turin would you get told your action failed if you were blocked or i was like jailed? or would it say something a bit different?

 

I now have a toss up going in my head....did Despo kill Darthe before he could case him or did mafia do it to spread wifom on us re Despo or did despo the mafioso count on us believing he was too experienced to do something that obvious? I must admit i am leaning towards despo being town after that. But i will still be wary in case its the third option.

I'm actually thinking Turin's NA might have been blocked since he did soft claim an investigative role. This means we still have wifom about Dice, since if the NA was blocked Turin most likely wouldn't have died even if Dice was scum.

 

@Dice: Yeah, I suspect that whoever killed Darthe was attempting to set up a noob frame job on me, I was waiting to see who would try to jump on that first. Funny that you were the first to comment on it.

The MOD did not tell me I was blocked only that my action failed. I have requested clarification but have not heard back yet. I may get PAFO.

 

I am thinking that I was not blocked however.

 

Further we still have not had a cc on Dice's claim of Bombur. I am still leaning toward him being town.

I was going to say I was still undecided about Dice, but honestly I agree that at this point, without a CC Dice is mosty likely Bombur, and I don't see it as being a safe claim provided by the mod since Bombur is used basically as the book's comic relief for most of it, he actually gets a lot of screen time relative to the other dwarves. I'm not as sure as you are that every dwarf will be in the game, even in a game of this size (The Hobbit introduces a LOT of characters, like any Tolkien story), but I def see Bombur being in it. So I'm leaning more town towards him as well at this point, barring a late CC from one of the stragglers that still hasn't checked in since thanksgiving (and there are still a few).

 

Turin, what makes you think you weren't blocked? From the way you made it sound, your role would either masonize your target if they could be masonized, fail if they couldn't be masonized but were still town, or that you would die if your target was anti-town. I agree with your logic that you can probably masonize other dwarves, so if Dice is a claimed dwarf, it seems like the action should have succeeded, unless he is a LLL or you were blocked

But I've seen this song and dance before, and I know nothing I say will convince everyone of that fact. So at least you can know from my flip that there is a Framer or a Redirector type role or something. Something else that could be possible is that Roo isn't a 100% reliable cop, as Turin claimed a sort of investigative type role, I am a role cop, and the person I viewed last night has an investigative type role as well. That many investigative roles for town is incredibly overpowered unless there are some limitations amongst them.

 

Obviously I won't reveal who I viewed last night, but once again I hope everyone is able to learn a lot from my death. Cheerio.

As for Turin, his claim sounds reasonable. Though it makes more sense that you tried to recruit (masonize, whatever) a townie who couldn't be recruited than that you were blocked. Maybe only certain dwarves can be recruited?
