Csarmi I'll givecredit where credit is due =] it took you to about page 300 to make your first good read but once you did you managed to make a second good one in just forty more pages and I don't care what anyone says, that's quantitative proof of improvement.

AJ messed up a bit this game. It happened, it happens to all of us, nobody is perfect and we are all human and sometimes we make bad reads or make a dumb decision in game. It literally has and will happen to anyone who plays this game long enough. I do it all the time.

 

So post-game he feels bashful, says "I screwed up, whoops", and we remember that he's a damn good player who tries really hard and that he's a really cool and great human being who we all adore. All he had to do to remind us of that is show humility. It's an endearing and perfect human trait and it's why we can play this game over and over with people screwing up or not screwing up, because at the end it's not about who was right but about who cared and who was sincere. We love AJ again, it was that easy.

 

You had some faults this game, too. It's all in the DT. It's whatever, but when you open post-game criticizing everyone for not respecting how good you were and how you were so great in your head and it's our fault for not understanding, I personally feel zero sympathy for you and I am just going to ignore you more next game.

 

Except AJ never messed up. He had a very, very good reason to be sure that there are only 4 wolves in the game. He saw his own role PM and it just wasn't believable EVER that a 18p game would have a hated, a survivor, 5 wolves and the wolf with an extra shot. It's game over with 2 mislynches. Few would ever believe that. I know I wouldn't. In fact, if AJ ever flipped survivor here (or claimed), it'd have been a lock for mafia after Yates/Sili fake claim for that very reason. Furthermore, they were survivors. From their PoV it's simple. Lynch AH. If AH is a wolf they win on the spot. Better, if Sili/Yates are wolf, their best interest is to lynch AH again cause that's a short path to victory.

 

 

Yeah, that's basically what we were thinking.  Survivor, hated, and 5 scum would have meant a very quick LyLo.  Basically, if we had mislynched on D5, there was a good chance AJ and I voted you on D6 out of desperation.  But at the time of the Heart lynch, we were thinking it was only 4 scum and Heart was the last one.  And as a survivor, the only downside to that lynch is the heat we take if we're wrong.  Obviously, that's a big downside, but we were willing to risk it.  It was the wrong decision but, fortunately, we didn't have to pay for it.

Btw, what could I have really said/done which would have actually convinced anyone at that point?

Saying "I am town" over and over again wasn't working (and never would...), I explained things that had looked scummy and pointed out a few of the townie things I'd done, and gave my reads. 

Unfortunately was also out of steam, but... *Shrug*

 

Still loads of fun though :D glad to have been even minutely a part of this game. Thanks mods!!! <3

I would guess that your long summary and analysis style posts get a lot of tl;dr glances and then a few days into the game people go "wait, has Heart actually posted anything yet?"

 

That being said, I actually find them rather useful myself.  Just my theory on why you seem to be prone to mislynches.

Hopefully work lightens up a bit later this summer so I can actually be in games "in real time" too
