@Mish - I don't think anyone played wrongly or poorly. The role PM problem definitely threw everyone off kilter and I think several, if not all, people did a great job trying to get back to the game afterwards.

I honestly was trying to win with the town until LYLO. I was pretty sure Ishy was town, and went for the win.

 

I've done that before - I think I was a joker once, but I really wanted to play out the game, so I just played as VT. My plan was to try and get lynched eventually, but I think the mafia recruited me, if I remember correctly :D

I don't think it's necessary to criticize other people's play after the game. It's a game. It's supposed to be fun. During the game is one thing, but afterward? That doesn't sit well with me. 

 

It's still a game though, isn't it? I know in the previous game I played (the wreck-it ralph game) the banter kept on going for pages and pages (and pages). It's post-game analysis, and it's alot to be learned from it. It's all in the spirit of the game though, so not sure why everyone is so moody about it? Town played a shitty game, thats fact. Ish sabotaged his team. Fact. Mafia did a good job. It's all in the spirit of the game, so why not discuss it? 

 

And will the QTs be opened? Really curious to peek

I didn't know what else to do, I decided to change style but nothing came to me in the limited time. I could have stuck with my insticts and keep at Alanna, though I had not clue why. I was a hair

GF, considering you were the baker, I think your lurking playstyle probably actually paid off this time. It can be tough to switch up a playstyle you've kept with for a long time. One of the reasons I took a long break from mafia was because my "lurking" style was turning into plain inactivity, and I told myself I wasn't going to come back unless I was committed to trying a more active playstyle. I actually find it more fun to be more active, but it definitely doesn't come naturally to me. Probably because I'm a lurker in my RL too lol.

Says the man with what? A dozen posts before he got killed and did dick to help? And GF, who does nothing but post nonsense? And Turin, who's entire mafia career is tunneling me or Despo? Yeah, Town's loss is on me. Not on people who look to me to carry every team I'm on and seem surprised when I expect them to, you know, actually do some work themselves. Or mods who cripple us Day one. Or three players who break every rule in the game and play so far outside the spirit of the game it's laughable. Yep, none of that, it's me.

I didn't say that the loss was on you. Just that your D3 play was horrible and it was. If it was something other than "Come lynch me and get it over with", the game could have been a little different. Of course, it doesnt absolve what happened earlier, but it was part of the loss.

 

Also, I may have a dozen posts but most of it was on the point and also had a few mafia/3rd party pegged down. Could have been better, yes.

Well, now that the game is over, I can say that's pretty much what I was sure you were doing. I'm really surprised town never figured it out. Once you claimed survivor, with a mod-confirmed LYLO, I thought it seemed pretty obvious that a survivor would be most likely to vote someone they think is town at LYLO. I might have found that to be enough of a reasonable doubt to make me vote for someone other than Ishy, had I been town.

 

GG Lily. And WTG scum for pulling this one out, after the MKs I thought it was too stacked against us.

Sorry ive not been around guys. My net is completely gone afyer being shaky for days and my phone has died so it needs to be constantly on charge to use net .

I thought it would be easier than a complete reroll.

The lack of coroners was to "punish" the town more than the mafia as despo was really forced into tjat corner and could not of done anything else really. It meant the game could proceed, balance was kept as best we could, the wifom was largely removed from the remaining mafia (a coronered des woulda sunk a lot of them, and i was advised by mote than one mod to modkill all or end

im sorry to all involved but i did what i felt was best and the most fair to all teams (apolovies despo)

 

Im sorry the famine never became a thing. Pral would of starved but he was NKed and lylo happened before the rest of you needed to beg for bread

Thank you for the apology Dap, and as you I'm sure already know there's no hard feelings between me and you. I understand you were trying to do the most fair response, and you did so in a way that didn't hurt my team too much.
 
I am def perturbed that I was modkilled for the actions of another player however. Incidentally, I did nothing wrong here. Dap himself told me technically speaking quoting role pm's wasn't against the rules, just screenshots. I knew once the role pm discussion had gone that far I had no choice but to post the sample one Dap gave us in the scum QT. I wasn't modkilled for posting my pm, I was modkilled specifically because Yates and AJ pursued a line of inquiry that forced the mod's hand.
 
And yes, I do think we need more discussion on this topic. I started a thread here

Dap, I can agree with you on the lack of coroner reports, but I don't see how D1 would be LYLO from this. I think Des AND Aj were forced into the same corner, regardless of the fact the Aj was town. Had you MKed Yates BY HIMSELF and converted one of the VT players to a replacement doc, town would then be down two players at the end of D1 and still have the doc. That would then put scum at 4 out of 13 players, which would punish town without putting them in a situation that couldn't be overcome. (Unless scum would have still NKed the cop on N1, that is, which was just plain dumb luck.)
