With 8 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

That's a lynch!  Scene incoming.

As if times weren't difficult enough, the city had grown even more paranoid over the last few days.  People were dying left and right, and not just from starvation.  Those walking in the streets avoided shadows; those indoors set up a watch system for guarding their doors.  Even the "establishment" had grown quieter; gossip wasn't worth lives.  Jacques shut the door to his apartment, barricading it as best he could with heavy furniture.  He walked to the bedroom and dropped to his hands and knees.  He felt around for a few minutes and then pried up a loose floorboard under the bed.  He pulled out the small bag - getting smaller every day - and pulled the drawstrings open.  He heaved a sigh of relief as he saw a heel of bread at the bottom.  Enough for one more meal at least.  His stomach groaned as if on cue and he drew the bread out with a shaking hand.  It tasted delicious; like a rich feast.  It was probably stale as hell, but starvation could play tricks on one's mind.  He had just finished the bread when suddenly his door burst open.  A mob of people filed into his apartment, more and more pushing in until someone spotted him.

"There he is!" a male voice yelled, and people stomped toward him.

"I just know he has food!" Screamed a female voice.

Jacques stood up slowly and stared at the crowd.  He looked at the guns in their hands and the murder in their eyes and his mouth turned into a sneer. "Yes, I had some bread," he said, "but I just ate the last of it.  It tasted delicious.  Why don't you imbeciles look elsewhere for food.  Do I look like I have more?"  He pulled up his shirt and showed his sunken stomach; ribs protruding and no extra skin to spare.

"WHERE IS IT?" another voice yelled.

A shot rang out, quieting everyone.  Jacques stumbled back and collapsed on the bed, his blood creating a large red spot underneath his thin frame.

"Oops?"  Said another voice, and the crowd started ripping his apartment apart.

Ishy, Jacques Hoche, vanilla town has been lynched.

I had Krak and Hally pegged, but Alanna, you totally surprised me. GG everyone.

I honestly was trying to win with the town until LYLO. I was pretty sure Ishy was town, and went for the win.

My early town-read on Hallia was mostly based on my scum-reading Mish

So well played there.

Krak's opener rubbed me the wrong way though, the way he attacked me over Hallia. Scumvibes there.

Oh yeah, Despo was mafia too. Just saying

First of all: Thank you so much to Dap and Key for modding this, the theme was amazing and although I haven't seen the whole set-up yet I loved the baker-thing, great idea to run that with this theme Dap. I'm so sorry to both of you that this fell apart completly.

Secondly... Well wth town. Firstly the whole role-PM fiasco wich completly screwed us over. Secondly, who follows on the "info lynch" argument on D1?!!! Should've told you right there and then when I flipped town that Alanna was mafia. My lynch didn't generate info; it lost info! It lost a voice that was vocal and willing to be used. Look at how quiet it became afterwards for the most part. And Ishy, wth man. Thanks for losing the game for town by just lieing down and giving up. You had started to get enough attention D2 that you should've turned your game around to actually help your team.

I feel so bad for Dap and Key for having to deal with all the bad gameplay being done in this game. They deserve so much credit for actually keeping the game going after the role PM mess. If it had been my game, I would have shut it down. Too bad you all didn't repay them for that by playing your best.

Krak gets the avard for the best player from me, with Vos a close second. Congrats mafia.

I don't think it's necessary to criticize other people's play after the game. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. During the game is one thing, but afterward? That doesn't sit well with me.

Good game, everyone. This was my first game back in over a year, and in spite of the role PM mess, I still enjoyed it.

I absolutely think the mods did a great job with the whole fiasco; I think the only "perfect" way to rectify the situation was to shut the game down, but having modded before, and knowing the hard work you put into setting up your own game, I can understand trying to salvage it as best possible. I would have done the same.

If the mods don't mind sharing, I am interested in knowing what went into the decision to modkill all 3 players without alignment being given. I realize there was some argument that giving alignment would have put the mafia at a disadvantage, but honestly, I felt at a disadvantage without it - though that may just have to do with factors of this specific game. For instance, thinking that alignment was going to be given, I had come up with a whole case against Mish based on Despo flipping scum. When his alignment wasn't given, the only part of my case I could use was the rather weak "info lynch" argument, which had only been a small part of my entire case involving Despo.

I guess I just feel like information isn't totally detrimental to the scum team, because we can manipulate it. And because Yates, Despo, and AJ were by far the most active players of the game, modkilling all 3 and not giving alignment basically excised all their parts of the game - which was a lot. I kept going back and doing rereads to try and find some information or play to manipulate, and there was painfully little to work with (maybe a better player could have done more, but I'm not that great at mafia).

Anyway, so I'd like to hear a little about that, if you don't mind - totally up to the mods. And let me reiterate, this is not meant to be criticism on the mods at all; I think they did a great job under the circumstances. But as someone who mods games as well, I'm interested in the reasoning behind the decision.
