Nice game. I think we got confused and spent a lot of time discussing the mechanics than scumhunting. Should have picked up Csarmi right when Tina blocked him. Well, that's hindsight. But yeah, a different game and different experience.

I don't know if recruiting roles can be balanced.  The whole game is based on analytical reasoning of previous actions and recruitment skews those reads.  I generally would rather not play in a recruitment game for that reason. 

I mostly agree.  An X-shot [like ONE TIME] recruitment would be on the table but nothing beyond that.

3 shot recruit in a game of this size is not really nerfed at all Ishy.

 

And I never said this game wasn't balanced CS, please don't put words in my mouth. I just disagree about there being a backup recruiter (and to a lesser extent about others getting to submit NK's and stuff). It wouldnt have mattered much for this game anyways, since we didn't lynch Ishy/CS, and didn't have a tracker or anything.

 

And if we HAD lynched Ishy early, its not like y'all wouldnt have had a chance had there been no backup recruiter. I've been in plenty of games where there was a designated NK role that died early, or didnt even have a NK or anything. Didn't prevent us from winning, just made it more challenging

Personally I don't like recruiting mechanics and if they exist I favor a 1 shot max. I've always said that and I stick by it. However, I do believe our mod did well with her setup and so I am not interested in knocking that at all. We should create a thread about what DM thinks of certain mechanics like this so that it doesn't come up every game.

Oh c'mon. You know if Ishy had been lynched and flipped as the recruiter, the next two people to be lynched/vig killed/cop viewed would have been myself and Key, not necessarily in that order. If nothing else, Mish would have known who he would pick.

 

Now if anyone else had been recruiting, it wouldn't have been as easy to predict. When I was cult leader in the KaeKey GoT game, I avoided recruiting Ishy (cuz I knew he haaaaaated cults) and picked people I expected to last late into the game to delay being detected.

True on all accounts.  While I am glad he wanted to be on a team with me, I probably would have avoided me or Tress if I were him.  Shouldn't choose the obvious *g*.

Well yeah, you're completely right of course in this instance. I meant more if a team lost it's Inquisitor, not in this specific instance necessarily. You're right, Ishy does always recruit his ladies. Not my fault he sets his team up for failure tho

 

And, had we lynched CS after he replaced in, we might not have thought about who Ishy recruited at first... just sayin

If by failure, you mean success, then yes.  Because we won .  And Ishy and I have never been beaten when we're on the same scum team *g*.  Though I wouldn't contribute this win to myself being on the team at all.  I was probably the weakest link lol.
