History and historical anthropology- mainly social history of the British Islands in the Middle Ages, dancing- mainly Irish, singing- mainly for God... and WoT of course- mainly everything about it :)
My new passion- il soleggiato Salento e la bellissima lingua italiana! :*
  1. Sorry for the post above, I have serious problems with DM recently. I would get Rand the Bible with dedication: "You still need to be more like Jesus" :)
  2. Thanks to the bond the childbirth itself, even without Elayne dying, would be nasty enough to the father... Let's assume the body-swap occurs and the bond remains tied to Rand's body. The body dies. So even though Rand lives on in a new body, the girls are overwhelmed with grief. It would be hard to convince them "Hey, I'm still here!" in their condition. And it would be definitely weird. However, if the bond is attached to Rand's mind, it would let them recognize his soul in Moridin's body.
  3. BBM and driedraspberry nailed it for me, but I'll add or underline some things: - if Rand bows to Tuon unwillingly or in a way that will make her "ha, and who's the boss now?" (I mean I can bear it if it's something like Rand's visit to the WT, when he controlled the situation); - if Tuon's attitude and the Seanchan society doesn't change; - if AS in general keep being bossy towards the Asha'man and unwilling to cooperate with them;if the Asha'man aren't respected as they should be and if they are made to swear on the Oath Rod; - if all the precious reunions are not perfectly written; - the hottest issues: if Rand uses TP; if anybody slays the DO; if Fain becomes a buffer or replaces the DO; if time becomes linear; if the OP disappeares; if the Seanchan rule after the TG; - if Rand lives on in Moridin's body; - if either the body-swap or ripping Rand out of TAR takes place, although I'm leaning toward the latter - I'm just bored with it and hungry for new things; the same with Demandred/Roedran - I prefer Mik's theory...; - ... well, if Atha'an Miere remain so lame; - if Rand leaves with Min and leads a random life in seclusion; - if Egwene keeps acting behind Rand's back and gather allies - especially Tuon! Oh, how I fear it - against him; - if Elayne and Aviendha don't support Rand with all their hearts, thinking how woolheaded or insane he is, and prefer to side with Egwene instead; - if Rand still cannot kill women; - if there's no vital conversation between Aviendha and Rand about the Aiel, and she doesn't simply read Callandor (but what about Min's research? She must finally find something as well, how to combine it?); - if Perrin doesn't lead wolves and they are just randomly scattered instead; - if it leaves me unable to tell what the Eye's purpose actually was!
  4. I've long called this, too, without even making parallels to the Israelites. Yeah, the parallel came to my mind only yesterday :)
  5. - The Shaido are the "remnant of the remnant" (the Biblical parallel - only the remnant of the Isralites (strictly speaking, of the house of Judah, i.e. one of the 12 tribes) returned to Jerusalem (the Waste) from Babylon (the Wetlands). It's Mashiara's idea. - Aviendha must read Callandor (please, such an opportunity just cannot be ommited!). - Perrin will have to enter TAR in flesh, thus breaking the taboo (the hero's geis from Irish mythologyry > the story of Cu Chulainn, one of Perrin's parallels), becoming vulnerable and risking death. - Some of Mik's ideas will turn out to be true or partially true (although I hope no). - Rand is holdind the Light. The true purpose of the Eye is finally fulfilled - it protects Rand from insanity. "ONLY THE CHOSEN ONE CAN DO WHAT MUST BE DONE, IF HE WILL". On DM he made his choice. - The 3 ta'veren being together in one place will play a role. - Fain's presence near the SG will distract the DO, letting Rand act. - Rand will NOT use the TP. Fain will NOT become the buffer. Moridin will NOT change sides out of logic - unless Rand is seriously intending to slay the DO. There will NOT be Dark Rand 2.0, unless he is possessed by the DO or turned via 13x13 (let's not interpret Sha'rah so literally - the Fisher King almost changed sides only once but the battle for his soul never ended and was very intricate). - Birgitte will die and reappear when the Horn is sounded.

  7. I like this theory, I've never considered those possibilities. I probably just accepted Alivia as a nice outcast plot in the story. @demonchild, You could be right - some think (and I like the idea myself) that Rand metaphorically died on DM so Alivia may have already helped him indeed.
  8. It's my pleasure to write a record 50th post :)
  9. @Tsukibana I know the discussions of that theory and I never considered Rand becoming the Creator, what I wanted to say was just to compare the impossibility - as I see it - of Fain replacing the DO to the parallel yet absurd concept of Rand becoming the Creator :)
