Even just having a hydra would be a big advantage imo depending on the relative skills of the players. Some people are weak at a certain alignment or style of play. Having a hydra with someone who covers your weaknesses would be amazing.

This is the part we are discussing.  While it sounds like you might be right in theory, I haven't seen it play out that way in practice.  If anything, I've seen hydras get burned because someone says something stupid without checking with their other head first and end up getting mislynched or exposed as scum.  Again, I'd need to go back at check my math versus my memory but that involves like... work... and stuff...

Actually, you make a strong argument for having hydras in beginner games.  Can you imagine how much better a noob would become [and how much faster that process would be] if they were partnered up with a seasoned vet as a hydra?  Obviously, this would require both to be super active and for the noob to run EVERYTHING by the vet but still...  This gives me an idea for an ALL hydra game in a beginner forum.

We've allowed what you've described before when we had mentors. Instead of a Hydra account, a new player had an official veteran sitting with them in a QT to help them out and everyone knew who that mentor was. We even had a whole game like that. It was neat.
