That's one thing I could never pin down. I've gotten lynched for bein too active and I've gotten lynched for not being active enough lol. Ultimately it comes down to how well you can argue and how convincing you are. There any lawyers on DM? lol They would pawn these things :D

Thats actually an even worse excuse. There are people here who have posted as little as I have, but they're not being pointed out. Danya the deal is you showed up just hours before the end of day. If you aren't up to playing the game then ask to have someone replace you. Don't give crappy excuses and expect us all to buy it. I don't for a minute. I have played mafia with you before. I know there are some who are not being as active. Oh, and the time difference, Ed is in Korea, so not buying that one. I will give you the due in 4 weeks deal, but then again, why did you sign up if you aren't up to playing. There are back-ups.

 

All I am saying is we all have to be careful. We had a lot of time go by and hardly any content. We should be up to about 10 pages by now and it just seems that people aren't participating. We need more participation from everyone. I am really sick and I am still playing. Then again I have to try to sit up every no and then. I can't take any of my meds. and I think that is what is killing me more then the throwing everything up. Doesn't help hubby is still gone on a fire. Okay, pity party done.

Mil I hope you feel better. Oh, and yes it is a catch 22 with the activity thing. It also depends on who you play with. It is the you are scum because and once accused it seems like people, especially the mafia latch on to it.

 

Random mod kills just plan piss me off, so that is why I am so upset. I would rather us lynch an innocent ourselves then do that. Because in the voting we can get information on who might be scum. It is detective work that way.

While I think it's suspicious that Danya showed up so soon, I'm mostly satisfied with the reasons she gave for her inactivity.

 

But I am suspicious of the sequence of wolfy-ed-min ganging up on Danya in sequence like they did. And if we think there's 3 scum, well then.

I merely noticed that she hadn't checked in. Being so close to the deadline and not hearing a single peep from her was suspicious, hence the reasoning for my vote. I would have preferred lynching an inactive rather than having a townie randomly killed. Ill also say that I had no idea whatsoever about Danya being 4 weeks due. Like you, I am satisfied with her excuse and understand now if she can't be as active as most of us. But had I known that at the start of the game, or over the course of Day 1, I wouldnt have voted her.

Did you read my reasoning? We had 7 full days of game play. That is a whole week she could have come to play. I know she came and explained herself later, but at the time she hadn't. To me that is fishy. Especially since she was on DM in those 7 days. So, yes I jumped on a vote for her. I don't like it when people ignore games or when they are active on DM and don't bother to participate. If you can't play then don't sign up or ask for a replacement. That is why I voted and that is why I was up in her face about it. I understand her reasons and there have been times I have not signed into a game until there was a day of game play, but 7 days. Sorry, but that is just no fair to the game. That also goes for the other inactives. If you don't play expect to get lynched unless you go on an LoA and let us know.

 

Okay, because I feel so sick I may be coming across a little more pissy then I intend. Danya it is not personal. I am just making a mafia game point. So, if your baby is born on July 13th it will share a birthday with my youngest. He turns 21 this year. I was on bed rest for 4 months with him. He was worth all the trouble.

 

 

So, now that we have gotten past day one, we need to think about what Day 2 will bring. I don't want a let's lynch Danya just because of day one. We need to get scum and as upset I am about loosing an innocent I really want to get some scum. I am not scum, however I never know about Ed. I will be honest I can never get a good read on him in games. Besides the Danya voting does anyone have any suspects?

It's just, I'm surprised you find it that unusual. I have seen many times, players not realizing a game has started until quite late into Day 1. MCS showed up nearly at the deadline in my Aiel game because he'd missed the PM somehow and wasn't checking back constantly. He, too, had been active elsewhere on DM - just didn't realize the game had started. It happens, a lot, and I'm surprised you've never seen that happen before.

I have seen it before. It is just she very conveniently showed up just before the end of the day. I don't think you gave us 7 full days for day one either. That is what got to me was that a week went by. I can understand a few days, but a week. Hard to comprehend. Besides I have seen Danya play scum before and it is one of her ploys to be inactive and try to fly under the radar. Granted she is usually not as active as most, but still could have been a ploy. Now since she explained I am better with it, but at the time it was just very suspicious.
