The other thing I don't like about that Serra post you quoted Tina is that it assumes that he would claim scum in another game to preserve himself in a diff one... but this would look worse imo since scum would be more interested in self preservation. Townies can still win even if they're mislynched, for scum its pretty pointless to giveyourself up day 1, hurts your team's chances of winning greatly.

Cloud said something interesting in the 1603 thread, that got me a little bit curious. 

 

 

I don't think that a scum team would bus their teammate this early. It would be a big sacrifice and I think they will just try to break it down instead.

 

 

That got me to thinking about the whole staggering the lynches argument presented by BG here:

 

Ok I'll put it this way. We stagger the lynch, heck doesn't matter which thread to me, so I arbitrarily chose this one.

 

 

What I think is interesting is that BG proposes to lynch him LAST in this thread.  Normally, you'd see people saying that Csarmi's scummiest in thread A, or thread B, or whatever thread they think and that he should be lynched first in that that thread.  But BG says he arbitrarily chose this one to let Csarmi live.  I'd like to know the definition of arbitrarily he used, because to me, this looks like he's trying to deflect attention from him in this thread by making it conditional on how he flips in other threads to determine whether he gets lynched here or not.  Because that's what staggering the lynch is.

 

I'd like to take the time to point out that BG also unvoted on thread 1 to stop the trilynch

At the time, it was arbitrary. Voted him in the first one, kept him on my watch list in the second, and willing to let him live longer in the 3rd.

On the subject of names, I have three different and distinct names. In fact in two games I am a woman and one game I am a man.

BG is still an anomaly as he is claiming not to have a name at all but I wouldn't put too much stock into what the names mean if anything.

Peace misreps Ishy pretty badly by impying Ishy wants Nolder to stop posting. Also, peace wanting to start lynching Csarmi in this thread strikes me as a bit off. I think we might have Peace-scum wanting to get Csarmi-town lynched here before we hit Csarmi scum in 1 and/or 2.

So you think Peace votes Cs here because they are mafia together in another thread. But they are probably not on a team here. Why would they play their other game in this thread? In the end everyone want 3 points. You can´t just prioritize one game then. 

 

Huh, that's not quite what I meant. I meant to imply that IF Csarmi is town here (which is looking less likely now), Peace would want to quickly secure the mislynch here first. If we started with another thread and hit Csarmi-scum, we might be inclined to lynch someone else in this thread (which might be Peace or one of his buddies).

Well, I was never very confident in it working to cause Csarmi to claim scum, but as I said elsewhere, "a guy's gotta try". I can see what you mean about me trying to gain towncred with it, but the line of reasoning for WHY someone should claim scum is actually sound, so I thought there's a chance it'd work. I didn't suggest scum should give themselves up freely, it's rather that if they'd be lynched anyway, they might as well save the other towns the mislynches. For example, the town in 2 would be better off if Csarmi had claimed where he's scum. Of course (again) that fails when people are scum in several games, but that should really only be a small proportion of people (unless of course Darthe has decided to let the scumteams overlap quite a bit...)
