And I want to know why people think I'm a total idiot. I have been defending Marta and Ed only by saying their behavior has been straight for what they normally do, and saying I actually understand Ed. Forgive me for understandind someone I talk to on a regular basis. I'm not an idiot. If I were scum I wouldn't even talk to my teammates on thread.

Mynd, I didn't know you had a reputation so my suspicions of you couldn't be based on that.  At first I didn't think much about it, but you keep talking about Ed's spam (which is annoying sometimes, Love you Ed), but by repeating it over and over, you are basically spamming yourself.  I don't know what to think of Al's apparent inactivity, I just know it's not like him.  That's why I'm so willing to go with lynching him.

Adella, no one said you're an idiot, though perhaps that's what you think people are saying since they're claiming you're doing something you feel you're too smart to do.  It really doesn't have to be personal, part of what's made me suspicious, at least, is not so much the defending itself but how touchy you've been about it.  Maybe that's normal for you, I know I've gotten emotional in games before, but not knowing for sure...that at least for me is the main cause of my suspicion.  It's good not to underestimate mafia, but it's also good not to overestimate them, too. Thinking someone isn't scum just because they're displaying emotion is one way of overestimating; when it comes down to it the people who are mafioso are human too and it's always possible for someone to lose it.

 

Just saying--I don't think you're stupid at all.  Just don't let Mynd get under your skin, I think that's a big part of why Mynd even listed you as a lynch candidate.

Ha thanks Meesh. I guess I just really don't like how Mynd is trying to lead us all. I just saw Kivam do it and he was scum with reasoning on his side. Makes me put my back up.

 

Btw I wasn't really getting upset or mad I just word things without thinking if they could be taken as angry or not.

I played a game as the Mafia Godfather, with both Kivam and Myndrunner in it.  I believe Mynd was innocent, Kivam was actually a Cult leader... That was, to say the least, an interesting game.  (Epic Mafia--WoT on MJ, for those of you who played in it or followed along)

 

They both talked a lot. ;D

 

But I do see what you're saying.  Probably it's not bothering me quite so much because I'm determined to be a little more laid-back in this game than I've been in a few past games, and because I haven't been singled out at all for Mynd's aggressive questioning tactics. :D

 

Good to know you weren't really upset. :) Unfortunately all-text mediums make inflection difficult to capture, so yeah I assumed you were upset; that's the way I would've said something if I was upset.  (it's why I use smileys, to try and make my meanings clearer because I had a bad run-in with misinterpretation of my posts once >.<)

In the interest of a majority, rather than a random (or something worse, since Tayla said PAFO) I'll switch my vote from Ed to Al Jenn. It is suspicious he has yet to post anything. Has he posted elsewhere on DM in the meantime? I'm still suspicious of Ed :)

Adella, I may not know Ed as well as you do, but I've played mafia with him enough to be able to metagame him to some degree.  The spamminess and the doggedness are normal for him, but I don't think the blatant scumminess and obstructionism are.

 

As for where to go, I would like to go whichever way takes us away from ornery Old Man Willow and that unbearable Tom Bombadil.  I don't know which way that is though, and I'm too lazy to look it up in the book.  I guess I'll go [glow=blue,2,300]right[/glow] with Lia because I also don't want to be caged by convention.  Also, the buddy system is a good idea imo.

So people are starting to jump on Al Jenn's bandwagon? I personally don't know him or his playstyle that well. But due to prior posts, it does seem uncharacteristic according to some.

Lurking is reading without posting anything useful? I would have to say I AM guilty of Lurking TMD, but only due to the fact that I really can't take anything out of the current posts more that others already have. Sorry, I'll try to make more informative posts in the future.  ;)

Ed - Spam once for good measure.  Spam twice for fun.  Spam three times for attention.  Spam as much as Ed2funy, and it becomes a mafia tactic.  First, if you can't post something helpful, don't post anything at all.  All his posts have been, with the exception of the avalanche of BS post he made, aimed at either distracting us from the game or attempting to discredit those asking him questions.  Look again at his BS post, the one where he supposedly finally contributed to the game.  Did he really answer my questions?  Did he really defend himself?  Or was he just "appearing" to without any substance?  Ed2Funy is making a Chewbacca defense and it seems to be working, especially on....

I am willing to change my vote for the sake of getting a majority, but I suggest we focus on one of the above (except me of course).  If you all are worried what I am capable of as mafia, then what do you imagine is going through the minds of the mafia right now knowing I am innocent?
