Sorry for being quiet guys. Trying to get used to this game; it's already a lot more advanced than my first game, wich was much more relaxed.

 

I don't really have a good feeling about anyone right now, so I'm still on the fence.

I think she means it's more serious. If I'm not mistaken, her first mafia game was in the WT (I thought they didn't even ALLOW mafia there? ), and that game was crazy vanilla. As in, not many really knew what they were doing lol

Yes, this XD it was the HP Week-mafia, with tons of new players, so it was very soft and un-serious :P So I'm still adjusting to this very serious thing XD

How does it matter if you've mentioned somebody elses name in your post? Bandwagon doesn't mean buddying up does it? Lily's vote was placed with 0 additional reasoning outside what anyone else has already said. I don't know why you're trying to point out that I'm "trumping weird things" when I haven't done anything far out of the ordinary.

 

Just because you think Lily's reasoning for her vote was similar to someone else's doesn't mean she's bandwagoning. She could have come to the same conclusions I did separately on her own. Now if she had just come out and said "Despo's case on Ithi makes sense" and voted Ithi, THEN you could say she was bandwagoning. She made no mention of anyone else's case but her own.

 

That's the kind of thing you are trumping up. Plus the fact that you voted me to begin with - you said it was to get reactions. Well placing a weird jokeish vote on someone to "get reactions" is also trumping stuff up.

Think it's pretty poor but not one to warrant a lead of so many votes before the game really starts. Your vote seemed opportunistic and fairly lazy if I'm honest.

 

Her disregarding the SK seems like she hadn't thought about the setup before hand but her vote on Des was legit imo which is what makes me think that her "flail" was more of a nervous jump. Not saying she hasn't been playing scummy, but I can over look it for a shot at you right now.

 

What makes you think her vote on me was legit? Her reasoning was that I hadn't voted yet, after like 2 posts or something, and that I didn't realize the game had started when it did. How is that a legit case?

 

The fact that you think her vote was legit yet ALSO think her play has been scummy seems ultra suspicious Tink.

I did actually get killed by a Serial Killer in my first ever game ... that was a Basic one too. I'm not a Serial Killer though. Rand you make me laugh ... it was you who voted for me because I voted for you. I already thought you were mafia lol. Please try and keep your various arguments straight in your head. It is best to keep things simple, have you not realised by now that when you try and get all complicated with things you generally stuff it up completely. I don't think I really find Rand scummy right now. I've only played with Rand once, I think, so I'm not really familiar with how he confesses to being mafia. That said, the only odd thing I found from him was this -

 

I want you to explain why you are voting me so I can see if you are using legit reasons or if you are using scummy random things.

 

This reads "I want you to give an explanation so I can poke holes in it."

 

Wombat voting you without giving a reason is scummy in itself. Next time, wait for someone else to ask why he voted for you.

 

No, if it's a legit case, then I won't try to poke holes in his case. However, if the case is completely horrible, then of course I am going to point out how bad the case is.

 

You can have a legit case on someone who is not scum. For example, someone who was voting someone for jumping around on trains, not explaining his votes, and so on would have a legit case, but that person may not be scum. By legit case I mean that they have a point and are not stretching circumstances and trying to get someone lynched. Also, legit cases don't have to be that thorough with that much info, especially on day 1, that was just an example.

 

I think the weird thing, Rand, is that you said you wouldn't try to defend yourself if it was a strong case (I'm using the word strong here instead of legit, since it seems that's what you mean anyway). Which is weird, because I don't see why a townie would just sit back and say 'you're right' to any case on them that wasn't true, even if it was a strong one.

 

I haven't played with Ithi for a long time, so I'm not trying to bring meta into this on whether this aggressive play is like her or not. I'm not seeing the case on Lily, though. She didn't bandwagon; she saw Ithi's play of being very accusatory as scummy. That's a legit reason (now I'm going to laugh everytime I use the word 'legit').

I am still going to defend my self, it's just that when a really weak case is presented and it looks scummy, then I also question their case and why they would vote me for that. Btw, I did want to address something about my meta. People generally seem to recognize me as a pretty good mafia player, but in many ways this kinda works against me. For instance, Lily, you say that I am good at being believably townie as scum, but the reality is I really don't get rolled as mafia that often at all, and just about every time I am scum I get lynched, partially at least because I am such a polarizing player. I try to introduce as much wifom as possible when I go down in such situations, but my point is that I'm actually not as good at wriggling out of lynches as scum as you or my reputation might suggest.

 

Just had to get that out there. Believe it or not, I'm ACTUALLY requesting that yall downplay my mafia skills a tad in the future, I'm really not as good as yall make me out to be!

 

I would like to reveal my role. I am a Genie and hereby grant Despo's wish. He isn't really all that good at playing Mafia, but he is very good at posting lots of stuff that no-one really reads.

Perhaps it was because when I asked him if he was Mafia earlier on in the game he just laughed and again didn't deny it. I've voted for two people for legitimate reasons, from my reasoning at least. If you are Town and voting me then you would be better off looking elsewhere, if you are Mafia it's all good.

 

I'm basically getting voted for just for playing the game. Lurking seems to be the best way to survive these days, or following other people's arguments so that you don't stand out from the crowd too much.

 

Did anyone else see this? Basically, she is setting up the grounds for saying that anyone voting for her is scum, nice way to try and get people off your train with scummy reasoning.

I didn't really recognize any of the names, and I wasn't sure you were in that one or not (I didn't read the whole thing), but I figured with a name like Misheru Sedai and what you had said there was a good chance you were in that game

I don't care if you have a diff definition of the word bandwagon, I'm just telling you what I see it as. I didn't personally see Lily's vote as a bandwagon vote. It's kind of like how some people accuse someone of an OMGUS vote, even when there is good reasoning behind the vote.

 

The reason your vote on me was weird was that you aren't one known for pot-stirring. If you were Red or Mynd or someone else like that, then it wouldn't have been weird at all. But no matter how you slice it, placing a random vote to stir things up IS trumping stuff up. You're literally causing reactions that wouldn't have been there without your vote, so that was another example of you trumping stuff up. The other being your apparent desire to keep redirecting discussion to Lily.

Incidentally, that would be a 180. A 360 would be her going full circle to arrive at the same stance.

 

I'm def starting to lean more and more to a Tiinker vote, but I'm not quite ready to let up the pressure on Ithi. The fact that she has gone from ultra aggressive to meek and defensive still worries me.
