Barm is up to something i just don't know what. I honestly think he has come out all guns blazing to cover something, but it could just as easily (and in some ways more logically) be a powerful town role. I may be off but i will be very surprised if Barm is something innocuous like, say, the Tree stump.

 

Didn't see any reason for FDM to request someone "find" her - double bluff is my gut feeling, but heck this is day 1 so no knowledge for sure.

 

Oh and the one role that jumps out to me from your list Alys is Traitor - given the nature of the game, it seems a purpose built role. So i'd be a little suspicious of anyone you are allowed to communicate off thread with.

 

(ok just seen 3 posts above - see Double Bluff. FDM really wants to get to night alive, may be true re. innocence, or maybe presuming the finder won't check on her for precisely the reason she volunteered. What's more, the comment remains logged in the memory and we presume however subconciously that she has been found. I may have attempted to use it before)

I definately don't see FDM as innocent. I still think it could be bluff, double bluff, "no way this could be the gambit" gambit as possible. But until there is more, at least say that you are voting because she is able to pull of something like that.

 

That said, Barms is definately doing something but he is just as likely to be scum as he is town. So nothing he said is able to be held against anyone without more info to show him one alignment or the other.

 

I am not writing either of these off as innocent or probable innocent. But when you come in blazing the way you did, Dae, it's a big problem. Rule one. Don't trust anyone.

 

Traitor is a purpose built role. It can suddenly change the numbers in one favor or the other. And you don't always get off thread communication. When I had it ages ago, I couldn't communicate with anyone. But end game I noted the numbers had just failed, the last lynch vote on an innocent was in, and I flipped because if I was going to win, that's what I had to do. No prior planning except to do what I could for those I was aligned to.

There really wasn't a reason. We were still in Day 1 spam phase, so I was still in joking mode. This is the first game Alys and I have played in together in well over a year. I didn't actually think anyone would take me seriously. :P

 

As for Barm being unusually loud, it doesn't bother me at this point, since there isn't anything we can do about it, except to lynch him. And if we don't lynch him because we want to see what his unusual behavior is about, well...then the entire concept is working out for him, eh? :P

 

I would like to see the rest of the members playing post, since the game thread has been up for just about 24 hours. :)

Well, I think it's unfair not given us their mother's maiden name...that could tell us a lot... ;)

 

I think Pete is trying to get himself lynched. inj another game where he is number 11 he voted for himself and then took it off saying he was innocent. So here he hasn't done that, so I would say that was his game he sent into Wes. Maybe night kill him instead, just to ruin his day, lol.

 

I have to agree Dae, that wasn't the best of reasons to vote for someone. Not that there are any good reasons at the moment!

I'm not 100% convinced of anyone's guilt yet, though there are suspicions lurking in my mind. I'll be watching, very closely, and posting my gut feelings for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure as it may be). :)

I believe, Alys, that Dae had the same thoughts I did as far as Far's "please view me" thing.  I take everything, as Verb would say, with a bucket of salt.  She may have said it "in jest" to you about how you two always play together.. but she said it none the less.  You talk of not trusting anyone.  I don't.  I don't trust that her only motive in saying that was a jest at you.  

 

You come back with a OMGUS vote to defend Far when her post WAS rather suspicious and odd.  You don't trust anyone but you believe Far when she said that post was merely a spammy joke toying with an old buddy post.  Right.

I think the one DPR is referring to is the scum variant as he included a psychiatrist in the list too.  Also, the traitor seems like a variation of a symp to me.

 

FDM's request is just odd.  It's not something I think a pro-town player should do but then again it is extremely risky for a mafia player.  I don't know FDM's style so I have no idea whether she would take that risk here.  It's possible she actually meant what she said and we are simply reading too much into it.  Far and Alys seem to be on the same wavelength, which I take it is odd as well.  Maybe they are pulling an anti-Kivam :D
