Voice Chat?

Just out of curiousity, I was wondering who would be interested in trying to participate in an active voice chat? Something like Ventrilo, Skype, whatever...

 

I don't know that anything will happen now (since I'm just trying to see where the interest level is thus far), but if people seem to be into it, perhaps I can look into getting this stuff set up.

I don't have any issue either. I voted the last option too though 'cause I thought it was funny.

 

I was thinking about this a few days ago and confronted Vanion at the BT about setting up a ventrilo on his server and he said he would look into it. So I don't know if he will or not, but if he does I'll let him know that we may want to use it here.

Smiling sadistically Moggy swung swifty across the thread on her rope, armed with a single rapier... As she came up to Shaidar Haran she launched herself from the rope and swung the rapier as she twirled in mid air. Just as she had hoped would happen, the first swing only removed the hood that surrounded Canukistani's head. Grinning she walked up to the rather harassed looking Faction Leader and balefired her with the True Power...

Sneaking up on Pol, Talya channelled and bound her up in air keeping her frozen to the stop. Walking round her, Talya grinned as she took out a bottle, took off the top and slowly began to poor parts of it over her body. Pol's flesh began to disintegrate in the places she had dripped the liquid. the skin continued to dissolved, until in place Pol's bones started to show through. Talya could see the pain on her face and sneered at her that it would teach her!

Giggling Talya poured it over her head watching it eat through her hair and her face!

 

The bottle empty, she clicked her fingers and in walked some zombies with some equipment, which they hitched above Pol. Waving them away she released the bonds that kept Pol where she was and watched as she pawed her burns, then with a flick of her wrist the barrel that had been placed above Pol opened it's contents all over her.

 

Talya stepped back and watched Pol begin ooze into a blob..

 

"I'm mealting...." were the only words she screamed, as she became a puddle on the floor!

 

Talya walked away! Satisfied the job was done.

Update:

 

I'm currently looking into hosting my own vent server. I've got a bajillion computers in this house, one of them is bound to hold up. I'll keep everyone updated as I keep doing research.

you have a bajillion computers in the house and only one barely capable of playing WoW that's a laptop?

All of those computers don't have a sufficient graphics card or RAM. They are all older pc's.

 

VOICE CHAT UPDATE:

 

My husband and I priced new servers, and we can get a nice one for relatively cheap. So we're currently saving for that, and in the meantime I have him working tirelessly on frankensteining one of our other pc's to be a Ventrilo server. That way it will be on 24/7, and people can just hop on and chat whenever they want. We have everything installed, we are just having issues with our firewall and having people outside the network connect to the server. I will be sure to keep you all updated though as we get this together. I think we have it almost figured out. I'm hoping to be able to give you login info in the next 2-3 weeks.

 

It will be Ventrilo though. It's the best one I could find that allows a lot of people to be on at once.
