I’m back at work and overseeing a job that requires me to witness a lot of steps, so I’ll be outside probably until it’s time to come in and inventory. We usually wrap up in another hour, hour and half so I should be back before DL.

I’m gonna be a brat and not vote anyone yet and see where the chips fall instead :jordan:

Fair enough. I just figured I'd vote for someone in the meanwhile, just in case. The case against BB is not that strong, honestly, so I'm not all that sure about it. Still, I am not sure who should go instead just yet. I could vote for Socio, but that wouldn't really change the situation that much.

Who are you eye balling then?

no ones truly leaping out at me.

A good amount people here I have no prior knowledge on.

And since its been a while since Jurassic Park and Ragnarok, so what I remember of the people I did kind of know is rather fuzzy.

I don't know. I guess the best thing for me to do is go back and check the last few pages for anything interesting. I'll post again once I'm done with that.

Irt Marsh, I liked his general attitude and responses. It's not based on much but he seemed pretty upfront about things and I appreciate that in people in general. The thing with Darthe and him.... Unsure if it means much atp. He mostly just sounded salty.

As I understand it Marsh and Darthe have this thing where Darthe tries to soul read Marsh from his intro so it’s more or less expected and in a way Marsh’s response this game should have also been expected regardless

I’d say going out on a limb to vote Kaylee seems more like an anti-consensus, doing my own thing versus a throw away. At least in intent

@beadsman generally it’s good to put a vote down and back your convictions. I’m just being a hypocrite because I don’t particularly feel the need to use it at the moment and it may be informative for me not to just yet.

you see why people are suspicious of her,

but do you find her posting suspicious?

those are two very different things ime

Oh, I forgot this.

I would say not.

I don't know her well enough to really say if its out character,

but if had to decide the game based off of this and this alone, I guess its slightly suspicious.

However, taken in the larger game, I think that its well within the normal margin of error.

That's an accurate assessment. To further clarify, my Kaylee vote is a combination of two things. First is voting based on my convictions, as she is my top scum read right now. Second is an attempt to see if there is a potential third train that got lost in the competing trains on BB and Soc

It's perfectly ok to wait until closer to the deadline to vote, then choose between the viable trains. That's what I usually do, especially on D1 when my reads are flimsy at best.

@Ironeyes I could hold out, but I'm not going to be available soon.

Fair point. Not worth it to miss the deadline, and I'm totally speaking from personal experience there

So what I got from my review is primarily the following:

Cory seems different from what I remember

Maybe its something that he just didn't do in the last couple of games, but all he been doing is prodding people either aggresively or passively in attempts to gain information while only tossing out seemingly random bits of info, and fluff.

This is suspicious to me

Over all, if I had to lynch a player today I think it would be him.

Wait, Cory prodding people for information == tossing out random fluff? To me it looks like trying to solve the game, and certainly not lynchable

what I meant by that is that he isn't offering anything. Go back and look. What I saw was him expirementally voting on several diferent people, asking BB and Beads about their stance, and then asking me.

I don't remember him giving his stance.

Well then.

That's certainly an interesting tactic.

Yes, he's being cagey about his reasons, but that doesn't add enough scum equity to him to vote over people who have actually done scummy things IMO

I just finished rereading after a decent night's sleep and my first cup of coffee.  Let's see if I can be useful before I have to start getting ready for work.

I'd say the initial response was ok, considering his unfamiliarity with forum mafia and DM in particular - the addition of "notice I refrained from voting as a gesture of good faith" .... ehhh....  following that immediately with joke voting Marsh only indicates his comfort level with his roommate.  I'm not sure what to make of his response to MY response ("I figured that's what you were doing, and intentionally decided to make my response *interesting* to see how you would respond").  Seems a bit convoluted.

Well, that depends entirely on whether you're town.  :wink

Oh Cory

I have no doubt whatsoever that you have this spreadsheet.

I'd say I joke vote something close to 100% of the time as either alignment.  Serious day 1 votes, I really couldn't say.  I expect there's an actual number, but I wouldn't be able to tell you how much of my voting pattern is due to my alignment and how much is due to the game state and my personal frame of mind.  I would actually find it interesting to know

I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself as mafia to appear normal and it stresses me out and makes me all thread-avoidy until I start to feel physically ill.   I expect I probably do vote on D1 as mafia pretty often because it seems to be expected, if I'm around and posting.

Since my last couple of extended mafia vacations (pretty much entirely due to being sent a non-town role PM) I try not to stress myself out as town, especially on D1.  There are worse things in life than being mislynched, and I have no problem admitting I know nothing.  But if I feel like I have anything resembling a handle on the game, I will always ALWAYS vote as town.

Yep. East coast is CURRENTLY 3 hours ahead of us (until Sunday, when everyone else falls back and we stay the same).   I see Chris has saved the day (*closes the pending.me.uk tab I opened up before finishing my catchup*).

Brief thoughts to follow.

Ok only read to here. Got asked to stay at work. I have 10 minutes left of break then I'll be gone until after deadline. The above is true about Tress btw. I vouch. Anyone around want to give me a quickie on what else happened game related?

For me, what makes this a larger thing for me is that as far as I remember from the other two games that I've seen, he didn't do that.

Also, no one's pressed him, at the least him getting pressed isn't bad.
