Kronos what did you think about RTE's list of thoughts? Most specifically about AH being the most useful to date.

 

Heart's post are questioning and providing good insight into the game.  I think she has provided a good positive aspect to the game.   She hasn't posted much, but her posts are analytical and to the point.  I don't really understand her vote on Basel though.

 

As far as the rest - again I'm not sure about the train on Cloud.  Tayla seems to be trying to make friends.  Dice I've explained enough on.  As for the rest of his list, I see people playing like they usually do.  Only one I wouldn't know well is EP - This is only the second game I've played with him in.

 

 

How can you defend Basel, while at the same time mentioning that you aren't sure on the train on me? You are trying your best to not commit to anything and that is pinging.

Wasn't really feeling the Cloud stuff but his latest comments about EP are starting to sway me. 

 

EP has become the lynch pin for opportunistic play.  Cloud using him is suspicious.

 

How am I using EP by mentioning to Lessa that he tends to joke around in games? Also, can you please clarify what pings from my comments about EP? I also noticed that you ignored Basel when he mentioned "grasping at straws" in his post above you. I remember you saying in the Hunger Games Mafia game that you tend to get pings from players who mention "flailing" or "grasping at straws", etc because you find it an easy way for mafia to provide an explanation without any real reason attached to them. So why have you decided to ignored Basel's comment?

I agree with Kronos that Dice looks scummy and I don´t understand why everyone agrees with Player that it was a scummy vote. A lot of people has called out Dice for his scummy play but when Kronos votes him people gets suspicious of him instead. Fos all of you. Especially RTE who is fencesitting and just following others.

Because of the same reason as has been stated before - trying to make Cloud look scummy without saying it and linking Darthe-Basel.

 

AH confuses me. I thought I understood her vote for Basel (that´s one of the reasons I agreed with her) but appearantly she had some other reason for voting Basel. I don´t understand what that reason was. And now she keeps the vote because it will be an informative lynch and connects him with Cloud, me, Turin and Talya. Talk about linking people. 

 

I did not understand Lessa´s post. And I mean that literally.

 

Heart wasn't the one linking people, it was Basel when he linked you and me together saying that we are mafia buddies. 

 

I didn't ignore your explanation, it's part of what made you suspicious to me in the first place.

I'm leaning toward voting because of the following:

-Cloud's comment to Panchi about taking risks even if it means getting lynched. I get the speak your mind part of his comment. Personally, I wouldn't tell someone to mafia that they'll get lynched for speaking their mind, I certainly wasn't told that when I first played. To me, it sounds like he's telling her to prepare for her own lynch. He later says to her that he won't be ignoring her and will be continuing to get her to post. This could be seen as a player trying to get someone new to post more often or it could be seen as a teammate trying to get another teammate out of the dark so it doesn't seem like they're lurking or it could be seen as a mafia player trying to get someone new out in the open so they can be lynched.

-After AH's comment of the possiblty of Darthe being a bomb (which I don't know about), Cloud comes out and says not to lynch him. To me this looks like a way to avoid Darthe being lynched so that mafia can use that possiblity later on.

 

A question, what's meta and WIFOM mean?

I'm very sure that Basel is mafia and you guys would make a great decision by also voting for him. Even if you aren't sure that he's scum, his lynch would by far provide the most info to the game. I also have a good town read on Heart and I agree with almost everything she has said so far.

 

I don't recall actually accusing you of being mafia, infact I do believe my vote is on Talya. Furthermore I had seen your song and dance show about the joke vote enough that I didn't care to hear more on it. Ok so first of all, I'm going to apologize to dap...my whatevs post was out of line. I was sick yesterday and was kinda in a pissy mood and wasnt really in a good state to argue (not using this to change your mind on my play., rather I'm delivering an apology that I think is necessary.)

 

As regards to my vote on dice. His linking made little sense to me and it still doesn't. I read his post and questioned and then took some time to mull it over and then placed a vote later. I can see why that looks scummy, but reallyi was just taking some time to think.

Clouds train seems opportunistic to me, now that he is moing away from defending for that we can focus onhis play

or.. what else would mafia do?  I know what two plays are viable here.  You either regretfully lynch me or..

you hold off, argue against lynching me saying this means im almost certain town.  then you never NK me.  Never attack me, just let me sit around aware that I'll never gain too much credibility because each day that I live works against me.  We get to lylo and whose the convenient lynch?  The one that claimed Miller, clearly.  I must have been lying.

 

 

You guys need to stop being stupid and lynch the damn miller.  Every day I live without your utmost confidence is foolishness, and you need to examine the second-fourth people who chimed in on me being very likely town etc.  That is the good scum move, especially from experienced players.

I think ignoring Darthe is ridiculous. One thing about EP, he's always super interesting to play with. Doesn't always work.

 

Either way I think ignoring Darthe for better or worse is super sketchy.

Ok 2 things on my phone Lessa's post quoted above is formatted oddly its not the basic DM format, however that could just be the Valium. Try looking at the original on both ur CPU and phone tell me if it looks off I'm not harping about backgrounds I was the one that shot that down months ago but on my phone the font is different why would anyone take extra time to change fonts?

 

Also the wbk post I'm not sure if I'm just reading it weird or not examine it and let me know if you interpret it as saying "newer MAFIA players" or newer mafia game players I feel inclined to believe it could be either way

Your comments were negative towards EP the same way everyone's comments are in every game.  The only problem with that is EP hasn't been playing that way in this game.  It's an easy play for scum to make.  If you are town it's unhelpful cause it means nothing to the game.

 

On the Basel statement.  I never said I had a problem with the phrase "grasping at straws."  I said I had a problem with trigger works like "flailing" cause what they've turned into here at DM.  Once person mentions "flail" and lazy town or opportunistic scum jump on the lynch sighting the "obvious flailing" go on.   So when I see someone bring up that word I sets off warning bells.

 

Basel didn't do that...hence no comment. 

 

And to add...I'm like completely mistified how you came up with something like that?

Well, right or wrong I was content to let your play determine your alignment but the WIFOM that this introduces is incredible.  My feeling is, you are correct and should be lynched today.  VOTE DARTHE.

 

For those unsure of the wifom this statement created:

 

Darthe mentioning this whole scenario basically gives him a prearranged reason as to why he would never be night killed if he is scum.  Also builds false town credibility by bringing it up and offering to by lynched.

 

If he is town then the scum team will never NK him, thus creating significant doubt around him the whole game.

The thing is, I agree that lynching a claimed miller, esp early in the game, is kinda the only safe option. The problem is, pushing a quick lynch on him today means (if he flips town) that there won't be a chance to truly apply any pressure to anyone else today, which takes away opportunities to judge reactions, collect info, and generally have a productive day 1.

 

I have made my thoughts known about lynching ANYONE quickly day 1 many times before, its just not that good of an idea. And Darthe wouldn't even be a good info lynch either, it would really just bog us down and delay our scumhunting.

 

IMO, Darthe should have either claimed day 2 if he was going to claim, or not acted so impatient to get himself lynched when some of us were still trying to apply pressure to others. Just because a decision is logical doesn't make it the best decision for that moment.
