I'd like to see egwene, elayne and nynaeve all be nice to Matt and Rand and treat the men as respected human beings.

 

Nynaeve is making the most progress in this department. i'm really proud of her. :)

I think the Wise Ones are the most likely to be able to adjust to the cleansing of the Taint by freely including men into their infrastructure, but the whole business of the Dragon Blooded suggests its not likely.

 

Still, it would have been cool to see an adjustment in Aiel culture. Male Wise Ones, and perhaps female chiefs to balance things.

 

Thing is the only ones who could teach male aiel or seafolk how to channel, are the ashaman. And if they train them, why should they let them be anything but ashaman afterwards? The ashaman have the monopoly on saidin. They are the only ones who know how to use it. Someone who doesn't want to join them would have to learn on is own, which is pretty damn risky, and he probably wouldn't be a very complete channeler.

So far, she and Rand have only made love once, and the chances of there being time and opportunity for them to do it again seem to be small and getting smaller.

 

So.. what if, by some odd Power-related means, Avi has somehow stored away Rand's seed internally, until she has time to allow it to do its stuff..

 

I believe (but am by no means certain) something of the sort occasionally happens in the animals in our world.. will have to look that up.

The thought came because of something I read in 'Watership Down', about rabbits re-absorbing their embryos in difficult conditions, and I wondered what else might be possible. I suppose it's not unlikely that the Aiel may have developed this ability in the 'difficult conditions' of the Waste!

rands soul does enter TaR....but its not nyn...avi who finds him...they have a "charmed" moment ( leo was dying chris was created...if you get this I LOVE YOU LOL) and...if both are there in the flesh and they...console each other....what happens in vegas stays in vegas folks and bam avis kids....and its HER who casts him out to live again buttttt i think hes toast lmao.

Myself personally, while I expect a few casualties in this...I would be very upset if "Everyone" dies.

We already know the 100-1000 year span of things from Avi. Depending on what happens at the FoM, anyway.

Mat going to Seanchan.

Rand...up in the air, dead and bound either way. An interesting one would be if Rand dies, and the dragon part of him returns to being bound, while he is freed as a regular non-channeling farmboy.

 

Egwene, also up in the air, but I'll vote survive.

Elayne and die in childbirth.

Perrin? Most likely becomes kind with Faile and survives.

Nyn? She'll take on Casuanes role as the Aes Sedai that every other Aes Sedai fears for the next 500 years.

Lan? Most likely dead and bound to the wheel.

Avi? She'll survive. has to have those kids, and probably becomes a renown wiseone after awhile.

What I most want to see is unlikely, since it's the last book and there's not much time left for a whole lot of extra, given all that needs to happen, but what I would most like to see is some really great quiet character scenes. Like, some character reunions (like Rand/Moiraine), except that some time is really taken to have a good long conversation between them, and maybe other characters as well, etc. Or even some more low-key "everyday life" moments with some of the characters. I realize that this isn't really the time for that, but I really enjoyed that aspect of a lot of the books. RJ was really good at mixing action and high-powered events with those calmer, more thoughtful scenes to create great contrast. That, and I feel like Brandon has sort of rushed or not made enough of a deal out of a lot of the scenes where characters who haven't seen each other in a long time meet up again. The scene where Rand apologizes to Tam and cries felt REALLY chopped; I mean, it's like the last paragraph of a chapter. And the whole reveal/fallout of Morgase being recognized/etc. seemed very... underplayed. Not bad, I suppose, but I would have liked a lot more to have been made of it.

 

Minor stuff, really. Overall, I just want to read the book!
