And FWIW, I'd definitely take it.  Either I get dead tonight and dont have to worry about what happens, or I actually get to play without having people doubting themselves every time they feel good about me. 

 

People like BFG, who would probably still tinfoil on IC!Chris, not withstanding ?

Nyn and Hallia haven’t had enough activity for me to really read them and I’d like to remove them from my PoE, but they haven’t done anything particularly scummy that’s lynch worthy at this point. People seem to be split on you and I think you’re an unlikely NK option for N1 and if you’re town cleared that’s +EV for town. Marsh I’m having a hard time getting a read on and he’s very unlikely to be targeted for a NK any time soon, so having him be town cleared late game would be +EV as well. 

 

Giving diety to AJ had less to do with AJ and more to do with the fact that he hasn’t checked in and even if he does or if someone replaces him, they aren’t caught up and are unlikely to make a good choice of who to pass to.

The bold is assuming I don't die immediately upon passing the role to someone else. Which actually gives me the idea that later in the game, as long as we still have the deity around, we might be able to control the mafia kill by pricing them out of killing anyone who isn't confirmed town. 

 

That said, I don't hate the line of passing it to a middle-of-the-road player like myself, Hallia, or Kat. People who aren't on the top of the NK list but are still active enough to make a good choice about what to do with the role afterward. I also like the idea of passing it to someone who's suspect, like BFG or Illian. A 1x vig shot that can't kill town is pretty dang powerful.

Bolded was my thought process, and I'm assuming Chris's as well.  Basically by forcing mafia to pick between a strong player/noisy town leader and someone who is mechanically cleared, it works in towns favor.  Particularly for N2.    

 

As for giving it to BFG or Illian, that's why I told Zander it would depend on flips.  If we lynch one of them and they flip mafia, I'd be looking to pass to the person who is most likely teamed with them.  If they flip town, I'd probably go more middle of the pack.

I'd argue that Marsh isn't really a middle of the road player, I'd say he's one of the most widely read town players I've seen this game

Tbf, he's probably not where I'd start.  But he's definitely someone I'd consider for reasons outside of "he's in my PoE."

Had a chance to go back and read Chris's game where BFG was scum and I'm not seeing a lot of difference here tbh.  Was hoping she'd come back and contribute something but hasn't happened.  Wouldn't mind seeing wagons on Illian and BFG at this point.

I don't think Marsh is Scummy necessarily but I dont have him as Town and iirc others don't have him Town yet either.
