I say triple voter because that's what it would make in this situation. Two people with one vote equals two votes, yet the vote count was three. If they were also able to target someone else by PM that would make three votes to one person.

 

I've never seen that kind of double voter in action, but I still say the concept is a bit ridiculous and not totally helpful to anyone.

All very true. I suppose I'd have to see it work in a game to judge better...it's just hard to imagine it as a practical role. Unless scum had the power. That could work well. Make a public vote on a teammate to absolve yourself but send a sneaky second vote onto an innocent to make the lynch....hmmmm *ponders the possibilities*

Lavi (stole it from Nae, and what?), that isn't why I *coughed*. I agree with Al....a lot. I don't think the double voters second vote should be publicized. throw it in the final days vote, sure, when a person is already lynched, but not in every update....

Lavinya: It was my first Mafia game that I ran, I was playing around with different roles. It actually started out in the hands of an innocent but was stolen by Jeran who had a one time switch-roles ability. Jeran was Mafia so it was a boon for them.

 

And count me as one of the ones confused by your Triple Voter theory. Are there 2 different vote counts that are messed up? And even then I don't get it. If you're referring to Jeran's suggestion, it's still not a triple vote. They could vote once in the thread and then pm the mod and tell them where they want their second vote placed.

Obviously we have a player who when they vote, it counts as two votes against that person. With me? If this person ALSO had the ability to send in via PM another vote (so on a second person), that would make THREE votes. Two against player A (made two votes from two players equal 3), and one against player B. You follow? It's why I don't think that ability is in play, it's a bit hard to believe.

 

Anyway, it was more random musing than anything. I'm not trying to mock your modding ability Lia, as I said it was hard to imagine the role being practical, BUT when I thought some more, in the hands of the mafia that kind of power could be quite interesting. Besides, we play mod and learn, yes? :)

What I believe was meant earlier is that neither Anox or player could be a double voter. I could be voting for Nae (1 vote) and have sent in a PM to Pete placing my second vote on whoever they voted for. This would make it look like one of them were the double voter. Or I could just wait until later in the voting process and PM Pete to tell him to add my second vote to Nae.

 

I think this double voting ability would be much more worthwhile and valuable. Who knows if Pete has incorporated it. I don't think so. I think Player or Anox is a double voter, but has some augmented ability. I think 18 of the players in this game have modified roles from what is traditionally allowed. (18 being the number of people he originally was going to have before having to make 2 more)

i have to say, i like the idea of the 2nd vote being pm'd instead of automatically counting once the person votes

the triple vote is just a bit too much though.  that ability could actually end up hurting the town. 

 

now what would be intersting would be a jester, assasin, ninja or SK with a double voter ability ....  especailly given the nature of the assasin and ninja

I agree with Min, but I really don't have a suspicion list to speak of yet.  If it means the difference between a lynch or not, I'll vote....but I'm inclined to not vote for right now.  Like Min said, I'll listen to reasons, but I'm not sure if anything is enough at this point to convince me.  The handful of players with a lonely single vote on them are unlikely candidates for this lynch, anyways.

I agree that we need to figure out who the mafia is, but really, everyone is being so careful, it's hard to even find suspicion in anything so far, so my random vote stands until I find cause to change it.
