Ithi - so you´re unvote is based on gaming the mod? As Tsuki said, what do you think about BFG´s claim then? Do you think both are vanilla?

My unvote is believing that it would be unlikely to claim vanilla town as a fake claim in a role madness game - I was still a bit iffy on him though.

 

I do have to confess that my view on him as Town strengthened when I saw how hard Mynd wanted him Lynched.

 

What is your view on Thane & BG@ Tsuki - same to you Tina.

 

If I were Gaming the Mod I's assume that one of Thane or BG was lying - but as I don't know for sure that there is only one VT in the game I will watch how they go.

 

I see how Tina put a negative spin on my reasoning though - do you want me to get into trouble? maybe you'd prefer me to be MKd?

 

 

 

 

I need to concentrate on scrabble now. It's very close.

 

 

Does no-one want to ask Mynd any questions? Do you know that he won't be about or sommat?

However, have caught up so far.
 
I believer the miller claim. This is a role madness game and a scum taking a risk  like that would be stupid. Cop, role cop, LD - anyone can easily vet it. Nope, unlikely.
 
Turin and Ithi are so clearly town here. Their questions are pointed and a genuine intention of catching scum. There are numerous posts against Thane, mynd which demonstrates this.
 
X vs Tsuki seemed forced. It was a very minor point that they were arguing and yet not voting each other. It tool Ithi's persistence to get Tsuki to vote. I smell a classic distancing here. The posts did not feel natural at all.
 
Len is looking townish. So, is Chae. It is more of a meta in their reads.
 
Mynd tries to make sense but gets stuck in the rut of reading a player based on his role. I think he is town though, at leats by the tone of posts.
 
Thane stutters at places and some of the posts seems blatantly scummy. However, I have obseved that he does it even when he is town. His push against me, despite knowing that I am not active on weekends, looks desperate. However, as I said, I have seen him doing this and gut feel says he is town. 
Also, both Thane and BFG have claimed VT. Strange in a role madness game but I wouldn't use that for scum reads. POst-wise BFG seems town.
 
 
Hally is still null for me. Not a lot of posts but tough to read her so soon. 
Dawn/NotBob is also null. 
Tina has said that she has been a bit busy and so far she looks townish. Though I am suspicious of her as she tends to be very careful when she is scum. Null for now.
 
I don't like this post by Des. Seems to be going against easy players - Thane and Chae and trying to link Csarmi along with them. Slightly subtle but he is giving his reads before his WoTs. Leaning scum for me.
 
Dice's post has been pointed out by others, Len and Tina, as to how it is scummy. I had the same impression when I read it first. Looks like Dice is trying to set up lynches here. Scummy.

As to the current situation, it is unfortunate that Mynd took the gladiator against Ithi. Both of them feel town and this was needless.

 

Between them, I would vote Mynd. Not only is he gladiator which has probably been expended, I would like a town Ithi to be present as she puts good effort in catching the scum. And, we need that.

So, let me get this straight.  Because I doubt that Irene Adler would likely be a vanilla town character and I most likely believe she would be a scum player, that makes me the best choice for a lynch today?  Is that correct?  That is the reason the three of you are pushing this, right?

I think I explained that I didn't like the way you said that Tsuki and Turin were better at findning mafia, and then voted along with my weak case.

 

You've used a lot of ambiguous language that gives you a get out

 

You've continuously pushed for a Thane lynch - without saying much at all

 

You were unable to explain in simple terms why you voted for Thane

 

And you misrepped his character - and basically said it must be mafia.

 

And then you never said his character must be mafia

 

And then you said it must be mafia or 3rd party

 

 

I believe you are Mafia because of all of that - but you can keep repeating that it's just because of a character claim thingy if you like.

How is asking someone for their thoughts and reads scummy?  If you give them "off the cuff" then they are less likely to be scripted and mafia is more likely to make a mistake. I gave him 5 minutes. he was obviously here. I posted that he failed to meet my request. To my knowledge he has not given a real list of reads this entire game. 

 

For the above:

Do you think Ithi is mafia? I think her actual play has been very pro town so I would say that ANYONE looking to go head to with her is basically commiting suicide.

 

How do you see Mynd's shifting characterization of the character Thane claimed as anything other than a misrep? The character performed NO dastardly deeds unless you think outsmarting Holmes is nefarious in itself.

 

I did NOT initiate this challenge. It is my belief that Mynd or perhaps someone on his team did so. That both you and Hallia immediately jumped in to assume it was me when you were BOTH lurking strikes me as odd in the extreme.

 

Its not you asking for reads that I found scummy, its your  comment of "Oh you want to thunderdome Ithi? Well might as well die cause theres no chance your going to win.". I dont like that comment or the tone behind it.

Cause its not a misrep. Your focusing to much on a character whos actions can be seen completely differently based on the personality and mindset of the person reading. Congrats, thats how literature works. Characters completely change from person to person. Besides she doesnt help Holmes the same way she doesnt hurt him, so by your logic she could just as easily be third party. The big problem here imo though is your focusing on the character, not Thanes play. Characters can be whatever alignment the mod wants, it makes no sense to clear someone who has acted as Thane has based solely off a character claim.

Ithi, we have 2-3 days left till deadline. You wanna know im gonna talk to her? Via thread when I get back from my lunch with my family an HOUR AND A HALF LATER. We have plenty of time for me to still talk to her and try and convince her that I think it would be worth it. This is a forum mafia game, actions/conversations dont need to be as concentrated as RL because I can post something and someone can come read it literally 12 hours later, respond and still be considered a part of the conversation. 

 

And im not misrepping you, your having what I consider a hissy fit with Mynd about how you think Irene Adler should be portrayed/looked at.

Len - Scum lean. As I said, it took him time to get active and take stances. He made 1 case but not a full list of reads. Also, I think his post 67 had a lot in common with what Despo said on his post 64. Then the what? when BFG claimed, looks a bit overdone.

 

Oh look a Chae. I already explained why it took me some time to get serious. I have had alot to do at work with a promotion I just received wensday and I run a weekly DnD game with some friends of mine every friday, so this limited the time I could commit to the game.

 

I unvoted Thane when he gave his full claim as Vanilla Town. There's always a vanilla town in a RM game.

 

I changed to Mynd because of how he continued to push the Thane lynch - even feeding in misinformation to do so.

 

The two things are separate.

What do you say to the BFG claim of VT then?

I don´t understand the Mk question. What in my post would make you believe that I wanted to get you mk´d? That´s not something I would ever do. 

 

I think Thane is mafia. You made a good case on him. That + his AtE and selfvote made me belive he is mafia. So my initial read on you was that you are town. Then I thought it strange that you abandoned it and instead went after Mynd that is suspicious of Thane. 

 

Just for the record, I don´t like the way Mynd tried to use the character claim as a proof of Thane not being a vanilla. I think Thane has done enough to be considered mafia anyway. 

 

My thoughts about Thane and BFG is to base my thoughts on gameplay, not the vanilla claim. I still think Thane is mafia. BFG looks town the way she tried to cc. 

 

 

 

 

Full case and motivation please Mynd? Why now, why Ithi, what are your reads?

I wasn't having a hissy fit with Mynd. I believed he was intentionally trying to lead the Jury with misinformation about a character.

 

I think Turin was more having a ponder about Mynd's vanishing act that you going to your Father's Day do. You didn't stay for very long. You should have stayed and had a chill and stuff.

I messed the quotes up.

 

I couldn't give a flying fox about misrepping cos everything comes out in the wash at the end.

 

You do seem quite concerned about it. You've said it a couple of times. You could just say what you meant instead of going all negative and aggro with the 'stop misrepping me stuff'

 

after all - did you not just say that two people could have completely different interpretations of what was written on a page, and that was perfectly ok?
