  1. Just for clarification, do you mean you felt that she was never in danger of being raped, or that you don't know which DEFCON setting is highest? It means that I don't know which is highest........well I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now. Thanks Ares.
  2. To make reading Sansa's POV chapters more fun, I used a mental rape-o-meter to gauge her situation. Between Joffery, Cleagan, Tyrion, and Little Fingle, the thing was on defcon 5 nearly the whole time.
  3. I heard it was terrible and had no direction. My friend said that it's plot was complex for purpose of being complex and had a bad ending.
  4. I read the first 3 of Bakker's Prince of nothing after Mr. Ares suggestion. Wow. Just wow. You need to be in the right mind set for these books. They can get pretty difficult to read sometimes (tons of content), and are the most repulsive things I've ever read. That being said, I loved them. They break every single fantasy archetype there is. And they do it well. Highly recommended. warning: there is much more rape and torture in any one of these books than all of Goodkind's novels put together. Be prepared. you have be warned.
  5. Slogging through Dune. For the best fantasy of all time (arguable), I don't find it that enjoyable of a read. Also, the Illuminatus trilogoy. Erf, it is a very hard read.
  6. I don't think so. There would be exercises that you could do while practicing to strengthen it, though. They exist. "Watch secret weapons for the modern drummer" By Jojo Meyer.
  7. Classics aren't necessarily good. Case and point: The Scarlet Letter. Just thinking about the first page about the gray grayness of the door, the door that is grey. Grey the color of the door which is grey. Makes me shudder.
  8. -American Gods -Why We Lie -The Art of War -The Prince -Rapture of the Geeks -Warbreaker -The Lies of Locke Lamora -Neuromancer -The sword of Shannara
  9. Just finished warbreaker. Amazing book. I loved every chapter of it.
  10. I was looking to read that, but my local borders only has hard copy which is like 30-ish bucks. Erf.
  11. I'm trying to be complimentary lately. I told a girl that I liked her pants (they we banana yellow) she thought I was hitting on her and walked away.....why am I such a creeper!!
  12. I try to do this. But everyone thought I was a creeper.
  13. Ah, kind of. So far it only helps me realize how bad everyone is with dealing with everyone else.
  14. I just hit the half way point of "how to win friends and influence people"
