Who are some characters you wish you had gotten to see MORE of in the series???

[The Fisher King]

Rand, Mat, Perrin, Faile, Lan, Nynaeve, Moiraine, Thom, Egwene and others are characters who - obviously - got loads of screen time to this point.

 

Here are some characters I took a bit of a liking too that seemed to appear on camera too sparsely for my liking. In other words, Wish we'd seen more of:

 

 

Pedron Niall - don't wask me why I kinda liked this old monster. But I did - and he was gone too soon.

 

Hmmm....Moiraine disapeared for too long and Rodel waited too long to debut (As did Cadsuane - I like her, sue me)...

 

Logain...I swear, talk about missed opportunties with a very charismatic character that was onscreen too briefly.

 

Tarna...Liked her. Wish we had seen more...especially considering what ended up happ - well, you know :-( :-( :-(

 

Dena. A rare time RJ fleshed out a character and a romance in a very brief amount of time and made it feel really, uh, REAL.

 

Oh, and of couuurse: UNO!!!

I would have liked to see Rahvin and Asmodean get a little more time, especially Asmodean. He was a truly interesting character and his pseudo-friendship with Rand was good stuff.

Definitely agree about Be'lal, Asmodean, and Logain (One of my favourite chars).

 

I would like to see more viewpoints from the BT, and also hoping Pevara gets more screentime in AMoL. Have a feeling most of those are coming.

 

Loial isn't getting much time either and Elayne needs less, but that's not what we're here to discuss so [backspace][backspace][backspace].

Asmodean was one of my faves, that i wish we could have seen more of. And Logain, though I don't think he is finished with yet just ;)

"Oh, hey, Moiraine. Wait, don't do thaaaaaat!" (Be'lal proceeds to speak almost a full sentence while she weaves Balefire instead of seizing saidin and obliterating her.)

...lame.

 

Logain

I'd love to have seen more of him between leaving the Tower and him being healed. He had this feeling of sickness to him... he was focused inward, but when provoked, would come alive in very interesting ways.

 

Hopefully we get to see more of him (and his glory is not one of those unresolved strings) in AMOL.

 

I agree on Asmodean too, FWIW.

 

Tam al'Thor is another. He was characterized fully by the time that they left Emond's Field, and his reactions to Perrin and Rand were some of the most emotional and interesting of the series, for me. He's a great character. I sincerely hope that Harriet allows Brandon (or someone else) to write the outriggers, and that Tam's story (from leaving the Two Rivers to coming back with Kari and Rand) is one of them.

Padan Fain....he is my favorite character of them all. There is something about an insane bad guy who is not only a bad guy to the good guys but even the bad guys hate him. I love that character.

I liked Padan Fain right up until the Zombie Trollocs moment. If he twisted their minds while they were alive is one thing but Zombie Trollocs is a bit much. Especially after Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson had already thrown in a zombie scene last book...

I wish there had been more of the Logain-Bashere-Loial trio Rand formed in KoD. AWESOME group. Coolier, IMO, than Rand Mat and Perrin.

 

Also, Alviarin, and Daved Hanlon/Doilan Mellar. Alviarin was so calmly evil, she was my favorite Black Ajah by far (and that includes Verin). Dave had me the moment he killed a fellow Darkfriend by throwing his sword across the room, and became head of Elaynes personal guard in the process. That guy was one of the few non-top end Darkfriends that I really liked.

There are hints of her being an awesome character but she's left one-dimensional because of all the screen time devoted to the boring characters around her (Perrin, Faile, Morgase, Galad).

Definitely Talmanes. And Asmodean--he was my favorite Forsaken by far. Some of the others I'd like to see more of would be Birgitte, Logain, and Ingtar.

OK I know the OP mentioned Nynaeve getting loads of screen time, but the thing that bothers me is that while she's onscreen a lot she didn't actually get many PoVs compared to Elayne and Egwene. Elayne gets plenty of PoVs when she starts fighting for the throne, so why couldn't Nynaeve have had more when it came to Tanchico/Salidar/Ebou Dar. When I first read the books this REALLY annoyed me, but I cheered up so much when I got to a Nynaeve PoV that other people could actually tell the difference lol.

 

I'd have liked to have seen more Graendal, to have actually seen her sowing seeds of chaos, not just thinking about it. Also, Verin. To be honest I'd like to see anyone/everyone get more time, if it means that Perrin gets less. Oh speaking of Perrin, I'd have liked something more to have been made of Aram. Didn't get the point of him when he ended up turning on Perrin and getting killed.

Most of the bad guys. Demandred, Slayer, Shaidar Haran, and so on. I think chances are high of more time with them in the last book.

I want more Alivia. She appoints herself as Rand's bodyguard and then she's just kind of not there anymore short of an insignificant mention in TGS.
