I like reading background information about stories. I read the Appenices for LotR also. Anything that gives an additional perspective to a series you already enjoy should be read. Apart from the Hobbit ... I tried it and just could not get into it at all.

 

I can probably tell you why. I figured it out the last time I tried to read it (even though it was a really easy read as a kid). The first 5-6 chapters or so jump around inside a 50 year timeline.

I've been thinking. And I think the Doctor will be either the book with the Cleansing of Saidin (sorry, I never remember wich books contain what) or aMoL (jesus rand). But aMoL can also be the cop because of Rand's darkfiend-sensing ability. Hum hum.
