It has been an extra long day as the town was given more time to discuss who they suspected. Alanna and Lavinya argued about who was a vampire leech and who was not. Lavinya swore that she was a human and still some suspected here. In the end it was decided to let the wolves have Alanna. Jacob and Sam threw Alanna out the window they were guarding and immediately heard the renting of vampire flesh and then could smell the rancid smoke. Could it be another mafia member or had killed one of the Cullen's by mistake. Jacob and Sam of course knew from the smell of the vampire they threw out exactly who she was. They had been tracking her after all keeping her away from La Push.

Night ends in 36 hours or Thursday 3PM MST. If night actions are turned in sooner night will end. Because of the New Years stuff day 3 will also be 4 days if the night actions are all turned in sooner.

Ugh this sucks. I can't believe we all three died so early on PURE CHANCE.

 

For the record, Lavinya, I may have been mafia, but I didn't 'reveal,' like you, because I wasn't here, as I said. I'm out of town and just got online. If I'd been here to fake reveal, this could've gone a whole different way. So you're not the only one who keeps getting accused when she isn't here to defend herself.

 

Good luck, town. You're gonna need it, because I think something even worse is coming for you.

So it would appear there are two teams of mafia. I still am subscribing to he cult theory, but that is just me, anyways good lynch for us, now we just have to narrow down who/what the other anti-town team/s are.

I'd say that overall, we aren't doing too badly. We can't control when people sign up and don't play. So the modkills are just bullets we have to bite, I suppose. Other than those, we got three of them and they got one of us. Pretty good going there, people. I think those numbers are right.

 

This game's still pretty hard for me to play, not knowing the story and the characters. Scum slips could be hiding in posts concerning the characters, and I would never know it. My eyes glaze over when that starts....lol. I'm hoping that things will be clearer to me as time goes on. The only one who is even slightly pinging my radar is Dragon, but he always does, so I don't want to give that too much weight yet. I'll keep an eye on him, though, as always.

Most usually, a cult does not get a night kill, whereas the mafia do. The cult can usually recruit members into it, but the mafia is usually stand alone.

 

Min may have changed that however - but thats the usual trend.

Ah so lets say Pete is Cult... and you're an innocent.. With enough bribery and motivation he could make you become a Cultist too??

 

That would make sense with the Volturi since they are always recruiting.. But only vampires..

 

So could it be that the Cullens are open to becoming Cultists?? Eh.. well no if we're supposed to be told of it..

glad the trio of terror is out of the way ...  now is the hard part, finding the other mafia.  and  yeah i agree it is really cool how we got all three like that; and though the modkills on day 1 sucked, it did help us out a little bit by getting rid of a mafa scum.  big price to pay though.

 

i'm still a bit confused on the whole cult thing.  and yeah the mafia can have a recruiter, just like they can have a doctor and a detective role on their side.

 

since i've never played a game witha cult in it and have no experience with them, i'm still going with my original hunch of the Volturi being the 2nd mafia and there being between 3 & 5 members.  i think i went with 4 in my original theory.

If there is another mafia team there could also be a symp, so going with red's number of four as an estimation, the symp would round it off to five.

 

Now if there is a cult it would start with a cult leader, and maybe one follower. The cult leader's night action is to pm the mod the name of a player and then said player is recruited to the cult. Some games the cult can recruit a mafia member and in some they can't so that is up to Min's discretion. And if the cult has recruited the mafia symp, then they would have been aware of all the members in the nomad vampire mafia team.

Also since it is night two, and the cult has had 100% successful recruits then they would be at four members at the most starting tomorrow and three at the least.

Actually it is the first part. They aren't given a nightkill but the power to recruit, once they have a majority they win, the cult if they are allowed to recruit mafia members then they use the knowledge and ability of a nightkill to their advantage to get a leg up on the town.

there is a standard set up that involves 2 seperate mafia groups  for a 12 player stnd game.  i've quoted it fromt he games section

 

6 Townies

1 Cop

1 Doc

2 Mafia A

2 Mafia B

 

in our case you expand the numbers of both the townies and mafia. 

 

the original game had 21 people

 

out of those 21, we have 3 confirmed mafia.  i'm thinking both mafias woudl be equal or close to equal.  with 2 seperate teams both with 3 members that woudl give of 6 total mafia.  throw in a symp for good measure and you have a set up like this

 

3 Mafia A (Team James)

3 Mafia B (Team Volturi)

15 other (townies with roles/townies without roles/cult/symp)

 

ofcourse numbers could varie but this is just for an example so you get an idea what the skeleton of a basic standard game involving two mafias would look like

what is the point of a cult??  beside the recruiting.  can the nk?  or do they win if they recruit a majority of the town or recruite/kill all the mafia??
