Too much personal drama last night and this morning to focus and finish the reread I promised.  No time to say much as I have to get ready for work now.

 

Mish is coming across as a bit aggressive and emotional but I usually associate that with her as town.  Still not sold on the Peace train either.  If I had to guess, I'd say both are likely town, although I'm less confident with Peace.

 

My gut feeling is that Red is mafia.  No time to go back and pull quotes, but the fact that she misinterpreted one of Mish's statements in a highly illogical way seemingly just so she could call her out on the illogical statement is part of it.  There's more but I'm going to be late for work.

Someone's sure to accuse me of trying to start a new train to derail the lynch less than 12 hours from deadline, but if I didn't vote her, I'd get accused of being scummy for not voting my strongest mafia read.  No way to win on that one.  However, I don't want a random and am willing to move my vote as necessary. I will be home well before deadline and will also try to check in on breaks from work.

Ok, prepare for messy. Can't seem to concentate today; took me longer to read five pages today than twenty yesterday... Sheesh.

 

1. Darthe

Not much in my notes on Darthe. First to place a serious vote on Tress D1. Instead of commenting on the building Hallia-situation, he made a jokey poke at me. Had a weird post today about why we didn't lynch him since he's mafia. That's my main notes on him. Noting too bad that really catches my attention yet; he's playing a distracted and disjointed game, but he doesn't ping for it yet. Leaning town.

3. Yates

First one to point out Des pursuing Len even after Len had been hammered. Very neutral read, his posts drown a bit in everyone elses, but nothing that pings. Neutreal to town lean.

4. Ishy replaced by Csarmi

Also a difficult one to read. Ishy's snap on Hallia's behalf was out of character for him, and he never really gave any proper thoughts, even when pressured. Placed a vote on Tress yesterday without giving a reason. Also had a case "I'll post thoughts later" that didn't come, but that might be because he then decided to be replaced. Mostly a neutrral read, with a slight ping, will keep a close eye on Csarmi to see how his play develops.

5. Key

Key has been fairly loud, but she mostly follows up what others say, she hasn't come with much original reads of herself. She placed a "joke" vote (although with no text proclaiming it as a "joke" vote, it was at the end of a post that didn't mention Tress at all, very start of D1) on Tress. Calls Darthe unhelpful and makes a whole little WoT to prove her point (null read in itself). Says she dislikes both rolefishing and softclaiming, to me reads as an out to vote both me and Hallia, wherever the train seems strongest. Think she still has her vote on Tress at this time though. Has some very, very subtle buddying to me #309 (she said she liked my points against Hallia, Des corrected her to say he had the points first, she says maybe she liked the way I said it better. It's very subtle, but worth noting). After Des' very long case against me, she suddenly agrees. Still doesn't move her vote though. She eventually moves her vote to Len two-ish hours before deadline saying "time is of the essence". I don't see the need to even add a reason; deadline was looming and there wasn't really any other train that was sure to be a lynch at the time. So the added "reason" felt off. She votes me today at the exact same time BG does. I can't remember right now (forgotten to write down) if she's even commented on the Peace-train.  Mafia read on this one.

 

7. Peace

I'll be coming back to Peace in the post after this. But in short, he's had a sprinkling of odd posts throughout the game, and I'm def leaning mafia on him. Stay tuned for that Wot.

8. Hally Replced by Dice

I believe the claim, so town.

9. BG

Has been very quiet. Was the third to vote Leno, calls him Tress' mafia teammate. Then links Tress, Lenlo, Krak. The rest of his posts D1 centers around Krak, doesn't say much about me, Lenlo, Hallia or anything else but Krak really for the remainder of the day. This Day he comments on that Tress is quiet, banters a bit with Red, doesn't give game thoughts before Red pressures him on it. Thinks people overreacts to DiceHallia, thinks peae seem "normal", whatever that means, and he thinks I'm acting odd, but he doesn't place a vote. Then today he votes me, saying me placement on Peace's train is suspect, but doesn't bother saying how or why. If he was suspect of me yesterday; why not vote then? Leaning mafia.

10. NotBob

Most damning I've seen NB do, was introduce the "maybe Peace is the real doc"-WIFOM today. Otherwise, a neutral to slightly town read.

12. Tress

Has been quiet, that's ok. But when she posts, it's very little actual gameplay in her posts. I do understand bein busy, but the majority of her posts are defending herself, instead of actually trying to scumhunt. I really don't see the train that buildt on her D1, it was very thin reasoning. She thought Lenlo was buddyin D1. Later makes a case on Key, but doesn't vote her, votes Len for deadline, but she suspects Key and IshyCsarmi. Then D2, most of her posts are again about why she was unable to post. She doesn't comment a thing on me, even though a lot of people has since D1 pointed at me, until her post just now when I'm town (and she's the first to think so... I'll take a leaf out of her book and call it buddying). Also has a "I'll get flak for whatever I do now"-comment. Votes Red. Def. pingy. On the mafia suspect list.

 

13. Pral

I have no read on him at all, simply not enough posts and content. Only I have in my notes is that he quesitoned me why I liked the Hallai train better than the peace train, wich is a null tell.

 

14. Despo

Des is a hard nut, as usual I swing between mafia and town on every second post he makes more or less... But let's look at the notes. He early on connects me, Len and Tress as a scum team; well we know that's not true. He spent alot of time casing me d1 and has continued on that path today; at least he's consquent in his play. Also goes after Len, but hardest after Len has already been hammered. Why, if he thought Len was mafia, allow him to spread WIFOM as he was dying? Completly discredits Len's urging town to look at himself, BG and Ishy. Then D2 he makes a case on both me and Peace. He calls Peace out for "I think you're fishing for the other x-night doc (assuming that you assume there to be one), and also think you might be able to try and get a claimed doc lynched under policy type pretenses (voting the play, not the claim), so that you can't be called out for shady reasoning." o in other words, rolefishing, trying to get the doc lynched, and trying to be sneaky about it so he won't get flak for it. And yet he votes me over Peace, for rolefishing, not voting at the end of D1, and "a sprinkling of AtE". Especially the last is weird. Des should know by now that I have AtE in my posts as town too. anyone remember Verbs bastard game? Where Des was SO convinced I was mafia? Mhm. I was not. AtE was one of the points he used against me there too. In other words, he should know better than use that as a scumtell against me. Then he dismantles one of Reds posts, and votes Peace. Leaning mafia, but he's my smallest and most unsure mafia read; he was town in the bastard game, and his play now reminds me a bit of that.

 

15. Krak

2.  IPA is good.  My favorite is Sierra Nevada Torpedo.

I will see your Torpedo and raise you a Bells Two Hearted.  Bells just started distributing in NY October 1 and I'm LOVING this ability to drink this world class example of an IPA on a whim.

 
Ever have Founder's Centennial?  It's pretty awesome to taste it back-to-back with Two Hearted as they are both single hopped with Centennial and both brewmasters manage to coax quite a different flavor from the hops.  Of the two, as close as it is taste-wise, I think I might have to give the edge to Founders.
 
Otherwise, really enjoying Green Flash's Hop Odyssey series and their recently released (to GA at least) Green Bullet Triple IPA.  Finished off two sixers of Ballast Point Sculpin and Modus Hoperandi from Ska Brewing.  Both were excellent.

That was still a very good catch by BG. The rest of Krak's play has been very little, he pops in with a comment every now and then, but a lot is off-topic. He followed Peace onto attacking RTE D2, he's parked his vote there, has nudged people to vote RTE, but I can't remember him commenting on any of the trains D1 except for that quote, and ne hasn't made a single comment about me I think either, wich has also been a hot topic. Big, big mafia read. This would actually be the lynch I'd most prefer to do today, but it's 9 hours left until deadline, I don't know how many will be around, and Peace is my nr 2, so Krak can wait until tomorrow.

 

 

16. RTE

Null read mostly, I liked his posts against Peace today though, so slight town lean.

17. Red

I can never read Red, her aggresive style is so far out I have big troubles looking at her obectivly. But there has been nothing major that's pinged me, so I'll place her in a neutral read for now.

18. AJ replaced by GF

AJ's quick unvote after Hallia's claim yesterday had a slight ping, but overall I have a neutral read. Will have to see some posts by GF to make a proper decicion there.

Yeah, Tress is important. I can't see an all female team though; I'm pretty sure between Des, BG, Krak and Peace, at least one of them is mafia. Since we started out with 18 players, it's at least 4, possible 5 mafia (depends on how roled town is, I guess). So unless you think both me, Red, Tress and Key are mafia together, I highly doubt a femme fatale team ;P

Specific night DOC is a very weak claim in a basic game.  I don't believe it.  I'm keeping my vote where it is.  Her game play is scummy.  Her soft claim was very scummy.  Her hard claim the scummiest of them all.

Suddenly we're in a basic game? Smells like mafia grasping for everything to paint a person scummy.
 

Red failed a ton on her two posts. Like more than in the history of DM mafia.

Chastised Red for fail, but doesn't go deeper into exactly what she failed at. Must easier to just prod.

I've dropped a few posts that wasn't particularly game-relevant, that was about beer and confusion about Dice replacing Hallia. But I think I've gotten every game-relevant quote. So yes, he's been a fair bit erratic. Dragging up the Darthe post again suddenly in the middle of his Hallia-pressuring, half-hearted poking at Red and Yates and unnamed players, attacking RTE, thinking we are in a basic game (since when did a basic game have triggers?), a bit of off-topic spam. He's been tunneling on HalliDice, and I ahven't seen him comment on much else that's going on. Not Len, not the heat against me, wich have been two major discussion points in the game.

Also, I was gonna play it reserved, but I know it sucks for Mish thy I didn't offer anything super concrete, so I'll say that her read on me is way off - which in an of itself isn't evidence of anything but misplay, but she let a lot of people off the hook and zeroed in on me for my "slip" combine with not addressing her argument about the doc, which I found inane and useless. For me to be her biggest scumread for that seems way overstated - if reads like she sees me as an easy lynch because I tend to snipe, which I wont apologize for and which is pretty self-evident by now. Furthermore, her case on Peace was almost completely unconvincing and looked like she was reaching.
