Original Setup -

Town Cop

Commuter

Town JOAT (variation) with 1x investigate, 1x RB, 1x jailkeep, 1x doublevote.  Could activate up to two actions per night but they must be used on different players.  Cannot Jailkeep self.

Town Vig

 

4x vanilla

 

2 mafia goons

1 mafia bus driver, 50% chance of success each night

 

Then, I gave Heavy a 1x investigate at the beginning of Day 2 (to be used any future night) because I accidentally killed Teph.  Eddie shot Teph N1, but it should have been directed at GK due to successful mafia bus drive.  However, I was working through my list in order of people, distracted by kids, and didn't occur to me until was updating my spreadsheet after I posted the deaths in game that Teph should not have died.  Since I couldn't take back his death, I tried to make up for it with the 1x investigate to a vanilla, especially since the Cop was gone.  Random.org decided it would be Heavy instead of Dice (the only two vanilla left). 

 

I definitely made sure to do my spreadsheet first on future nights lol.

 

Since it still fit the "2-5 town power roles" in the OP, I didn't know I should have made a post in the game about a mistake and rebalance, so I'm sorry about that!  I hope you all still had fun anyway. 

 

My sincerest apologies to @Tephulis for accidentally killing you, as I robbed you of the chance to play.  I hope you'll stick around and play some more here!

Twice she was investigated and twice the person died the same night.  I think fate wanted her alive!

Yes. It was also very sneaky that the roles were commonly faked claims. And that the commuter made role confirms very difficult. 

 

Town was it's own worst enemy quite a bit this game.

As for the Tarot stuff.

That was all fun and games, but I found it hilarious how spooky accurate that got for some of ya'll roles.

If I made it to D3 (which would probably have been my first Mafia game ever getting to D3) I was going to try and say I was some kind of Oracle PR, and I've been bread crumbing it all game.

 

The Dice Rolls using the D&D content were real rolls, no dice fudging.

The only time I ever rerolled a dice was when the Table said to reroll a dice, or when I pulled a duplicate card.

 

For Heavy, I only ever pulled the Hierophant, and the Crossroads (Upright) card. The Hierophant card seemed to fit Heavy perfectly, and while I never posted the Crossroads card in game here, there was a reason for that. The interpretation for that would have outed him as "town". His "choices", would have led him towards ruin or reward.

 

For Teph, I only pulled the The Tower (Upright), and it ironically predicted his NK.

 

For DPR, I pulled the The Sun, and the Construct. (In PR Terms, this fits perfectly with JOAT)

 

For Darthe, I pulled The Empress, and the Death (Upright) card. Which makes sense when you know. (In this case, the Death card wasn't a duplicate because it came from a different deck).

 

For Peacesells, I pulled the The High Priestess and the Lance, and while Peace turned out to be a Vanilla Town, narratively the way the two cards talked about a "Duel" (our two trains", and Peace's Intuition? It just worked.

 

For Tigraine, I pulled the Death card, and the Rogue (Upright). She was our Assassin.

For Turin, I pulled the Judgement card, and the Cavern card. This seemed to fit perfectly with his Commuter role. From a "wolf" perspective, it also fit perfectly with the "wolf hiding in a secret lair". lolol.

 

For GK, I pulled The Fool, and the Shield. I was incredibly surprised I pulled the shield on GK when I did, and it was just after he claimed Cop. Talk about spooky as all hell.

 

Ed2Funny, HangedMan and the Dragon. The text of the Hangedman was like.. Holy crap that fit ed perfectly. And then I pulled the Dragon and all I could think of was Smaug and Themberchaud. This giant red sleeping dragon that got fat eating adventurers that wander into it's lair... And the wolves among us were trying to put some sus on Ed since he was slanking. Then he went and put his Vig PR in play? Damn. Lol 

What does a Dragon Shoot? Fire! 

 

Dicetosser1, Always trust them dice! Wheel of Fortune, and the Statue Card (Reversed). Combined we have Chance, and Suppressed Truth.

 

For me, I had

The Hermit, and The Tower Reversed. The Hermit text said I need to "While it’s easy to rely on a guide, you gotta start relying on yourself!”, and the Tower Reversed talks about Avoiding Disaster, a delayed collapse. This for the wolf team was basically D2. 

Two wolves were on the chopping block, and were doing our darndest to sow discord amongst the townies, and keep our Rogue in the shadows. 😉

@Turin Turambar it really wasnt fair how I wasn't there much the first few days.  That's why I tried very hard to be there the last few.

 

The only expected thing that happened over the past week and a half was the orientation for my son...the rest blind sided me.

And we had a whole discussion about your vote being in black.  Darthe suggested I celebrated the "town" win and was iffy on if I should call out the vote.   I finally gave up and went to sleep cause I knew I'd do something stupid lmao
