FML, Had my iPhone crash during the iOS update to Beta2 then ran into a few issues from my office and some of our sister-offices but have my phone fixed and should be caught up on RL work for now.

 

Will try to get some the reads done tonight or tomorrow at latest giving us the weekend to figure out which players seem scummiest.  We need to catch a wolf soon since they are two deaths (three if you count the Symp) ahead of us ATM.

Noting Rey's comments, not sure if it means anything but since the scum got him last night figured it was worth a look.   We know he redirected day one's vote to Zander so could be that the wolves got scared of one of his reads or trains.  Bolded and colored the one here but am sure there will be more as I progress towards current in game time reads.

What is wrong about Laine's opening? It was a lighthearted way to start the game. To get to know the players she doesn't recognize.

What about Shad's comment makes you think it was a slip? It reads to me as liking another player's game so far, which is null.

 

This might seem a bit silly, but I don't really ever remember scum!Eldrick trying to discredit weak suspicions like this. He's not entirely aware as mafia of what the average town player would regard as a serious concern vs a trivial observation, and his scum game has never had much buddying to it either. More of a suss everyone and see what sticks approach, often peppered with TMI attempts to link towns to his scum mates. I really doubt he makes this post if he's w/w with Rey, and it's really not the sort of approach he takes as mafia in general.

I don't remember the movie terribly well to know if there'd be multiple ghosts that could be town, but don't you think mafia would have safe claims?

I said may be but, as I said before, still way back in the beginingish of day one and reads and thoughts have a long way to go to be caught up.  Should also note that my reads in the last game I played were way off though I also never caught up in that one because of so much spam that each day it grew a ton.  Liking how this game seems easier to catch up on and one of the reasons I said I'd sub in rather than stick on the side just reading as I was in between things.

 

 

Anyhow, home now so going to try and buckle down and try to catch up or at least break a nice chunk off to get as far as I can.

There are only the 2 prominent ghosts in the whole movie. The ghost at the beginning in the library that starts the whole thing, and the ghost they chase around the hotel and catch in the ballroom, kicking off their business.

 

Every other ghost is caught off screen and has no character to portray.

 

I looked Slimer up. He's the hotel ghost.

 

I'm the librarian ghost at the beginning.

 

I'm not expecting any more ghost claims, cuz there aren't any other ghosts TO claim.

Ohhhh I can't even articulate how much I hate this post! First of all, his reads were all serious. That's like me scum reading Cory because he doens't like sour cream or calling Zander a wolf because he has a beard.

You seriously didn't like my entrance because I wanted to know a little bit about players I've never talked to before? It was a conversation starter to see who you are and where you're at as far as experience with the game. I think that's a pretty legitimate way to get information about other players and get conversation going.

Secondly, nobody is scum until proven innocent. Because someone is only proven inno by coroner report or cop peek. That's it. Hence starting people at null and valuing their performance +/- from that point. I don't like starting anyone at scum, because they're much more likely to be town anyways. (Wolves are minority or something?)

About saying "town" too often: this is a general tell that isn't a tell and means nothing. Should be null for any alignment.

Lastly, saying "if there are multiple ghosts, one must be town and the other scum" is setting up lynches and is disgusting. You have no idea how the mod set up the game, you have no idea whether the characters are 100% of their alignment so basically the only reason you'd want to make this assumption is to push a lynch which is scummy and bad. (Rey points this out on #232 apparently, + for him)
