There's a lot of Wheel of Time that I don't like, think is utterly stupid, or outright dull.  However, every now and then comes along a Really Awesome Scene.  I just felt like sharing them.

 

I think the scene surrounding Rand and Nynaeve while they cleanse the taint to be really awesome.  All the channeling and open fighting between the two scenes.

 

I think the scene where Mat takes control of the original Band of the Red Hand troops to be really awesome.

 

I think the scene where Rand and Min go to talk to the rebels outside of Cairhein, Rand is hurt and has to be carried back to Cairhein to be really awesome.

 

I think the fighting at the end of The Eye of the World at the Green Man's place to be really awesome.

 

I think when Moiraine kills Lanfear is a really awesome scene.

 

I'm sure there are more really awesome scenes out there but I can't think of any at the moment.  Are there any you can think of?

I have, as most, always really loved the Dumai`s wells scene, including the "kneel, or be knelt" part.

Apart from that:

I always loved all of Matt`s battles.

Perring becoming Wolfbrother

Perrin saving Two Rivers

anything involving Shagar Logoth, and especially the clensing.

Battle of the eye/Tarwins Gap/DOs lair

The battles against Sanchean (Falme and Illian border.)

Nyn healing what cant be healed

Trolloc battle at the Tairen mansion

Matt Vs Gholam

Taim meets Rand & Bashere

Moiraine Vs Lanfear

Fain escapes dungeons

 

Alot more. Too many of them to remember them.

The Eye of the World

  • Moiraine's speech about Manetheren to the Two Rivers folk.
  • Moiraine explaining why Rand channeled for the first time and 'The Dragon is Reborn!' at the end.

 

The Great Hunt

  • Rand resisting the sa'angreal statue in Cairhien.

  • Perrin rescuing Faile

  • Rand putting the Aes Sedai in Caemlyn in their place when they try to frighten him.

  • Kneel, or you will be knelt!

 

Crown of Swords

  • Mat.  Just... Mat.

 

Path of Daggers

  • Mat.  Just... Mat.
  • Tuon.

 

Winter's Heart

  • Mat.  Tuon.
  • Cleansing Saidin.

 

Crossroads of Twilight

  • Mat.  Tuon.

 

Knife of Dreams

  • Again, Mat.  Tuon.
  • Perrin FINALLY rescuing Faile.
  • Charge of Charlz Guyon.

Oh and when Mat was tainted by the dagger and he starts "verbally stabbing everyone" in the attic of the *Queens Blessing*

 

And every scene with Mat is amazing. I really like Mat and Rand together in the SR. They have lots of those "boyish smiles" and there friendship is very evident. (Even when Mat is trying to get to the other side of the planet!)

 

When Rand stilled those Aes Sedai When he was captured. To bad he didnt kill them though. Stilling is good enough I guess...

 

Perrin coming back to the Two Rivers and taking charge.

 

Mats Battle with the Myddraal in the waste, After he was "cuddling" with the Maiden. (I think a dragkhar went to kill rand and Avi burned it all up)

 

All of Lews Therin rants!!!

And when Mat spanked the Aes Sedai!

-When Kadere kills the female dark friend reminicing about his sister (forget her name Isandere?)

-Mordeth in shadarlogoth

- (for pure visual coolness, as if it was a movie)when egwene makes a whole crystal castle out of nothing in the dream world

Don't think anyone mentioned one of the best...the Golden Craine flies again...Lan marches to Tarmon gaidon, will he march alone?

 

Egwene traveling to Salidar

 

Rand putting down Fedwin Morr or whichever one went crazy

I really enjoy the scene in Ebou Dar where Elayne and Nynaeve manipulate Mat into ta'veren-ing the Sea Folk into submission.

 

...I don't remember this at all.

 

Man, my memory of the latter books is so vague.

Too many awesome scenes to mention, but I love the last 2 chapters of Knife of Dreams - Under an Oak and Prince of the Ravens.

 

When Karede makes his "mad gamble" only to have Tuon announce that Matt Bloody Cauthon is her husband is simply an awesome scene.

 

In Price of the Ravens after defeating the army who was looking to kill Tuon, Matt told Musenge that he can call him Matt after fighting together in the battle to which a shocked Musenge stated that once he married the Daughter of the Nine Moons, he became Price of the Ravens and it would lower his eyes forever to speak Matt's name. Now Matt "I am not a bloody lord" Cauthon is higher than a lord, he is husband to the Empress. That scene was brilliant.

Everyone has mentioned some really great ones. I will just list my top 3.

 

1. Dumai Wells- Just pure awesome

 

2. Mats fight with Galad and Gawayn- Excellent fight, he kicks their cocky butts and then all the girls are mad at him. Classic.

 

3. Nynaeve's Malkier speech in the borderlands- That was by far the most moving passage in the whole series.
