Heavy gets lynched cos he's a distraction.

Well there is the confirmation that absolutely no one was paying attention when I solved the game, lol.

Masterfully played Ithi, but I really didn't get how everyone just ignored your part in all the miseliminations. Well played wolves.

I didn't even lead the Lynch on you Heavy. That was Dice. I just hammered lol

And because of your previous reactions, to anyone who suspected you, no one knew if you were just doing that again.

Dice did have some really good advice for you 😉

Day 1 I started the Lynch on Marsh One. DPR ran with it. Town decided to Lynch Dice instead. Dice claimed. Town switched to Marsh. I was asleep when that happened.

Day 2. Ed got lynched. He was Mafia. My target was Tigs. She was actually 3rd party

Day 3. Dice leads a Lynch on you. Town agrees. I Hammer cos you are a distraction.

Day 4. I go after Tigs. Tigs is 3rd party.  Tigs is Lynched.

Day 5. I go after Key. Key is Mafia and she is Lynched.

Day 6. I go after Dice. Dice is Town. Dice is Lynched.

Day 6 was the only day where I knew for sure that I wasn't possibly going after the 3rd party.

I was inside the game?

And yes I was completely blindsided and unprepared for your attack on me about carefully crafting posts - it still makes no sense to me. And Marsh was trying to eliminate me and I correctly argued that he was Town. Being a new player just makes you feel completely invisible. Not putting words in anyone's mouths but Gudrean said exactly the same thing in the Among Us game. If you say something clever, you are being coached. No one pays attention to your reads, no one cares about your opinion. It is tough to take when the game takes such an investment of time, effort and stress.

I probably should have realised I was poorly equipped for the emotional rollercoaster, but I have genuinely tried my best.

Fwiw I honestly thought something was off and you were either trying to hide that you were 3rd party or you had a Town power role.

I never said you were being coached. I never ignored you. I was on the Mafia team. It was my job to lynch Town.

Also fun fact. When you got lynched and flipped regular old Vanilla Town I was super disappointed and Key had to remind me that I was actually on the Mafia team and that was a good thing.

The part you can’t see until you’ve played a fair number of games is that everyone feels invisible. Everyone thinks everyone is being coached, or working together, or slanking, or seems wolfy, and on and on.

The idea of an informed minority vs an uninformed majority is to enhance and encourage the suspicion that already exists from being in a small group knowing that the killer(s) are next to you.

The town is blind which lends itself to the emotional rollercoaster for everyone.

And we all keep getting back in line to ride again lol 🤷‍♂️

Fyi... if you had been Lynched first we wouldn't have needed to do anything else because we would have just won.

I'm sorry we can't let you see the discord chat. It lends itself to very easy communication and so there's an awful lot of personal stuff in there that's not game related, cos me and Ed and Key are just friends.

I will try and summarise what went down.

At the end of Day 1, I went to bed and the last thing I said was, 'Let's hope they somehow run up a power role for the Lynch.

The next morning they had, but for some reason they didn't believe Dice. We decided to lean into that and not kill him. Sadly for Dice, a broken Cop was more useful to us than a dead one.

I made a few posts about absolutely believing him 100% that might have looked a bit odd and forced. But they could also be used to 'breadcrumb'

We decide to kill Nyn, cos she's just too good. Rand doesn't believe Dice and protects her. No deaths.

The next Day everyone could not understand why Dice was still alive. This is what we wanted, because what we did made no sense. Ed becomes expendable at this time, as we intend to just keep blocking Dice. Ed know that im gonna call him out if he makes any mistakes. Dice building his part, when he gives his results, adds to the suspicion.

Ed is happy to play a bit lazy and he gets run up. Dice really was not happy about that, cos he is Town, but we make a note of it in case we ever get to our Magic Day, which is Day 5.

Ed claims Doc last minute, which was intended to mirror Dice's claim the previous Day. We all start to unvote. Ed really did flubb who he protected. I really did call him out. Rand is going insane! Dice still thinks Ed might be Town and tries to protect him Ed double flubbs and game over. FWIW I really was mad at you all on that day.

We block Dice again, and start to chip away at the outskirts of Town. We are actively trying to get the 3rd party Lynched, so that helps.

Town still is pre occupied that Dice being alive makes no sense.

We take out the people who are least distracted by that and keep the people who most distrust Dice and most trust me. Verbal is a problem because we think he's the 3rd party cos he's having a great old time.

We don't actually believe that we will ever get to Magic Day 5. Heavy gets lynched cos he's a distraction. Zander gets killed cos he's too clever with numbers.

Tigs is the target for the day 4 lynch. Tigs claims 3rd party she is lynched. Finally we get to kill verbal. We didn't even care where the Pop-Up Pirate was cos we wanted him alive.

They both die together, rather than spend the rest of the game apart.

Now we're are onto Magic Day 5. I CC cop and red peak Key. The level of distrust in Dice cop claim is high. Key dies and is Mafia.

We decide to kill Nyn cos she's just too good and we hope that Marsh will stick to the initial logical thoughts of the game that it makes absolutely no sense to not just kill the cop.

Did we ever think it would work? Heck no. But we had fun in our chat and that was enough. We honestly thought we'd create a bit of chaos, Verb would turn into a Serial Killer and he'd shoot everyone and win.

But I really am exhausted by it all. I was super uncomfortable on Day 6 cos I wasn't trying to find 3rd party anymore. I was just lying my head off and I didn't like that.

If I hold up a mirror and look at the game in reverse, I still don’t want to see that play working.

And now I have to see it.

From now on, every time something isn’t making sense I have to wonder if mafia is “pulling an Ithi”.

It is wonderfully evil lol

Also it's easy to call out that players should have done this, and could have done that - once you are on the outside.

It's a lot harder to see clearly from inside the game. Unless your name is Verbal lol  I really wanted to kill Verbal every single night.

I heard that he’s gonna start using “skibidi” instead of “giggity”.

I've already "pulled" THE Ithi, lol.

As to the game, every once in a while the "crazy" play works. It took commitment and perseverance to accomplish. Plus a sufficiently wolfy cop.

I wonder if town would have been better off just lynching him D1?

Hey Darthe,  did you release the night actions?

It was combo of events that did not benefit the town, definitely. But agreed about the perseverance - Ithi or Key could’ve misstepped at any time. Plus, they had to pivot nearly every day. All that takes planning and balance to the nth degree.

Cop outed in D1, Mafia lynch on D2 and Doc NK on N2 with all of the shenanigans in between. They did a killer job lol

Btw.... I totally spotted that Rand was the Doc and made an executive decision to kill him. But I had previously thought he might be 3rd Party cos of the italic thing.

He was very very loud about Ed not being the Doc, which we did hope would happen.

Lol, everyone knew Rand was the doc or the cop - he was fishing reveals like Capt. Ahab

Btw in the thread people repeatedly confused cop/doc. Is that a normal thing (autocorrect, or just an easy slip of the tongue) or does it ever reveal anything underlying? It just seemed to happen really often that different people were using the wrong word. Does that always happen in these situations (where both roles are relevant)?

Btw, I was not planning on slanking that hard. My real life really did get super busy.  There were many times where either I was planning on getting back in or Ithi was encouraging me to get back in and then a student would come in my office, or there would be a problem on our new floor that is currently under construction that I'd have to handle, or my boss would call me, etc.

I can't believe y'all let me slank like that -- especially when @DPR was giving @Verbal32 attitude for slanking ;).

@Ithillian Turambar 100000% gets the Medal for this game.  She came up with the idea of CCing dice, she researched her posts a LOT and we discussed what I should say and what she should say in our discord wolf chat.  She's a master villain and I will never trust her again 😆 (I mean that in the best way possible <3).  I was mostly just along for the ride on her plan.

Automistake I would think it’s not a technique or a player mistake. Just one thumbin’ it on the phone lol

FWIW, to me it's not generally AI.  It would depend on how I was reading that person beyond that.  If they were already looking scummy to me, it might stick in my brain as another reason to distrust them.  If I was reading them as town I'd probably let it go unless there was something else that they did that bugged me.

@HeavyHalfMoonBlade - You did an awesome job solving the game right before you died! I hope you know going after you was just in the spirit of the game and I really hope you will keep playing!

@Ironeyes - I'm hoping there's no ill will that I went after you on D1.  It was all to survive of course ;).

It can be difficult to not get upset when people don't believe you or are going after you in thread, but it's all a game and as far as I know, even with what looks like vitriol in thread, we are all friends/friendly outside of the game :).  We are playing a role after all!

Shame rand blocked the nk on me n1 xD

You were very obvious town and you're an excellent player so we wanted you out 🙂.  Then we had to go another route when Rand expertly chose you to protect.

Yes, this call was all Ithi!  I thought his excitement about catching scum looked very real and I doubted he would post all of that if he was the doc, but Ithi suggested he was so insistent because he was the real doc so we killed him.  I believe this was the first night we almost killed Verb, but then changed our mind to Rand.

This is all true.  She said "Heavy is never going to let me live this down - that he was vanilla town and I got him lynched." And I said, dude you are mafia, so you are supposed to get town lynched :).

You are very kind to include me, but it was 99.9% Ithi :).   She is amazing!!
