The wind rose in the mountains to the North and blew south.

 

The northern cities, the shield against the blight for as long as living memory could remember were falling, overrun by shadowspawn and the people fled south

 

Marching against the flood of humanity a small army, lead by a crownless king of a country long lost to the Shadow fought to make a Last Stand reclaiming the home they'd lost.

 

A man lay propped against a tree, too exhausted to continue; a woman knelt at his side sharing the last of her water

'You should go' he gasped

She hesitated and in that moment a lone trolloc approached them

'Stay back' she said defiantly, lifting a crossbow that was almost too heavy for her to hold

'NARG no hurt, NARG talk'

'I said STAY BACK' she screamed and fired, the crossbow bolt went wide and she didn't have time to load another

 

The wind blew south past the broken tower, jagged black holes and scorch marks marring its once stainless walls. South over the burning city of Caemlyn, where small bands of men fought to save what they could, fought to keep the dragons out of the hands of the shadow. South to the gathering of people...

 

At the Fields of Merrilor, thousands of displaced people camped, the lucky few in tents, the bigger mass huddled around camp fires trying to keep warm. For all the hustle, bustle and terror many felt oddly at peace as they drank water that tasted fresh for the first time in weeks, ate food that wasn't rotting, occasionally even laughed.

 

And still the camp grew, already the size of a small city it swelled as people, pulled by something they didn't understand joined the camp. Farmers came with pitchforks still covered in dirt, merchants with wagons laden with food and herbs and ale, mercenaries and soldiers, enemies a day before, allies today, all pulled to this place by the man who would save them, the man who would destroy them, the man they had hated and feared since birth, the man they now looked to for salvation.

 

And at the centre of it all, the leaders of the Free World, the leaders of the Light that would stand against the Shadow squabbled like children.

 

The Council had failed.

 

A diminutive woman with eyes too old for her face glided into the tent and silence fell, a spark of hope in the darkness

 

 

The wheel of time turns, and Ages come and pass...

 

 

 

 

Game Mechanics

 

The game thread will be CLOSED at night

 

Each player has a choice between spending the night in the stedding or spending the night in tel'aran'rhiod. These are two separate night time QT topics, your choice will affect your abilities. Dead players live on in the Dreamworld and can talk to the living at night

 

The stedding and the Dreamworld are separate, abilities used in the Dreamworld cannot affect players in the stedding or vice versa

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Game rules

 

Kill each other nicely, if you feel somebody is out of line then PM me

 

Days will be roughly 48 hours, Nights will be roughly 24 hours. This is a deadline game. The person with a majority of votes at deadline gets lynched, day does not end early with majority. However I can shorten the day/night schedule as the game gets smaller. Phase change will be at 23:00 BST (british summer time), please have any night actions submitted 1 hour before phase change, they can be changed at any point before this.

 

You do not need to unvote before voting again, to vote either bold and red your votes or use the vote tags
