So I'm home from work and am trying to catch up while cooking dinner but for every post I read I feel like two more are added.

 

I've noticed, too that we're playing with parents - that's cool, I hope to still be playing Mafia when I've had children. Anyway. My apologies, Kiv, for being a Jets fan. :P

 

Anyway, so yeah. I'm still getting used to this forum and everyone, and these hydras are throwing my head for a whirl. But I'm also getting used to it. (At least this forum is only 20ppp.)

 

- I've noticed there's a lot of friendly small-talk and jokes here without a lot of agressive retorts. Some forums I've played at will take "jokes" very seriously and it's lame. So that's nice.

- Some players seem to like to comment on everything they can, which isn't alignment indicative, just a play-style. But I enjoy concise posts, more often than not I've found scum in long posts trying to steer thought.

- Cory is a pretty popular guy.

- Interesting back and forth between Kiv and keyholder a few pages ago? Like it's agressive but then apologetic? Kiv, why the removal so suddenly?

I am legitimately serious, however, about not liking the double standard Sili is laying down.  I placed a ventvote on AJ early in the game, never had the chance to move it off when the game actually got serious, but Hally took that as a scumtell despite my announcing in the signup thread, pre-role PM, that I was going to be doing just that.  That's weird enough, but Sili finding it scummy when Laine gets suspected for following through on a Lynch All Hydras early joke approach, but perfectly townie when Hally does the same thing on my follow through on a ventvote is really hard for me to grasp.

I have previously stated I do not have the requisite information to properly ascertain the likely-hood of either you or Laine flipping scum based on your approach to the game. I presume however Hallia has read more of the game than I have since she woke up. I do not think that is the case for Mish because Mish was very particular in her language. And to be clear, I do not like Laine's approach and probably never will, but I am looking for progression when I read her posts.

 

I did not call HAllia villagery. I did not call Laine scummy. The words I use are a lot more ambiguous because I feel ambiguously.

 

Furthermore a double standard is correct when you have two different people in two different situations. You apply different expectations in other words.

I'm not following the bold part of what you're arguing.  Are you saying that Mish hasn't gone through and read the game and that Hallia has?  Or are you implying that you didn't like Mish's response towards the lynch all hydras proposal?  Because that's the tone I'm picking up from you.

I'm also not sure where the content is in the game. It looks a lot like reasoning based off of knowledge of meta, which I have no knowledge of. Anyone want to tell me what I can do?

 

28 players, there's going to be a lot of past knowledge based-reads going on.  Take advantage of not knowing anyone to catch scummy things we're passively accepting as normal.

Wish - I can't find your post because I am now on mobile, but Zander has a mafiacrush on Laine. It started in a game a few months ago. I wasn't playing again yet, so idk much about the details of why. I just know them both outside the game and they are the same way haha.

Zander....talk to me.  I feel like you've been posting a ton, but I don't remember any stances/thoughts, and the only thing that jumps out when I ISO you is a post where you back seemingly encourage people voting Kiv and say that you don't have enough to vote him yourself.  That doesn't really follow to me.  Give me something I can work with.
