I'm not sure where the confusion is WiFi, but basically I think AJ's saying that the fact that BFG didn't vote Illian to put another vote between her and being lynched is something to think about.   

 

Rather than pushing the vote from 3 votes on Illian and 2 votes on BFG to 4 votes on Illian and 2 votes on BFG, she voted for Nyn, who wasn't really a counterwagon at that point.  So she'd be leaving herself at more risk for possibly being lynched by not voting Illian.  In a vacuum, that seems less self preservationist than if she HAD voted for Illian, because in order for her to get lynched, she'd need at least 2 additional votes to move on to her or have voters on the Illian wagon fall off if she had voted for Illian.  Basically BFG voting for Nyn leaves her at more risk of being lynched, which is maybe not something mafia would want to do.

 

As for the part about Hallia and BFG, I think AJ is suggesting that both of them being off wagon and neither of them voting for each other at that juncture makes them possibly teamed because neither one of them did anything to influence a lynch toward the other and neither did much to either secure a lynch on town!Illian or prevent one on town!illian.  Both of them had a chance to influence the lynch one way or the other on Illian, and neither did.

 

That said, that's all just based on wagonomics in a vacuum and doesn't take into account that neither has been around a ton to contribute, nor does it take into account other reasons for BFG specifically to avoid voting Illian.

BFG was pushing Chris as a scum read and the vast majority of her interactions were around that read on Chris; Chris was voting Illian.  Generally people don't vote with someone they are scum reading.

 

Another situation that could happen (but wasn't true in this case) would be if BFG were town reading Illian.  Anyalignment!BFG voting town read Illian before she had to would look really bad, so she probably wouldn't vote there unless she absolutely had to.

Right.  That's the question, though.  Is she actually town and we're all somehow wrong on her... or was it some sort of levels?

 

I don't think any!BFG (or most experienced players in general) care about being wrong when voting g purely out of selfpres.  She knows her alignment.  It's infinitely better to let an unknown player get lynched over confirmed town.

I don't think I'm the best candidate (that would be someone who's being town read by some people and scum read by others, and I'm not), but I like the logic of forcing scum to choose between mid-level players and high-level. I was mostly just saying I like Wifi's general idea

If she's mafia, she doesn't know she's town.  But ultimately, yes, it would be better for mafia!BFG to ensure Illian dies over letting herself be at risk.

 

If she was around with a few minutes to go, voting Nyn there was basically always less than ideal, unless she's town, is convinced Nyn is mafia, and thought somebody would roll on Nyn to actually put the lynch through.

The vote count was posted both shortly before and again shortly after she entered the thread, both on the same page.  I have a hard time believing she didn't know where votes were at.
