 The poke at Darthe was about his comment in the sign ups about how he'd eventually get a town role if he continued to enter games. I wasn't infering that he did, I was asking. I can see how my wording might have been a little confusing.

I made the case because I disliked Dap's stance on Vam's vote on Darthe, and his inconsistency with Chuckles posts regardig Darthe's crazy theory. I liked it more and more because Dap only later felt the need to place a vote on Vam and was urging the rest to get a train started. Happy? And no I haven't forgotten it and I don't even know where you have gotten that idea from.

If you were helpful Town - you would have simply told me this when I first asked - instead of being obstructive and telling me to go back and look myself.

 

Or you could have just read my case before being convinced that I'm mafia? I was about to have dinner then and I couldn't be bothered sry.

It's weak because you think I'm mafia because I'm being defensive, while people should know by now that I tend to be defensive as both mafia and town. It's a null tell.

So run up a train and it starts to become clear if you are cloud as town freaking out or mafia trapped

This pressure trend on DM is just dumb.  What is running up votes on him going to accomplish other than a claim of some sort?  Think the process through why don't you?

 

Possible outcomes of vote pressure:

 

Claims vanilla - everyone says its ok to lynch vanilla and said player gets lynched.  May or may not flip town but no info gained because there was only vote pressure.  Not discussion pressure.

 

Claims a role - Everyone backs off and runs up someone else to force a claim.  Now the scum team knows a roled player day 1.  How is this beneficial to town?

 

 

My point is if you are going to vote on a train...be specific with a real supported reason for your vote.  If you are town...stop being lazy.  If scum...well, carry on.

 

 

TLDR version.  There is no good info gleamed from run ups for the sake of pressure without discussion and interaction.

  

However it gives info from voting patterns (especially with competing trains)

I agree it's not the best but its a step in the right direction for DM meta

Right now Turin is pinging me. His whole thing against Peace is that he "doesn't seem to consider a Cloud lynch", which is very poor reasoning. Hallia's vote WAS lazy and bqndwagonish, and her stating her vote was for "pressure" is even worse.
