I voted shield as well.  I feel like sword would net us more killing roles [like vig and sk] and staff would net us more ethereal roles [like sanity issues, watchers, and hiders].  But these are just guesses.  I'm a noob and have no idea wtf I'm talking about.

Also, vote for the staff/mystic. Guardian type roles will make the game last longer and possibly get bogged down. Vig type roles will end things too quickly one way or the other. Investigative roles will make it more interesting, and allow for waaaay more interesting fake claims. Dreamer, Sensor, Psychic, Oracle.... I can already enjoy the chaos
