'll give them that. I also like that there's less softcore pornography now. I'm all for some fine female forms, but the gratuitous sex at times as a bit much. Now that all the plotlines are firing off, there is not much time for that. Heck, there isn't even any time for ravens to fly to Dragonstone and dragons to fly north from it.

That was a very emotional episode. I am really invested in Dany at this point, so it was heartbreaking to see one of her dragons die, and the scene with her and Jon was awesome. Nolder's Reddit quotes were hilarious, btw.

I read on another site that there were a ship nearby where the wights got the chains. Okay. I didn´t see it. Have to look for it the next time I watch the episode.

I think the theory is that there would be ships at Hardhome they could have taken them from.

One of the YouTubers I follow thinks the Night King was a greenseer before he was turned and knew they would be able to get a dragon, so the whole setup was a trap and he came prepared.

Otherwise, there's really no indication that the final scene came immediately after Dany and Jon escaped, so there's no reason not to think they went back to get the chains between that and the final scene. The passage of time is malleable.

You are right about the time. I think I would have liked it better if he landed on land. Like when Jaime survived, I would have loved if they showed that it was a big cascading river instead. But it´s details.

Also fitting that the dragon named for her jerk brother was the one that died.

*nods* I expected him to die first. If Jon get a dragon it should be Rhaegal. But I rather see him with Ghost. :(

Ghost was name dropped in the last episode, Sansa said something about (?) the Lords of the North (?) not sitting around and waiting on him to get back like Ghost.  So apparently he's been kicking around Winterfell.

From interviews I've come across, they said they did film a scene with Ghost for this season but it was cut.

I'm afraid to look at the next episode. Not enough people have died this season, what will Cersei do? I guess all of the main characters have heavy plot armour so they can be in the last season, but what about the rest?

Who will die?

My guesses are:

1. Littlefinger - please, please, please.

2. Yara. :(

3. It depends on how much they want to save for next season. Not likely, but could Theon kill Euron?

4. Possibly in danger in KL: Varys, Misandei, Brienne, Podrick, Bronn.

5. Wish: Zombie Mountain

6. If the Wall comes down: Ed, Tormund, Beric
