You can declare you want to be a novice a bit later on :) just post on the boards available to you and you should get access to our private boards soon. None of the links in the original post are working. I haven't tried the form one because I wanted to read all the rules first before joining. I keep getting sent to the yahoo error page. Can anyone help?

Some of those threads are at the Aspirant Quarters and the Hall of the Tower, which you will not be able to see yet. I'm working on a new pinned topic that will contain everything you need to know.

 

Here are some of the basics, though (copied from the MoN's thread):

 

Rules and Regulations:

Follow all site rules (i.e. PG-13, NO ToM spoilers, avatar and signature guidelines, etc.)

RESPECT - This is the number one rule at the White Tower Social Group, without exception. We are all from different parts of the world and our differences should be celebrated, I will not accept any slander or flaming, ever.

CHANNELING - Only Aes Sedai and Accepted will ever be channeling. Aes Sedai may channel at their whim as long as they are not abusing another member, and Accepted can channel only with the supervision of an Aes Sedai.

AJAHS - You will not declare your preference of Ajah until you are Accepted into it and the Ajah Head has announced it.

There are no exceptions to these rules, and breaking them will result in sever punishment, which could include a ban.

 

Behavior expected of you as an aspirant:

Respect all members of a higher rank, even if they are not in the same path as you.

Respect every level of staff and do as you are asked by them.

If you have a question, please ask!

Be patient, getting raised is not a race.

Take your time and have fun with aspirant-hood while you can!

I was just wondering what the timeline looks like for getting set up? I filled out the form last Monday (the 31st) and I've seen a few people mention Sundays being when most new members are set up, but alas I can still see nothing.

 

No rush for the moderators, I'm just excited to get more involved (and as excitedly impatient as a 6-year-old waiting for recess)!

Dang ... I still haven't changed the opening post to say the following: all new members now start out as Initiates and have to do the WT/Warders class before they can decide on a path.
