I think personally that it makes you sound like scumbuddies with Locke, and makes me more likely to give Elli a break, even though I think she's probably scum too.

I don't think we should worry about who we lynch the next day until we decide who to lynch now.  It's probably LyLo so this decision right now could mean the game.  We need to get it right.  I think LedZepMan is mafia so I'm not sure what his vote for Locke and subsequent appeal to give the youngin a break mean.  I also think Elli is mafia but i don't know what to make of LZM apparently trying to bus her.  For now my vote is on Locke who I obviously also think is mafia.

And how often do you actively help your team win the game, with your metagaming?  Solid support is more helpful than metagaming; both in combination are often pretty strong, but this late in the game a vote based purely on metagaming is weak and unhelpful.

 

Also, I wasn't trying to stop the hammer on Locke.  I said, "I'd like to hear his answer but at the same time I'm pretty convinced he's scum so it doesn't really matter in the end."

You're acting like you're grasping at reasons not to lynch Locke.

He didn't give a reason for his vote on Locke, and he's trying to find reasons not to lynch him, so I'm betting he's bandwagoning so as not to seem like he's on the same team as Locke, while trying to give us an alternate choice that might keep Locke from being lynched.

While I think Elli is likely to be scum, Zep metagaming and throwing her at us makes me wonder if she really is.  Right now, I think Locke is our best shot though.  Too much is lining up in favor of his being scum.

One way to go down fighting is to prove yourself helpful to the town.  Even if you're all but lynched, you can still scum hunt and actively try and help the townies by offering thoughts and commenting on the thoughts of others.

A big way of helping is voting and explaining why you're voting for who you're voting for.  You seem to like withholding your vote; you'll give suspicions when prompted but won't commit to anyone.  That is a huge scumtell, it really is.  It's not foolproof, but it is a pretty good indicator of someone who's not town.

Thanks for the advice, though.  I'll remember that in future games. (should I play them)  A lot of it is actually just my personality which greatly determines how I play.

I have no clue. no one is pinging my scumdar since rey and al jenn look like a mason group. I voted with the locke wagon because frankly, i got nothin. then i see pale and you both say you think elli is scum, which, to be honest, i pretty much forgot she was in the game. And it clicked. it feels right.

I wasn't trying to stall it either.  Can't I even comment on the fact that I'd like to have my questions answered, but don't particularly care if I get to or not?  For the final time, I said "I'd like to hear what he has to say BUT I'm pretty sure he's scum so IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER EITHER WAY." Get it now? Not stalling.  Just commenting.  I do that.  I talk a lot, if you hadn't noticed.  Basically my comment was an expression of the fact that I really really really hope we lynch right today.  I'm as sure as I'm ever going to be, but I'm not 100% sure and so I'm going to worry a little.  Doesn't mean I don't want him to get lynched though.

 

Zep.  I have voted when I had nothing but a hunch to go on but not at LyLo in a game that everyone cared about.  The only time I led a lynch on just a hunch when we were basically at LyLo was in the SG Halloween game, that had been dragging on forever and no one really cared about it anymore.  Other than that, I try and find proof that my hunches are correct before going on them.  On Day 1 in the Heroes game I led a lynch on you based on nothing more than your "symp" slip but it was Day 1, it wasn't like we were going to lose if we lynched wrong, and no one else had anything better to go on.

 

This situation is so much different.  We have lost SO many innocents and NO scum.  If we don't lynch scum today we're DEAD.  Get it?  A hunch is NOT okay by itself THIS LATE IN THE GAME.  If it was Day 1 I wouldn't care, okay?  But it's not.  This is it.  This is the decision that either loses the game for the Town or gives us a fighting chance.

 

And I keep emphasizing that because you don't seem to get it.  If we lynch Locke and he's innocent, there probably won't BE a tomorrow for you to go after Elli.  Stop treating it so casually.  If you honestly disagree with the rest of us on Locke then say something.  We can't afford someone to half-ass this game.  If you're Townie, then I'm getting pissed at how little you really care about the game.

I do think Elli is scum; the reason I didn't answer your question about her was because we've already discussed Elli.  Why do I want to repeat something you should've already read?  The reason I found it weird that you wanted to switch to Elli was because we had been discussing her and it seemed convenient that you'd choose her to throw at us to get us off of Locke.  Like you figured we'd latch onto her, since we were already suspicious.

If you missed our discussion on Elli, I'm sorry, I didn't know you missed it and now that I do, your actions don't seem quite as suspicious.  No need to freak out.  I was laboring under the impression that you'd read the entire thread.

Meesh again I'm going to say you seem to 'clever' ;p. Your logic is sound and I agree with your reasoning, but you seem really good at this game and it just makes me feel... insecure. But for now I trust you.

 

I'm currently leaning towards 3 mafia. With them having a Godfather and roleblocker. However who knows, I think it is a safer assumption to go with the fact that there is 4 like you said earlier Meesh.

 

As for Ellie. She needs to post, simple as that. I won't vote to lynch her until she does some posting because I did learn something from when we lynched Chrono for 'lurking' which turned out to be inactivity.

 

I'm going to go through this and prior to page 40 drag up all the posts from Wolfie, Ellie, Locke, and Meer. Just because total they might have had 10 posts. I tried the search function and that failed, I was hoping I could be lazy but apparently I can't be :(.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Sorry it's one of my pet peeves. Just because you were role blocked or your ability has been hindered doesn't mean that you are useless. Even vanilla townies are helpful in trying to find mafia so cheer up and help us evaluate! Another thing you have going for you is you are an unchallenged finder which makes it highly likely you're townie. At least it gives us good reason to believe you. The reason I'm saying all this is because many of your posts have been... poorly constructed. We are starting to become more suspicious of you and I still want to believe you've been telling the truth.

 

Last night the Mafia might have tried to random block to get at who they thought the healer was or... I don't know why you weren't blocked. They may just want to make us suspicious of you, or you might just be lying. I find that unlikely that the mafia planed this gambit since day 1 and haven't been contested but I'm getting more suspicious. I would recommend Ellie but I please pick someone who hasn't posted much. I would love to know Meesh is clean, but that would just be for comfort instead of good reasoning.

 

I would like to hear more from those three; elli, meer, and led tonight/tomorrow. Until then I'm going to go back through these 50 pages of gruesome deaths.

Rey, I kind of get the same off feeling about Lily as you seem to be getting, but I guess we can investigate that later if we get the chance.

Pretty sound reasoning, Al Jenn, and I totally understand your feeling of insecurity.  It's perfectly logical and pretty smart, too.  You should never totally trust anyone in a mafia game, ever.  Put suspicion on the back burner sometimes, maybe (like if you're in a mason group or something like that, or with a mod-confirmed innocent or a finder-confirmed innocent), but never let go of it completely.

 

I hope there are 3 mafia, too, but like you said, better safe than sorry.  I'd rather treat today like LyLo and find out it wasn't, than assume that today ISN'T LyLo and find out that it was.
