Cuz you were skeptical about my vote, so I explained it lol.  And whats plural?  The game should advance at its own pace, and its doing so right now.  The more we try to speed it up, the more that we usually grab onto a "scumtell" that's generally pretty small, the more likely town v town violence shows up, and we end up lynching a town.  Thats how most games start and they're still winnable, I would just prefer a calmer start, with gentle FoSes for small scum plays, wait for reactions/slight slips/impatience, and then get the game started on a better note.

 

 

You said "we are still in the joke vote stage". In other words, you dictated for the whole game what stage we were in.

Why so eager to get lynching?  You can have all the N0's you want, but the first moves on a chessboard are always about feeling the other players out.  While I disagree with Rand that there are no joke votes, Mish is trying to make it seem like Rand is hesitant about getting serious.....why the focus on just him though?  Is he the only one acting in this way?  Not at all.

In my walk, I know one thing.  You can always trust an Aes Sedai to tell the truth in word....but never trust their meaning.  I hardly believe women of the tower would feel any less intimidated handling us ruffians as she would her own pillow partner.   I have many first hand accounts of an Aes Sedai using her skill of tongue to get her way, and not in the way I would have preferred.   

 

Still comfortable with my vote on Mish, but as more players chime in, I may have to change my course.

I warned in signups I'd be shorter on time than usual. My family is here visiting, I only see them once a year. Not really a defense. I mislynched her two times when she was town because of her getting incredible emotional. Then when she got emo on a third game, I backed off only to learn later on that she was scum after all. So basically it's hard to beat the grass with her because she'll always react the same way. Maybe you manage to read her level of irritation better. I won't pretend like I can.

 

 

Nyn, go back and re-read her posts.  She's contradicting herself.  She chastises Rand for "joke voting" then assumes my vote is a joke vote.  She's obviously stretching.  If you re-read and still feel she deserves your defense, then I don't know what else to say.

 

 

Considering I had two posts at the point, and the "reason" you gave with your vote was "Congratulations again!!!", how am I supposed to assume it was anything but a joke vote? Do please explain to me how I was supposed to understand the seriousness of that vote.

 

I don't chastise Rand for joke voting per se. I chastise him for hiding behind an old excuse for a "joke vote", and for trying to prolong the unserious stage.

 

And why did I take your post that was mainly about Dar "personally"? Because you suddenly point out you feel comfortable with a vote on me, that for all intents and purposes looked like a joke vote, without explaining why.

 

And yes, I get antsy when people try to use against me that I'm not as active as usual, when I said so in the sign-ups. You know, long before alignements were given out. Trying to use something that was warned before gamestart against me = suspicious looking indeed.

@Mish - I wasn't using your inactivity against you or even implying that.  You confuse me on many levels here.  You claim that you read my "Congratulations" vote on you as a joke vote, then immediately read into my post about needing more from you as an FOS.  And I didn't SUDDENLY feel comfortable....I still felt comfortable, but I was eyeing other prospects.

@Dice - After her play in the game that should never be named where some people made incredibly poor decisions, I actually think Dawn has grown as a player and this is the real her.  I think she has a pretty good read on Dar right now and I find nothing wrong with her opening post here.

 

I would like to hear from Dice, Dawn, and Rand on Mish's posts so far on D1.  Do they read scummy to you like they do to me?
