^Wants to kill townies

Tell me again why you trapped DT with that fake result only to see two scum hammer him and then you could not believe scum would pull such a move then you pied piper the town toward my lynch.

Great story.

One of my favorites.

Dice is town in this game.  If he were scum he wouldn't toss out any opinion that didn't fit the status quo generally.  I think BH looks odd, he tends to try and figure out what is going on in the fringes of games as town and here he is actively attempting to influence main issues without fully involving himself.

Still, I think Red is actually getting some traction so [v] Red [/v]

@Darthe. That's an interesting point. I like it when people comment on my meta, since i rarely feel like i have one aha. Its been ages since I've played proper games of mafia though and i literally cannot remember what i did in them haha.

Also did I completely miss a claim from Tommy? Can someone point me to around how far back that was so I dont have to slog through 75 pages please?

Cassie Lang smiled at the tiny action figure on the dresser next to her bed.  She made sure her night light was just bright enough for him to read to her, while not too bright so her mom wouldn't find out.

"Oh my, grandma," whispered the tiny man, wearing a blue and red spandex suit and bug-eyed mask with two tiny antennas, "what big eyes you have."  The tiny man lowered his voice, "the better to see you with, my dear."  Cassie giggled.  "Shhh," the tiny man cautioned, "not too loud, honey.  We don't want to wake mommy, now, do we?"

Suddenly, Cassie began to cough.  Not the "clear your throat" kind of cough, but the deep, junk in your lungs kind of cough.   The tiny man looked up at his daughter.  She's so beautiful, he thought.  Even with only the couple strands of hair she had left and the yellowish tint to her skin, she was his beautiful baby girl.  The breathing tubes across her nose, the feeding tubes pumping plasma through her body, and the electrodes constantly monitoring her vital signs, were her own super hero costume, he would always tell her.  She was just like daddy, he would say, only her super hero job was to fight cancer.  So far, it has been a tougher battle than either of them would like.

A knock on the door startled them both.  "Cassie?" asked the woman on the other side, "Cassie? Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, Mom," croaked Cassie, "just a cough.  I'm fine."  The door creeked open and in walked a tall, athletic woman with raven black hair, dressed in a sports bra and yoga pants.

"I know you are, sweety," she whispered as she sat down at the side of her bed, "its my job to make sure you are, remember?"  Cassie looked nervously at the opened book on her dresser drawer, and the action figure who had posed himself in a way to look like he was turning the page.  "Cassie, I told you no more stories after bedtime.  You can play with your imaginary hero friend tomorrow."  She closed the book and picked it up along with the tiny man.

"But mom," she cried, "he's not imaginary hes'-"

"Oh Cassie, we've been through this," the former Mrs. Peggy Lang sighed as she slid the book in between two others in Cassie's cedar bookshelf.  "You have quite an imagination, but the sooner you start dealing with reality, the better.  Peggy walked over to Cassie's toybox and lifted the lid.

"Mom," Cassie asked, "why don't you love daddy anymore?"  Peggy stiffened.  She looked down at the action figure she held in her hands.  She could almost see the very human face inside the obviously plastic visor that made up the bug-like helmet it was wearing.  It kinda looked like Scott.  She could understand why Cassie thought it was her daddy.  The shrink said she would likely displace her emotions onto inanimate objects like this.

Peggy turned towards Cassie, trying hard not to let her see the tears in her eyes.  "Because your father is a crook.  He's a petty thief and belongs in jail.  He abandoned us when we needed him the most."

"But Mom," cried Cassie, "maybe he didn't leave us.  Maybe he did those things you said because he was trying to help.  Maybe he..."

"Enough!" shouted Peggy, causing Cassie to gasp, and then begin to cough.  Peggy threw the action figure into the toy box and slammed the lid shut before rushing over to Cassie's side.  " Oh baby, I'm sorry!  I'm so so sooooo sorry!" Peggy patted Cassie on her back.  "I didn't mean to snap at you, sweetie.  It's just, your father made some bad choices.  He messed with some bad people and put us in danger."

"But he loves us," cried Cassie, "he told me he was gonna find a way to make me better."

Peggy sighed, "your father made a lot of promises, sweetie."  She kissed her on her forehead through her thin, straw-like hair.  "But promises are empty if they can't be filled."  Peggy Rae Lang rocked her daughter back and fourth, wiping tears from her eyes as she remembered better times.  Cassie waived at the tiny man who had climbed out of the toybox and was watching them from the window ledge.

Scott Lang took one last look at the family he once had, then turned and jumped down a rain gutter and slid to the ground.  Tapping a few buttons on his wrist, he returned to normal size and sprinted down the back ally.  He would find a cure.  He had to.  The big C had taken so many lives, but his daughter was different.  His work with Dr. Pym had been fate, kismet,....destiny.  Something had to....

ant-man.jpg

WHAM!!  Scott fell to the ground after colliding with a rather large, tattooed man with a thick beard.  Dusting himself off, Scott realized that he was surrounded by several scruffy looking hooligans.  A thin, spiky-blonde one with a leather jacket and twelve gauge ear pins stepped forward.  "Well look at this, boys," he chuckled, "Halloween cumz early this year, heh heh heh!"

The larger man picked up Scott and shoved him towards two others.  "The rude basterd didn't even bother to say excuse me! Huh huh"

Twelve gauge laughed, "Yeah, MeatHook, what's up with that?"  Twelve Gauge grabbed Scott by the collar and held him close to his face. "You owe Meathook an apology!"

"Heh," chuckled Scott, "you guys should try picking on someone, you're own size, ya know?"

"I don't think he's sorry, Meat" shouted a dark skinned hooligan with red sunglasses and corn rows.  Smiling with a gold tooth grill, he cackled, "You should teach him some manners, hah hah!"

"Yeah," growled Meathook, "Charm School is in session!"  Meathook swung his abnormally large fist towards Scott, but it was stopped in mid air by Scott.  Meathook screamed in agony as Scott's superior strength crushed every bone in his hand.

"I told you," said Scott, "that you should try picking on someone.....your OWN SIZE!"  The hooligans staggered backwards in amazement as Scott Lang grew from five feet to six feet.....seven feet.....eight feet.....ten feet....then fifteen feet tall!

"Holy chickenscratch," screamed Twelve Gauge, "It's frigggen Gypsy Danger or some shyte!  I gotta stop taking that smack!"

"BEGONE!!!" shouted Scott, and the hooligans obeyed, some of them needing to change their drawers when they got home.

When it was clear they were gone, Scott returned to his normal size.  That was when he saw a woman staggering down the ally towards him.  "You," she whispered in a thick Eastern European accent, "you are like us, no?"

There was a silver flash and then a man standing behind Scott whispered with a similar accent, "You are a good man.  We saw you with your little girl."  Scott jumped back, startled with how quickly the man had sneaked behind him.  No one has gotten the jump on him like that before.  Well....except those hooligans I guess....well...maybe....anyways, he was surprised.  "My sister has had....visions...." he continued, "the end of the world is coming"

Scott shook his head, "Oh....right," he chuckled, "yeah ok, lemme see if I have a couple bucks here."  He pulled out his wallet and unsnapped the Velcro.  The silver haired young man raised an eyebrow.  "What? Yes, Velcro, you got a problem with that?  It's retro!"

"No, you don't understand, please," the man continued, "we need your miracle.  You have miracle power, like us.  Wanda says we must find all of the other miracles so we can stop the evil.  We must stop the end of the world as we know it."

Not Voting: everyone else

It is still Day 1 of Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron Mafia, which will end Thursday, August 7th at 20:00pm EST or when a majority lynch has been achieved.  This is a hammer game so the moment a majority lynch has been reached, the day will end and I will post the results as soon as I am available to do so.  No additional votes or unvotes will be counted after the majority has been reached.

To vote, you must vote in the usual manner "[v ] VOTE [/v ]" and you must [unvote] before voting again.

With 24 players in the game, it will take 13 votes to reach a majority.  Failure to reach a majority by the deadline will result in a random player being lynched.

Vote Arsis

Seemed quickest to jump on my bandwagon with the least amount of reasoning imo

Soon as dayphase started and this is what we get?  You're the first vote, there is no bandwagon (And reading down the the bottom of the page, there was no bandwagon, well on you.  On Tommy though, is a different story.

Bandwagon as in popular choice/opinions not votes obviously.

Arsis, Tress, Tina, and a few others were chomping at the bit calling for me to be vigged.

You say you agree with them and include yourself in the group.

I think that fits the definition of a bandwagon.

Even if you want to argue the semantics of bandwagon my real point was the fact that Arsis was calling me scum with the least amount of reasoning that made sense to me. Unlike the others which put at least some effort into explaining what they didn't like about what I was saying his posts were just opportunistic.

I think I'm bored with the general idiocy going on ITT.  76 pages of nothingness and "bad vibes" as reasoning for votes do not work for me (when I choose to read said pages).  No real substance.

I claim Bodyguard.  Can we quote PM's still?

a bit of train analysis here based on my reads.  Dawn looks overly cautious in this game which is problematic because that's her scum MO and yet that conflicts with my neg read on Red who has been sitting on Dawn for a bit.  Regardless I find both of them suspect, I just don't think that they're likely wolves together.

BH is on Dice which I think is also a town/scum scenario, probably where Dice is the townie.  I don't see reasons to vote him and yet I've noticed people like Tommy (who btw, nobody in this game should be following) pushing him.

My train is frankly awful..  Most of the people voting me have been at one another at some point in this thread and don't have much consensus past "let's suddenly go here cause Darthe looks quiet".  I don't see substantial reasoning for me to be a train at all, much less the lead train, leading me to think that it is pretty heavily scum motivated with a couple of derpy/skimming town sort of going with the flow of the day.  I don't particularly care to fight it in lieu of how ungodly long the dawn phase was and how much affect it seems to be having on the way things play out so... sorry?  Ain't got time or interest in anything like that.  On that train I feel positive to negative about people in this order: NB, Vos, Nol, Dawn, Tommy

Tommy train on the other hand looks solid.  I have a firm town read on Rand and Dice and I have no clue about Tina who tends to be pretty objective as scum.  She could be sneaking in a bus vote if Tommy is scum (mainly me acknowledging her ability to blend rather than postulating about her alignment) or could have had substantial reasons for the vote that I didn't read.

I don't get the Tsuki train so much anymore but I like who is on it.  I sense that it doesn't have the force needed for those people to stay much longer in the day, especially with Tsuki being such a light presence in this thread since he began getting attention.

Red train R god tier train.  Hally looks more earnest than her scum game.  X always wears his alignment on his sleeves and is town here.

Don't care about the others save that they shouldn't still be around and are good places to hide this late in day.  Watch for a CFD from those slots onto a late train should it happen to be a townie that dies or some scum who gets obviously outted.

At the risk of getting called out - I got called in for a 14 hour in-field shift, then caught a nap, then had to go to anger management, and it is now 2 in the morning... will come at you tomorrow, if you want. Besides, I interact more when being actively engaged. Some people came at me, then parked their votes and moved on to other stuff.

Plain regular bodyguard? No flavor? No superhero nonsense which equates to bodyguard but is a super cool superhero version?

Am I allowed to agree with Arsis' tone, here? Because I couldn't sum up MY role in one word if you paid me...

Color me unimpressed by Darthe's "vote analysis-slash-defense".

"People on my train is either scum or derp town who is just doing this for no reason whatsoever and is just stupid". Seen Tommy pull the same crap as scum. Flinging dirt at your train won't make it go away.

Why shouldn't you be allowed to agree with Arsis' tone?

(I guess you agree with his point, not his tone, but thats semantics).

Not gonna lie I'm a little behind in this game, and I've been skimming a little.  I'll try to catch up and read thoroughly from now on, I'm on page 69.  But I have to do a bunch of other shtuff first in RL.

Speaking of role fishing. lol

Anyway, I´m beginning to get a town feeling for Arsis. I have never played with him before but I don´t think anyone would play this way as mafia.

The way Hally caught up makes me think she can be town but I found it odd that she choose some of those quotes over others. I wonder why she has a town feeling for Tommy.

I really wish more people could just state in a short post who they are suspicious of and why.

I had the same issue and was tacitly given a stick of gum and pointed to the kiddie table.

I'm not a staunch Lynch All Liars, but again I ask what was the purpose?? I'm drowning having to read through 250+ of his posts and not relegate him to distraction a go go.

No but you were calling me scummy.

That's pretty much the same thing.

If someone said they were going to shoot me you wouldn't object, right?

You're clearly in a camp that thinks I'm scummy and that's why you're included.
