Do you think Ishy is actually pretending to dislike the whole cross-metaing business? With bg I can see scummy intent, but Ish actually strikes me as fairly genuine (if equally disagreeable).

I think the biggest thing we need to do here is get organised. Being able to organise and effectively cross reference data between threads ((Such as he voted this person for doing this in this thread but didnt vote another person in another thread for doing the exact same thing.)) is going to be invaluable to us.

We cant treat these as 3 seperate games either, but 1 game in 3 threads. After all what if say 2 people on a scum team in thread 1 are using threads 2 and 3 for whatever. Plotting, setups, purposeful angering of players... We need to keep track of and use all this extra data were getting.

Vote Krak

That was the first vote by Tinker. Very random and not sure if it is a joke vote. Looks like he is starting a bandwagon right here.

And, more than that, no similar behaviour in the other two threads. Something is fishy.

At the time, it was arbitrary. Voted him in the first one, kept him on my watch list in the second, and willing to let him live longer in the 3rd.

That being said:

Full claim: Chandler Rose, I'm uninspired (in other words, I suck) - vanilla town

This claim doesn't sit right with me. You see, I'm vanilla town in this game and my full name is Redshirt #3. You have a full on name.

Unvote: Vote Csarmi

While I agree with your other comments, I don't think this is a correct logic. I have a full on name in this game. I don't think there is a set pattern to naming in this game, like others.

Nice vanilla softclaim. If there isn't a pattern to naming, why is Csarmi's name pretty much the same across all 3 games? Does this just mean I'm such a nobody in the future I don't even get a name?

Posted

My name is also the same across all three threads, just slightly modified to represent the difference in time periods, ie Wilem, William, Vilem, etc.

I find it odd that you are different in this regard BG. Makes me wonder why that might be.

Okay, just a few thoughts I had when going home.

1) You're going at this from the wrong direction. I promised that I was town in all three games. Prove me I'm scum in one, and you can lynch me for being an LLL in all three of them.

2) Lynching someone three times to test whether he's scum in at least one of them is as silly as trying a witch by keeping her underwater: if she doesn't survive, she wasn't a witch afterall.

2) The BPV I have in T2 is actually much more useful as it seems at first sight - and the longer the game goes, the more powerful it gets.

On the subject of names, I have three different and distinct names. In fact in two games I am a woman and one game I am a man.

BG is still an anomaly as he is claiming not to have a name at all but I wouldn't put too much stock into what the names mean if anything.

Okay, fair enough. Then my vote is baseless if this is true. Seems I'm just uncool like that and I have to be Redshirt #3.

Yay final catchup thread.

Vote Csarlami

I don't really need to restate my thoughts on the tri-lynch thing, do I? No? Good.

On to catching up

Cool story. Bandwagon - "When someone adopts a popular point of view for the primary purpose of recognition and/or acceptance by others."

As far as I can see, I'm the only vote on Krak. I'll give you the newbie slip this one time. Use it well.

wombat writes better scenes

*nods*

No offense Darthe. Your scenes have always been cool too. Been a while since I've seen Wombat written scenes.

I suggest it be dropped by tomorrow unless there's a good reason for it or we're going to all get way too twisted.

Translation: "I am also scum in one of these threads and don't want to forget which one!"

Thanks for making tomorrow's choice easy, brother!

Reaching. And FOS for setting up lynches.

I think the mistake you're all making is considering all three threads to be interconnected in some way. Other than theme, they're not. Since roles and alignments vary from thread to thread, you have to consider them three different and seperate games.

Other than theme, the fact that each has the same player pool, both are being run concurrently by the same mods, and that they have a collective scoring system.

Other than that, you're right. They're completely different games.

/sarcasm.

I think you're overanalyzing a game that is after all, only three hours old.

That said, I'm just pushing his lynch for the lulz.

So..you want Nolder to stop posting his thoughts?  Why?

Never said that, don't put words in my mouth. But when I see a logic fail in something he says, I'm certainly going to say something.

Let's be honest and call this what it is. A lynch for lulz.

Not what it is at all.

More of a meta-lynch. The first of it's kind perhaps, except for lynch Nolder wednesdays and the inactive policy lynches that everyone keeps suggesting but no one does.

I think the mistake you're all making is considering all three threads to be interconnected in some way. Other than theme, they're not.

I think the mistake YOU are making is NOT considering all three threads are interconnected via "Live Meta."

Think about it.  Three wagons to look at.  If BG is voting for Salami in 2 games but not the third, why is that?  What would it mean for BG if Salami flips scum in that ONE game?  He was down for the plan in the first two, why not the third?  See what I'm saying?

This is the last time I'm going to explain this.  Please bookmark for future reference.

I've seen this explanation. And summarily rejected it. If BG is voting Salami in two games and not the third, I just attribute it to Salami playing scummy in two and not the third. Simple.

As far as meta goes, I'm already well versed on everyone heres metas. Except for you newer people. I don't need to rely on differences between these three games alone to tell me anything. I'll take each one on a seperate case by case basis.

And what if Csarlami flipped scum in the third? You'd still just shrug and say "Meh, nothing of interest here."?

If town...next thread.

If scum..you think a bit cause it's less likely he is scum elsewhere.  Not impossible but a pause button would be appropriate. Especially if we are doing this because we think he is just creating a meta across all 3 threads to hide his scum persona.

Your logic here is false.  This is the logic casinos use to take down suckers in roulette.

Think about it.  In roulette the chances of any random spin of the wheel landing on black is 18 out of 38 [there's a 0 and a 00 on the wheel].  If the results come out like this:

Black - Black - Black - Black -Black -Black

What are the odds of the wheel landing on Black again?  It's GOT to land on Red eventually, right?  Wrong.  Odds are STILL 18 out of 38 on spins #7 through infinity.

THANK YOU. This post should be copied and stickied to the mafia board.

Ooops

Can we edit? To Yate's quote I just meant to link to the When someone adopts a popular point of view for the primary purpose of recognition and/or acceptance by others."

As far as I can see, I'm the only vote on Krak. I'll give you the newbie slip this one time. Use it well.

Okay I hate doing this, I honestly do, but I have to ask - what's with the funny format? Saw it in another post on another thread if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not saying I definitely think you c/p'ed from a QT, and I don't like the funny format scumhunting technique, but at the same time this format is standing out like a Bosh and I don't think I've ever seen it's type before. Plus the format starts midway through the post, and just now when I tried quoting it it quoted a completely separate post.... wait wtf? Okay now my mind is being blown. Did I quotegrab the wrong post?

Lemme see how it posts first.

That's really bizarre - that last part of my post was in reference to this post, which is the one I clicked on, not sure why it quoted Nolder instead:

Yay! Finally caught up. I bet the other games has a lot of new posts now. :(

Cloud's confusion about games reads genuine. He's probably not scum here. I disagree with his assessment that cross-thread stuff is spam though.

I disagree with the votes on Yates. His RVS is pretty standard.

I can agree with the theory that Nolder is scum in one of the three threads as well. I don't think it's this one though.

Bg wanting to let Csarmi live here is very dodge. I would say they're either scum here together, or bg is scum in at least 1 if not both of the others.

Lenlo is town for questioning Yates also repeating the same post across the 3 threads and encouraging crossreferencing the games.

Ishy is wrong about Nolder overanalysing stuff, but his carefree attitude also reads town.

Peace misreps Ishy pretty badly by impying Ishy wants Nolder to stop posting. Also, peace wanting to start lynching Csarmi in this thread strikes me as a bit off. I think we might have Peace-scum wanting to get Csarmi-town lynched here before we hit Csarmi scum in 1 and/or 2.

dap's post on bg is townie and valid. bg-scum is looking like a serious option, perhaps even without Csarmi-scum.

Razen also makes a good point on bg, about his use of "arbitrary",

So you think Peace votes Cs here because they are mafia together in another thread. But they are probably not on a team here. Why would they play their other game in this thread? In the end everyone want 3 points. You can´t just prioritize one game then.
