This is more or less where I'm at.  I was thinking more about what you were saying about WiFi/Dice, and you're probably right - Scum!Dice probably didn't come in and drop an unexplained townread on a teammate who usually gets a lot of attention.  So I'm fine with that that order.

If I were going to change anything, I'd put Dice over WiFi and slide Nyn down beneath both of them.  Maybe make Hallia a slightly different color for the potential association with BFG?  But preflip analysis gonna preflip, I guess.

There was a joke I was gonna make but it's prolly not appropriate lol

I know you all don't like MQ.  but I woke up to like 4/5 pages of stuff.  Just got done reading.

What do you think about eod?

It was the slowest eod I ever played in.  Though I only played in 19 games so far (including this one).  I am not good at wagonomics but I will try my take on it.

I think at least 1 of Iron/dice/clov could be scum.  Looking more at dice/clover.  Raisins: Paranoidism: They are both such good players that they have deep wolf equity in my eyes.  Also Iron has been my top town read, I will be crushed if he is scum.  Though I have an idea on how to find out.  Okay that wasn't wagononics.  ?

I’ll reread EOD again either tonight or tomorrow so we’ll come back to this again once I can get it all straight.

But when I got into the game I think it was IT at 3 and BFG at 2. Hallia voted Zander before BFG voted Nyn, so I guess there’s something to chew on wrt BFG not putting the lead wagon further ahead. If BFG or Hallia flips red though then I think it looks bad for the other. Neither voted Tear and Hallia didn’t vote BFG. Need to see where they were at with each other.

This totally has me ? ?

Whats your current read on me and why?

You would ask.  I am legit ?  On the one hand my gut still says scum.  On the other hand your play says town, however you are another good player I am paranoid about.  ? I guess I am a paranoid player, big time.  It takes more than day one for me to get good reads.  So, you are still scum but instead of medium scum, you are slightly scum.

I don't have any short cuts to reading WiFi.  I know Dice said that she comes up with ideas that make sense to her and arent necessarily how others would approach it.  That's definitely true, but it's not like shes going to be a very toe the line, run of the mill player as scum.

That being said, I'm not super interested in lynching her right now.  I didn't mind her sheeping Zander on his wolf list, and even her pop in after the flip felt genuine enough.  I do want to see her and Dice's thoughts on one another now though.

see above: I know its not much, I am just legit ? since the flip about a few of the players.

So, my idea of finding out if marsh is town/mafia:

Kat throws the God Stick to him tonight if he's town we have two confirmed townies.  And Marsh was/is on most peoples town list so its a good chance we get to keep the ability and get confirmed townie.  If he's wolf we get rid of possible deep wolf.  Just saying.  ? It also sets up night 2 where we have 2 confirmed townies they have to pick from. and if marsh keeps the God stick night 3 it nills a nk cause they would probably go after him n3. and so on...or she could give it to me and same could happen.

I'll be honest... I have absolutely no idea how to take her completely ignoring Zander when Hallia and I were voting there - not questioning or really even acknowledging my vote, despite being her #2 candidate, only to vote Nyn for the reasons she did.  I know she had already said that Nyn was her biggest scumread, but that was something else.

If it was someone else I'd be more suspect, but I just don't know how to read Wifi at all

The sense or rather lack of wasn't the issue. Ie in the past she didnt make a whole lot of sense to me (no offense wifi lol).... it was just so out there even for her that it felt more like shading than just lulwifi, if that makes sense.

I have no idea why you brought it up but you quoted me and as a semi formidable attention whore I'm compelled to answer ?

I have no idea how how im going to manage to catch up.

❤️ @Nynaeve  quoted AGAIN WOMAN

That does make sense though. Ty for clarifying

That wasn't related to your mess up, Iron.  To be honest, I don't even know what you were trying to do.  I was just trying to engage you because you're somebody I've felt ~good about for a lot of the game, but I'd really like to see more substance from you.

Fair. RL is trying to keep my away from the game, but after my midterm on Thursday morning I think I can post a lot more. At that point I really want to do a #ZanderCatchUp from the beginning with the knowledge from the flip(s?) tomorrow.

And for the record, what I was trying to do was play mafia on three hours of sleep while also writing an essay in a language other than my native tongue. Doesn't work very well.

The bold is a good strategy, and I do think we should use the deity like a cop read. IE send it to someone you aren't sure about or think you won't be able to read using gameplay.

The non-bold I don't agree with so much. The scum always know who the deity currently is, so they won't be dumb enough to shoot into that slot. They're more likely to either a) shoot people who are former deities and therefore won't be mislynched or b) try to predict where the deity will be passed and shoot there, to take it out of the game. This makes passing it a risk, but the numbers favor us so far with twelve players. And more confirmed townies = less options for scum.

Lol, so much for me trying to not get hung up on mechanics

Somehow one of my points to Wifi never left my head... I was trying to communicate that I don't think it's advantageous for any player to keep the deity two days running until we're way later in the game, probably not even unless we're close to LYLO. It's a combination cop/vig that can't kill town, and that's stupid powerful. Hence why it's the only role we've got. And hence why we shouldn't waste opportunities to use it.

Generally I would say using it to try and confirm middle of the pack players is the best route. Especially since scum have two shots available on any given Night to kill the vocal townie players.

Passing to someone like Dice/Marsh/Wifi/Zander would be my idea of optimal rn. I'd bank on confirming another townie over hitting scum until the pool is smaller.

Plus it puts scum in a bad spot where they have to pick between guessing the recipient or shooting players with positive standings.

As a guy with a degree in Linguistics, believe me - I'm aware.  You've never lived until you've presented in front of a foreign university in a speech contest.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you think you're a good candidate for the deity tonight?  Why?

The more I think about it, the less positive I am what I'd want to do with it.  In a typical cop V+ game, especially a 9er, the general theory is that you should be copping nulls that will return as town.  However, once you know who 1 mafia is, try to find their teammates.

I think it's probably similar here - mostly +EV to shoot for mafia once you've already lynched one, since you can hunt via association and SHOULD be able to clear at least a few people.  But yeah, finding a middle town is probably best N1.  I mean, I'd probably still try to hero cuz bragging rights, but that's just me

I mean I totally do NOT get the bolded in your quote in my MQ post.  It just goes way over my head.

It’s just analysis into the motive for someone making a vote after we have more information and beyond the stated reason (cause people make up things in Mafia)

OH I know what I would LOVE to do with it... I'd love to give it to Chris. So that if he's town I can breath and feel good about myself... and if he's scum he's dead and can't pocket me. Actually there's one or two that I'd LOVE to do that to. I'm just afraid they will get deaded tonight. It is true that the longer I wait to pass it the easier it will be to guess who i will pass it to. There are a few people I'd rather not pass it to because of #raisens. This is a really hard game for me now. I almost wish I was regular so that I didn't have to worry about it lol I would have been a perfect prospect to pass it to in a regular game because people have a really hard time reading me especially early in the game... UGH. What to do what to do...... Ya'll don't make this easy

Questions for @Ironeyes @Hallia @Nynaeve @Wildfire Sedai

Pending N1 flips, who are your top 2 suspects atm?

Honestly no clue. Like none.

I did like Marsh quite a bit early on. And I feel pretty good about Zander.

I only managed to ISO dice and there wasnt anything that made me feel confident that he's town. His read of me feels kinda flimsy. He did speak on behalf of wifi some but it would be an easy content to dish out for idle talk.

Im feeling distrustful of tripped. Cant put my finger on why. Maybe unfamiliarity has something to do with it but I just cant bring myself to feel comfortable with her.

Clov seems ok. He hasnt done stuff that is out of his scum range but I feel more comfy with him compared to trip.

It seems bfg has been a subject of much musing but I havent had time to read her posts. With that said she's a fierce townie and a reluctant scum like me so if she has been turned off its a good place to look at.

Halli feels fine from the few posts I've seen but, again, havent fully read all of her posts.

AJ is pretty much always a woof... probability wise lol

i know you asked earlier about Tripped and I hadn’t answered yet. The read comes from familiarity for one, having played a handful of games with her now and seeing her work as town in all of them. This is basically it, the solvey ness. I know that leaves me open for one day getting dooped, but generally I believe even players that are really good at playing scum eventually start to crack because it’s hard to keep up that facade and presence for the long haul. Plus I’m pretty sure she’s dead before a lot of other people so I don’t feel like I really need to re-evaluate now
