Here!

I just finished my first experience with the WoT! I was actually given the fist book a couple of years ago by a friend who insisted that I read it. Well...It took me two years (and a lot of nagging by my friend) to finally start it. I knew once I started I would have to read them all. I began this journey 6 months ago and completed the 13th book a couple weeks ago! I can't wait for the last book to come out!

i just saw this book in local book shop and thought it look interesting, then I realised there was a part two. What I didn't realise was that it was just actually the first book that had been split into two, then I found out there were loads more, lol

Hiyaa! I bought the first book split into two parts first. After finally finishing them I read them again and again. Loved it, but just couldn't understand how it ended so abruptly! Really? Baalzamon dead just like that? Oh well.. then I passed them by in a book shop and realized there was another 10 more waiting for me to buy in exchange for the next 6 months of my life.

I love reading conversion to WoT stories. :)

Mine is pretty bland. My sister pestered me I should read them. I delayed but eventually started in July after 7th grade and had them done before school started up again. Now that same sister gets annoyed when I talk about it since she thinks I'm overly-obsessed with it lol.

I was in about yr 8 or 9 ('91/'92) in highschool and having already devoured the fantasy section in the juniors library i got my mum to sign a note saying i was allowed to read the seniors section. WoT was there, i read the first six books in record time and have been addicted ever since.

A girl i used to know that i shared the name Cawstrife with showed me the books after she became obsessed with them, I humored her, and it turned out to be my favourite decision ever.

@ Wombat XD i remember when i was in high school and i carried around those books and people would just be like....O.- you actually read that?

What a terrible school. Goosebumps books were too large for the people there to read >.>

My favorite cousins in the world introduced me to Wheel of Time. I see them once a year, the best week of my life, and a couple summers ago they were chatting about the books at dinner. I was intrigued by the conversation, and checked out the books to see for myself once I returned home. Of course, I've never looked back.

I was bored with what I'd been reading and saw the cover for EotW and thought it looked interesting. I've now read them all countless times and could quite easily read them all again and again and again.

TMD--I've had books suggested to me too, but also never followed up...

Holy crap I never posted here XD

My first experience with the WoT was when I was 13 in my middle school library. I had just started to get into fantasy and science fiction, and was looking for books to facilitate that need. They happened to have TEotW, I read it, and i was hooked lol

M'here!

Dad dusted off a box of books in the container, and I rather liked the artwork on this huuuuge series (30 books because they divided the German versions into about 4 books per original book), and started reading...and read...and read...and LOVED it

I just joined, but I am here!

For my first experience, well I was on a trip with my cousins, going over to Ireland to visit relatives. I ran out of books to read but my cousins had both brought WoT. Now, I was only 12-13 at the time so I couldn't get past The Dragon Reborn. With the attention span of a child, I finished 2 and left 3 half way through. Few years later, I was searching in my fathers library for something to read and stumbles upon TEoTW, first book of WoT. From there I was hooked and couldn't put it down until I had finished the series. Since then I have reread them whenever I had a lull or ran out of new books to read.

I thought I'd already signed this, but am obviously mistaken.

First heard of the Wheel of Time when my music teacher mentioned it to me as a good series, and started lending me the goods. I got hooked, didn't go into rehab, and here I am today.

Oh, and:

I actually shoplifted my copy of tGH from the Waldenbooks I worked at in 1993. Liked it so much I swiped tEotW the next weekend. Don't worry, I've long since left my larcenous youth behind me.

Here now

I was really confused by my first WoT book  because it was Lord of Chaos

I didn't know that any other books existed.

I didn't understand why so many people were mentioned as if I should know them??!
