[Advanced] Catching Fire mafia - Game over!

At the interviews before the games, it almost seemed like the nightmare could end. Each previous victor, now tribute again, riled the audience; some with tears, some with anger, some with logic. Katniss stunned the audience in her wedding gown, and stunned them again when that gown burned away and underneath it, a Mockinjay dress, complete with wings. Then, Peeta's smooth and brilliant lies, making the audience collapse in tears. It all ended with the tributes holding hands, a show of defiance to the president, while the audience were crying and screaming "Cancel the games!"

 

If only that had been enough.

 

It was the day of the games. Her stylist and friend Cinna, the mastermind behind the mockingjay-dress had accompanied her on the final trip, waiting with her, hugging her before she went to stand on the small metal platform that would rise up and bring her into the arena. As the glass closed around her, Peacekeepers flooded the room. The grabbed Cinna and started hitting him, leaving Katniss screaming in her glass tube. The Peacekeepers dragged Cinna out of the room, leaving a bloody trail on the floor, just as the platform started to rise.

 

Katniss is frantically blinking away tears, blinded by the sudden bright light. Water, all around her. The other tributes on other metal platforms, in a circle around the Cornucopia. Green lush forest behind that. Screams, grief over Cinna, threatens to take over, but she forces it down. Focus, here and now. The countdown is almost over. It's time to get ready.

 

Jumping into the water, swimming towards the Cornucopia. Running around the corner. Suddenly, Finnick stands before her. She's about to lounge at him, when he holds up his wrist. A golden bracelet, that belongs to Haymitch, her mentor. "I thought we agreed to be allies", Finnick smirked at her. "Come on, Peeta is this way. Watch out for the tributes from one and two; they've already ganged up."

 

They get ahold of Peeta and Mags, and make their way into the jungle. The cannon starts booming. Katniss counts, silently. Eight booms. That means sixteen left alive. And four of them was after her and her unsteady alliance.

 

 

 

Welcome, to the 75th Hunger Games!

 

Rules:

 

1. This game is run by Mish and Des. We are equal mods and what we say is the law. Do not try and game us.

2. This is a hammer game, meaning once a majority has been reached, it's a lynch, day over. There will be no penalty for no majority reached; game will simply continue into night.

3. There will be no editing of posts, no communication about the game except if we give you a QT, or in the PM's with us. Do not quote, screen cap, or in any way directly share your role PM with anyone. Paraphrasing is ok, lying about paraphrasing is ok. No PM-matching tactics.

4. Absolutley no character claims or district claims; this is a modkillable offence. Role claims are allowed.

5. To vote, please type "##Vote President Snow", and bold it. You must ##unvote before placing a new vote. Color it if you feel like.

6. There is a special clock mechanic that will have its own rules. Breaking any of the limits set on you by this mechanic, will result in punishment.

7. After you are dead, one "bah I'm dead, go team"-post is allowed. This post should contain absolutley no game information.

8. You may self-vote, and vote for no-lynch.

9. Days will be 72 hours and night 24 hours (except for D1. ) Please submit any NA's you might have in your role PM, unless you have a QT, then you may submit there. If you choose to holster, please inform the mods. All questions about the game or your role should go in your role PM so as not to flood our inboxes ;)

10. Rules may be subject to change or get added at any time; if so we will inform you!

11. Be active! We expect at least 1 game related post per RL day, or 3 per game day.

12. Play nice! No personal attacks, no cheap plays outside the spirit of the games. The mods can and will take it up in private if we feel like a player is crossing a line.

13. Any rule-breaking will result in a punshiment for your team.

Remember: This is an experimental game, and we can't promise full balanse, due to the clock mechanic. Also, there will be spoilers from the book/movie. For those that are unfamiliar with the source material, there is a wikia.

It felt like they had walked forever. They had found no water, and the tension was thick enough to cut with a knife. Katniss didn't trust Finnick, even if he had Haymitch' stamp of approval. But she stuck to Peeta, and Peeta had chosen to trust Finnick for now. And, more importantly right now; they desperatley needed water.

 

"I'll climb up that tree to see if I can spot a stream". She didn't wait for an answer, but clambered up. It was a tall tree; she could see the entire arena from the top. In the middle the Cornucopia. All around it water, perfectly round, and then the beach with thin strips of land connecting the little island to the beach, like the spokes in a wheel. She counted the wedges; 12. Curious.

 

 

In this game, you'll encounter the clock-mechanic of the arena. As you move through the jungle, you might stumble upon the wedge that has an active hour... And the effects are rarely pleasant. Unfortunatley, since you are most concerned with keeping safe from the other tributes, you don't really get to be picky with where you are going. So you'll simply have to accept the consequenses should you be so unlucky to be trapped in an active area.

 

Every 24 hours, the clock will change. What decides what hour it is? How many will be affected? That's for us to know, and you to wonder. You will get a PM detailing the effect if you get hit. Do not attempt to break the limits that is up on you; this will count as breaking a rule, and will be punished. A short scene will be posted every time the hour changes. You are free to talk about the mechanics and share if you have been trapped (unless otherwise stated in the PM you get).
