honestly, its the reverse for me. Mafia has helped me to better nalyze what people tell me IRL and shfit out the lies and find a proper way to dig to get a good feel if i can trust a person.

 

bubba calls it waxing semantics, i call it being a better arguer and sniffer. he's also told me on many accounts (msot have been lies i've caught him on) "this isn't a mafia game, stop over analyzing it)

 

i've even caught him in a lie one time cause i noticed how fast he went on the defensive.

I think the female half of the species is defiantly better at Mafia. I mean they are well practised at being your friend on the surface but NKing you at the drop of a hat

And they can smell social undercurrents and lies

I've found that mafia translates well into RL. I have people calling my store all the time trying to scam me for free food, or even those that come right to me and make a fuss-- they're all liars. I hate customers. And coworkers too...

 

I've caught my parents in plenty of lies too. With the over-defensiveness, etc. Yess.
