Hmm...that is a way of looking at it that I hadn't really thought of...to me it just seemed more a clarification that there are good guys and there are bad guys. As opposed to faction games, where it's "every faction for itself" and there is no distinct enmity between one group or another, or something similar to that.

 

Basically, I personally don't see "this is a Town against Mafia game" as the same thing as "there is no cult, period." I don't want to say there definitely is one until we see some sort of evidence to support it, but I don't want to try and squeeze meaning that isn't explicitly stated out of a Mod's statement in the rules post, either.

 

Best to be prepared for anything, really.

Ping Pong? I think you are playing the wrong game Red. Also double skimming may not be such a good idea in this game. It has been firmly established that the rules do not require bold redness to count, this was remarked upon earlier in the game. The pirate also confirmed that he was not going to be finickity about that kind of thing, because life it to short and he is more than able to read words.

 

To remark upon it now as a job well done, is a little odd to say the least. Plus - you barely managed to string two sentences together - perhaps you are being mind controlled by the Wombat? Closed-mouthness is more his style.

 

at the time of Verb's vote, Wes hand't clarified the votign rules. honestly, pretty much all games here at DM your vote must be bolded and colored to count. i've seen people "forget" to color their vote as a manipulative tactic and thats what i think Verb is doing.

Thank you Meesh. I believe I mentioned earlier that I hoped to start the fashion of SteamPunk Spam. Where all posts are written in a gramaticallty correct and interesting, perhaps even intriguing way. I am English after all, and pseudo victoriana is like a native tongue to me.

 

As day approaches I feel I must continue with my usual tradition of who is making me feel uncomfortable.

 

1. Despothera. His posts are short and uninformative. He wishes us to discount the fact that the Mafia are the automatons (given the opening scene describing Mr Monacle as one this seems like diversion and distraction from one usually so aware. Also he should know, that the level of delight I have been experiencing in this game is high and I may never forgive him if he asks his team to NK me night 1. This would be something he would do for ironic humour.

 

It has been said that I have defended him too strongly. I believe I called him an idiot and later said he was just making a lot of noise. If this is a great defence - remind me to never engage any of you as my Lawyer should I ever require legal assisstance.

 

2. Songstress. I had just voted on her and made her train the longest when day was ended. My reasons were that I didn't know her so didn't know what we would lose if she was lynched. She is also conversing in a manner that portrays great familiarity with all of us and the game. This troubles me.

Back to game thoughts, @Ithi: I'm not the only one who thought that cult could be possible, and it really wouldn't surprise me in a game like this. Anyways, it's kind of dumb guessing at what we might have, we'll not know for sure until morning, and even then will most likely be surprised at how different the game mechanics might be in this game.
