Stepping Down and Away

Some of you here may not know that I've been in the Band for years, and have been staff for a good part of those years. I've enjoyed my time as Marshall-General of the Band, but due to various reasons, I believe it is time for me to step down and let another take the reigns and lead this wonderful organization. While my reasons are many, there are all my own reasons. I've spent so many years as staff for the Band that I feel like I've almost forgotten what it means to be just a regular Band member. That being said, I do not intend to return to any type of staff position any time soon. At the same time, I will also be taking a bit of an LOA, mainly to let the new Marshall-General take control.

 

As of yet, I do not know who your new leader will be as there is an application process, but I'm sure a decision will be made relatively quickly so that the Band continues to run smoothly.

 

It has been an honor to be Marshall-General for the last two years, and I apologize for not being more present in these last few months.

 

Don't forget though, that the MG Brew Tea is still my special concoction and I reserve the right to hoard it....possibly along with sangria *nods firmly*

I'm sorry to hear you're stepping down, you have been a pillar to the band and I hope that any RL reasons you may be making this decision are quickly resolved so you may return to us, if only as a member, as soon as possible.

BFG-you have now encouraged me to hide because of the promise of a trip to Spain lol

 

 

I am quite sure of my decision and as time passes I may change my mind, but for now I definitely need some time. I can share that my main reason is because my husband is leaving for boot camp on August 26. So right now, I'm very devoted to spending as much time with him as possible. so, I will probably return in September, but just as a plan old awesome and amazing archer! :)

Thanks for taking care of the Band for as long as you have.  You are one of only 2 people that I know that didn't leave and stuck through the rough times.  You should be very, very, proud of yourself.  I'm going to miss you in Sr. Staff and in the Band until you come back.  And you will come back.  *nods knowingly*
